Good Morning readers! Wake up and smell the roses! When my photographer, Casey sent over these images to me last night and I saw the photos of me smelling the beautiful red rose I of course thought of the saying “Wake up and smell the roses.”  The timing of that couldn’t have been more perfect.  With Thanksgiving right around the corner it’s time to take a look around and reevaluate your life.  What are you thankful for?  What makes you happy?  What doesn’t?  And what can you improve on?

Right now I’m thankful for a bed to sleep in, this crisp cold weather, and all of my supportive friends, family and boyfriend.  Something that makes me happy is every night before I go to bed I look forward to waking up in the morning because I get to have a cup of coffee.  I don’t know about you, but for me drinking a cup of coffee is lot like waking up and smelling the roses.  It gives me time to stop, think, relax and if you will put my life on pause for a few moments each morning.  Something that makes me unhappy is all of the little critters running around above my ceiling and keeping up all night! I swear it sounds like this animal is literally trying to cut through my bedroom wall with a mini handsaw.  I’m not even exaggerating! A mini handsaw!!  Not to worry though I’ve already called the pest control.  Something I can improve on is better prioritizing my time.  Who’s with me on that one?

As for the outfit, I am just in love with the beautiful intricate embroidery on this poncho sent to me from Johnny Was.  It’s such a great casual piece to wear with booties and leggings during the fall or with white denim jeans during the spring and summer.  For this particular outfit, I decided to put a little spin on this boho chic top by pairing it with a pair of Citizens of Humanity leatherette rocket skinnies, which by the way are currently my most comfortable pair of jeans right now!

P.S.  I just want to say that I’ve have been enjoying hearing everything that you all are thankful for on the Amanda Uprichard Giveaway post as well as how you’d style the leather martini peplum top!  Click the ad below for details on how to win the Amanda Uprichard Leather Peplum Top Giveaway!

Good Morning readers! First and foremost, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Secondly, thank you all so much for supporting Haute Off The Rack on Facebook!

Yesterday, Haute Off The Rack reached 1,000 likes on Facebook, and it hasn’t even been published for a full year yet. I can’t begin to tell you how thankful I am for all of your support! Also, a big thank you and congratulations to Taylor Smith for being the 1,000th person to “like” Haute Off The Rack’s Facebook fan page!  I’ll be contacting you soon about a special surprise!

Third of all, how stunning does this shade of blush look against these chocolate brown wax-coated skinnies! I immediately fell for this gorgeous color combo after putting the outfit together, and I’m sure you could agree that the white crochet beret gives it the perfect finishing touch.  The whole looks practically screams Fall, which explains why I felt the need to toss the crisp brown and golden leaves up in the air. You wouldn’t believe how thrilled I was when when we shot this look, not only because I loved the outfit, but because it was on the same day as our first official cool front in Louisiana!  We couldn’t have planned it better!

P.S.  What do you think of Kristen Soileau’s photography?  I think she did a pretty amazing job!

New pieces from the Amanda Uprichard Fall 2012 collection!  Coming soon to Haute Off The Rack!

Good Morning readers, How much do you love these Citizens of Humanity wax coated denim and Hunter rain boots.  I’m sure some of you may be thinking that they’re all a tad pricey so I think it’s time that I let you in on a little secret…   I rarely ever pay full price when purchasing an item online.  All it takes is a little research!  Basically, all you need to do is go to a coupon web site such as Couponchief.com and search the online store that you plan on purchasing from.  Coupon Chief will provide you with a list of possible promotion codes and coupons as well their success rates.  You can search any type of store from clothing and accessories to home and electronics.  Plus you can even search by related tags such as denim, electronics, jewelry, beauty, etc. to find the best deal on the item you’re searching for.  If you don’t have the time to search, no worries Coupon Chief will search for you!   Just sign up for a free account to receive email alerts for coupons for all your favorite retailers.

I’ve actually used Coupon Chief myself quite a few times, and I usually always find a coupon that works!   I recently used a promotion code from Coupon Chief and received 10% OFF a dress I purchased from Revolve Clothing.  I ended up saving $19!  That’s nearly half a tank of gas!

Considering that I am a college student on a budget, I am always looking for ways to save while still being able to keep up with the latest trends.  That is why I always search for coupons and promotion codes before making an online purchase because I never want to miss out on an opportunity to save a few bucks!  Actually, I shouldn’t just say online purchases because I’ve found in-store coupons online while out shopping on a number of occasions.  And if you’re lucky some stores will even honor online coupons and promotion codes.  It never hurts to ask!  So next time you’re ready to make a purchase, don’t forget to see how much you can save at Couponchief.com!

Have a wonderful weekend!
