Mackenzie-Childs Home Decor HQ Trip Recap

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a beautiful Labor Day Weekend. Today I’m finally sharing my MacKenzie-Childs Home Decor HQ Trip recap. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but that is because we’ve been moving into our new house and if you follow me on Instagram then I’m sure you’ve seen all of my MacKenzie-Childs pieces covering my kitchen. I’m a new fan of the brand after getting to visit their headquarters in upstate New York. We had the pleasure of staying at the charming E.B. Morgan House, one of the Inns of Aurora, which is right down the street from the MC Campus and Farmhouse.

Scroll through this post to learn more about my trip along with my top favorite pieces from MacKenzie-Childs that I currently have in my own home.

How beautiful is the MacKenzie-Childs farmhouse? Every room is decked out with MC prints from the floors and wall paper to the kitchen and the bathrooms.

I loved staying at the EB Morgan House. This was my adorable room, which overlooked the beautiful finger lakes of Aurora.

On our first night in Aurora, we all attended a floral arranging class given by the most talented local florist. She taught us all the secret ins and outs of putting together the most “imperfect” flower arrangement for your home. The coolest part is that we all used different MacKenzie-Childs vessels for arrangements and placed them around the EB Morgan house to enjoy during our stay.  This was definitely one of my favorite activities because I never knew that chicken wire was used to keep the flowers in place and it felt so good to challenge my creativity while winding down at the same time.

Two of my other favorite activities during the trip included a flower crown class and getting to make and paint our own ceramic mugs, which you’ll soon see me drinking out of in my new home.

When it came to meals, the MacKenzie-Childs team did not disappoint. Every lunch and dinner had its own theme with the most beautiful table setting. I know we all left this trip feeling inspired and excited to decorate our own homes with MC pieces.

As for my personal favorite collection, I think that would be a toss up between Courtly Check and Morning Glory. Not to say that I didn’t order quite a few items from the Flower Market and Parchment Check collections. What is your favorite MacKenzie-Childs collection?

Stay tuned to see my all time favorite kitchen and decor pieces from MC in upcoming posts!

Wardrobe Staple: AG Jeans

Happy Friday Eve everyone! Today I’m sharing one of my top wardrobe staples: AG Jeans! My favorite style is the AG “ankle legging” jeans, which you can always find available in a variety of different washes at Nordstrom. I’m sure you notice me wearing them all the time. I love the ankle legging style because they hit at the perfectly length on me, which rarely ever happens because I’m so petite. I’m only about five feet so not having to get my jeans hemmed in amazing. However, sometimes I choose to anyway and I just cut the hem for a cool raw edge.

On top of the perfect length, they’re also super comfortable and give you just right amount of stretch. Although, I do recommend sizing down in the ankle legging style since they stretch so much.  They don’t stretch out, but to give you an example, I normally wear a size 26 in jeans, but in this particular style I wear the size 25.

Scroll through this post to see how I wear my AG jeans for everyday style.

Get Your Glow On With Formula 10.0.6

Hi everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend. I just returned from the beach and my skin is desperately in need of some end-of-summer care and pampering. Fortunately, I just restocked my beauty cabinet with some amazing products from Formula 10.0.6, which is exactly what my face needs right now. Tons of mud masks and moisture!

All of these of products are fab, but I have to say my top favorite one is the “Get Your Glow On” skin brightening mask. It’s made with citrus and papaya, which are two ingredients that both of my grandmothers instilled in me as child when it came it came to skincare. It’s like Formula 10.0.6 combined the best of both worlds in one product. Plus I love the fact that it reminds me of both my grandmothers every time I use it.

The skin brightening make is essentially a radiance boosting peel mask that revitalizes tired skin, which how is my skin looks all the time these day while wedding planning. All you do is apply the mask to your face and then peel it off to easily remove dead skin cells, unclog pores and ban breakouts. The powerful papaya helps to resurface skin while citrus boosts brightness giving you a perfectly clear, flawless and radiant complexion. I love how the product isn’t too harsh on the face since I have such sensitive skin. Instead of redness or irritation, it left my skin feeling silky smooth.

Now here comes the best part…all of these products are each under $7 at Target!

In other news, I just unpacked from the weekend only pack everything back up again because we’re finally moving into our new house this week!

A Mark And Graham Personal Favorite!

Hi everyone, if you saw my recent post with Mark & Graham then you know how much I love their travel bags and luggage. However, I also enjoy using their everyday handbags, accessories and totes especially the Concourse Rolling Briefcase. The best part about the rolling briefcase is that it also doubles as a travel bag and comes fully equipped with plenty of pockets and compartments for easy organization and convenience. It also comes with cushioned tech compartments to help protect your laptop and/or tablet. So you can use it as a daily work bag and then whip out the handle and rolling feature when traveling. In my last post I mentioned that it even comes with a zipper pocket on the back that slips over the handle of your other rolling suitcases, which is super ideal when you’re outnumbered by your suitcases at the airport. Additionally, you can’t ignore the fact that it’s probably the most beautiful briefcase you’ve ever seen. Plus you can even get it personalized with your initials.

How beautiful is this Raiden crescent necklace by Charme Silkiner from her latest collection? She always comes out with the best designs for crescent charms.
