Holiday Party Hairstyles With TRESemmé
Hi everyone, it’s that time of year again where must trade in our fuzzy socks and 3-day-old top knots for killer heels and perfectly un-done locks. I’m referring to holiday party season, which is why I’ve teamed up with TRESemmé to share some holiday party hairstyles along with all of the vital tips and tricks! I’ll be sharing three stunning hairstyles created by lead TRESemmé stylist, Tyler Laswell and how you can try them yourself at home. Today, I’m kicking off the season with bombshell waves and double braids!

For my first look, I rocked voluminous bombshell waves with a rose gold, sequined mini dress and a sleeveless burgundy coat. I accessorized with a quilted chain bag, a velvet choker and some bowtie heels. This outfit is perfect for a fancy Christmas party or you could even save it for New Years Eve.

TYLERR’S BOMBSHELL WAVES: TIPS AND TRICKS
1. Don’t over work your hair when blowdrying; this is a volume killer! Just make sure the product is dry and the ends are smooth. Let the curling iron or hot rollers do the rest.
2. TRESemmé TRES TWO Mousse and TRESemmé TRES TWO Mega Hold Hairspray are ideal products to create this look. Both are lightweight and moveable but pack a powerful punch when it comes to holding a voluminous style.
3. I like to keep my teasing light and airy when I am creating this kind of a style. Start at the roots by spraying a little TRESemmé TRES TWO Mega Hold Hairspray and tease the hair with a flick of the wrist working your way to the ends. Also, it is important to keep your tease nice and clean. After I am done teasing, I like to go over the tops sections of the hair with a flat bore bristle brush to smooth out any rough patches.

For my second look, I went a little more boho-glam with two side braids and an elaborate beaded dress. I love how the double braids give this look an unexpected twist with a more fun and playful vibe as opposed to the sexy bombshell waves.

TYLER’S DOUBLE BRAID: TIPS AND TRICKS
1. I love to braid two to three day unwashed hair. By this point, it has a few different layers of products in it and this makes my life so much easier when creating a textured braid. If you are looking to create this kind of texture on day one, all you have to do is combine TRESemmé TRES TWO Mousse and TRESemmé TRES TWO Extra Hold Gel and apply evenly throughout your hair. Rough dry using your hands and a blow dryer. If the hair still feels too soft, repeat this until you can feel the products in the hair.
2. If your hands feel sticky after finishing the braid, be sure to wash them as this keeps your hands from sticking to the hair and pulling too much out when you go to fluff your braids.
3. Practice makes perfect when it comes to braiding so don’t give up. Also, who likes a perfect braid anyways; purposely undone is how I like my braids.

For extra volume, Tyler added Luxyhair extensions into my natural hair to create both of these hairstyles. However, both of these looks can be done using just your own hair. They may just look slightly different.
I hope you loved these two holiday party hairstyles and make sure to stay tuned for my next hairstyle featuring two different ways to rock a milkmaid braid! Also, I’ll be showing how I created my own version of Tyler’s bombshell waves using his tips and tricks, but without the the added hair extensions.

Sleek Fall Outfits
Hi everyone, today I’ve partnered with Nordstrom to share four tips on how to create sleek fall outfits because bundling up doesn’t always have to look frumpy.
- Wear all black beneath your coat. This is probably a no brainer, but I think we sometimes forget this little easy little trick. I especially recommend wearing black jeans or leggings.

2. Go for pointy toe boots and booties! Not only do they add an edgier vibe to your look, but they also help to lengthen your legs and look super flattering with black jeans and leggings.
| Shop Pointy Toe Boots & Booties |
3. Size down in moto jackets! When it comes to faux leather jackets, I always feel like the tighter they are, the warmer they feel. Plus a more fitted moto jacket helps you avoid looking boxy.

4. Swap out your chunky sweater for a sleeveless turtleneck beneath a faux leather moto jacket. It will still keep you warm while helping you avoid extra volume and puffiness throughout the arms of the your jacket. You can always add a scarf for extra warmth too.

5 Christmas Traditions With World Market
Hi everyone, today I’m sharing five Christmas traditions with World Market to encourage you to start your own. The older I get, the faster the years seem to go by especially during the holidays so I like to soak up every bit of the season by celebrating with a few special traditions. Some sold and some new!
- Every year when the holiday season rolls around, we pull out all of the Christmas decorations and drink hot-chocolate while listening to Christmas music and decorating the tree. We also started a new tradition this year where we make homemade turkey and sausage gumbo with our Thanksgiving leftovers.
2. Even though the holidays can be super hectic and bus, we always find at least one night to curl up on the couch with hot-chocolate and freshly-baked cookies to watch Elf and The Grinch. However, I usually watch both of those movies at least ten more times by myself. LOL
3. The holiday season isn’t complete without dining at our favorite Italian restaurant, Sal & Judy’s. Also, we like to spend a day in New Orleans, to shop, try a new restaurant and see all of the Christmas decorations.
4. Every Christmas Day, we celebrate 4 Christmases. Yes, you read that right, FOUR! Blake and I both come from divorced families so we have to make all of the rounds, which seems crazy, I know! BUT if you look at the bright side, that’s just two extra sets of families that you get to share the happiness of the holidays with. The more the merrier right!?
5. Instead of exchanging gifts with Blake, we book flights for a trip somewhere fun. This Christmas we booked flights to Rome for the summer. We’re going to travel all over Rome, Italy and the Mediterranean for 18 days!
Bonus Tradition: We just started this one, but each year we plan to visit New York City in early December to get us in the holiday spirit. It’s the perfect place to get you excited for Christmas.
Double Bonus Tradition: Create Christmas miracles! Unfortunately, real life miracles don’t happen like they do in movies where magic pops out of the sky and everyone gets exactly what they want for Christmas. Miracles stem from people with kind hearts so think about what you can offer to the world or your community or even to someone right in your home this holiday season. Most of us are so blessed with everything we need, but there are so many people who are struggling to get by during the holidays. So I strongly encourage you to reach deep inside your hearts and see what you can give back this Christmas. The gift of giving is the greatest of all.
Scroll down to the end of this post to see ways you can give back this season.

Ways To Give Back This Holiday Season:
- Adopt a family in your community to fill their tree with home presents or home cooked meals. You can always find families in need at local churches or your children’s school.
- Offer to help your elderly neighbors or relatives decorate their homes for the holidays. Everyone deserves some Christmas cheer.
- Help keep the homeless warm. We can’t always invite people into our homes so donate warm blankets, coats, scarves and gloves to homeless shelters.
- Every time you go to the grocery store, buy extra canned goods an non-perishable food to drop into the donation buckets.
- Keep your eyes open for people who need you! I know we can all distracted with shopping, parties, gifts and decorating, but let’s not forget the reason for the season. Remember to look up from what you’re doing for yourself and see what you can do for other. Even if that just means smiling at someone in the checkout line at the store and wishing them a happy holiday.
- Pay it forward! Offer to pay for the person’s coffee order in line behind you! It could turn their whole day around.
