Comfortable Travel Clothes

If you know me at all, then you know that comfortable travel clothes are a must for me. In fact, I would travel in my pajamas and Ugg Boots if I could, but unfortunately traveling in PJs just isn’t acceptable in the real world.  Thankfully, I found some extremely comfortable jeans from Punch Boutique and the cutest ankle boots by Yosi Samra for traveling. I wore this outfit while traveling to New York last week for a fun work trip with MZ Wallace, Yosi Samra and Julie Vos.

Outfit: Quilted Joules Jacket (wearing sz S) & AG Legging Ankle Jeans c/o Punch Boutique (order online or call the store at (540) 904-6743) | Drew Ankle Boots c/o Yosi Samra (also available here) | Sleeveless Sweater (similar here) | West 57th 360 Wheelie c/o Henri Bendel | Chelsea Tote &  Cameo Luster Mayfair Tote c/o MZ Wallace |

Jewelry: Elephant Pendant Necklace, Spencer Link Bracelet, Soho Ring, Greek Key Cuff, Chloe Ring <–SALE Alert! Take 30% OFF w/ code: HOTR30

About the jacket: We all know how much I love the color olive so of course I fell in love with the jacket because of that, but then I fell even more in love with it once I tried it on. Not only is it super comfortable and flattering, but it’s also perfect for the weather down here in the south and even great for layering under bigger coats up north.

About the jeans: I’ve only owned these jeans for a couple of weeks and I’ve already worn them more than some of the jeans I’ve had sitting in my closet for a couple of years. They fit like a legging and they’re perfect for petite people because they’re ankle length jeans so they hit just right on me, which means no alterations! I also really like the wash because they’re in between dark and light so you can wear them year round.

New York Fashion Week Packing

Let me just put it this way, packing for New York Fashion Week is no piece of cake! Like at all!! In fact, I just started packing this morning and I fly out today. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve totally been making a mental list of everything I want to bring these past few days, but it still looks like a disaster in my room right now!

Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Make sure to follow along with my #NYFW adventures on Instagram & Snapchat: @HauteOffTheRack #hauteNYFW

P.S. In case you missed my Instagram post this morning, I will not be looking this glam arriving to New York at 1 am tonight!! The pumps, little black dress and sleeveless dress outfit is how I always imagined I would look traveling to New York, but it’s not even close! How about you add two more overstuffed pieces of luggage, ankle boots (or sneakers) and a wrinkled shirt that I pulled from the bottom of my bag once I realized that I had nothing to wear to the airport!

Cabo San Lucas Recap

Good Morning readers, as you know I just recently returned from an amazing trip to Cabo San Lucas with Blake (my boyfriend) and my blogger besties: A Pinch of Lovely, My Style Diaries and Carrie Bradshaw Lied. We also had the pleasure of bringing along amazing photographer and now friend, Taylor Cole! We stayed in Pedregal at Casa Verde thanks to the lovely ladies at ShopBellaC. We had the most amazing view of the Pacific ocean as well as all of Pedregal from our suites as you can see in the photo below! Be sure to scroll through the rest of the post to see photos of all the fun things we got to experience in Cabo.cabo-san-lucas

Before we sat down for a lovely dinner, the hosts gave us a tour of Flora Farms! Thank goodness we were able to carry around our drinks because it was so hot out that night!

Bar Esquina at the Bahia Hotel was by far my favorite restaurant that we ate at during our trip. In fact, we loved it so much, we ate there for lunch and dinner! For dinner, I ordered the lobster pasta and for lunch we split all kinds of gourmet pizzas, salads, sandwiches and cocktails.

cabo-arches

I’d have to say that the top highlight our Cabo San Lucas trip was the sunset cruise with Cabo Fishing and Tours on the Blue Sky boat. The weather was absolutely perfect with just the right amount of breeze and the sunset views were stunning. On top of that, the crew made sure that we had a cold beer in hand at all times and the captain allowed us to all get as many photos as we wanted in front of the beautiful Cabo arches. As you can see here, we got plenty! Even though we had a camera, they made sure to get plenty of photos for us too with their camera in case we missed anything. The boat ride lasted two hours and the only thing I could complain about is that I wish I were still there now on that boat instead of at my desk. This crew truly went above and beyond for us! We will definitely be coming back!  Oh and in case you’re wondering, you’re allowed to bring snacks too!!haute-off-the-rack
