The Gigi New York Jenni Saddle Bag In Suede!

Happy Friday everyone! I’m so excited to bring back the Jenni Saddle Bag with Gigi New York for a third season and this time we’re introducing the newest edition in a beautiful suede with hand lacing detail. This fall we’re offering the bag in three new suede colors: taupe, cognac and olive and you’ll also notice that we went for sleeker and more minimal look by nixing the tassel.  Don’t worry though, it still hold all the best qualities as pebble leather version including the full pocket across the backside of the bag for easy access to all your essential items like your phone and keys.

If you remember back to our first launch of the Jenni Saddle Bag, I designed it small enough to wear across the body while staying out of the way, yet also large enough to hold everything from your phone, keys, sunglasses, wallet, touch up makeup and more.

  1. The Beauty Blender | I love using the Beauty Blender to apply everything from moisturizer and primer to foundation and even concealer. Just don’t forget to wet it first so that it doesn’t absorb the product. I also recommend buying the cleanser so that it doesn’t build up bacteria over time! Fortunately Nordstrom carries both
  2. Diorshow Waterproof Mascara | I kid you not that I have been using this same mascara for over ten years! I love the size of the wand and bristles and the formula works so well with my lashes. Also, since it’s waterproof, you don’t have to worry about sweating and smudging it or swimming and having it run down your face during the summer.
  3. Laura Geller Spackle 30 SPF | With summer coming around the corner, I can’t stress SPF enough! If you can find a foundation or powder with SPF that you like for your skin, great! If not, I highly recommend the Laura Geller Spackle with 30 SPF, which you can also find at Nordstrom.

How To Style Colorful Sandals For Summer

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Mother’s Day! I’m just getting back into the swing of things since returning from Palm Beach. I actually didn’t want to leave and I’m currently plotting ways on how I shall return to Palm Beach and maybe even move there. Okay…so maybe I won’t go as far as moving there, but I will definitely be visiting again very soon. As you an see from the photos below, I’m not exaggerating when I say that every corner, front yard, alleyway and even stairway were just so breathtaking! I was so glad that I packed a suitcase full of printed dresses, rompers and colorful accessories to complement the beautiful backdrops of Palm Beach including these spicy mustard sandals from Sole Society in today’s post.

Speaking of the sandals featured in today’s post, I notice that a lot of people tend to avoid colorful sandals in fear of them not “matching” anything in their wardrobe. Well, I’m here to tell you that when it comes to styling colorful items, your outfit doesn’t have to actually “match” your accessories, it just needs to “go” with them! In other words, your colorful shoes or accessories don’t have to be the exact same color as the print in your outfit, the colors and textures just have to complement each other.

For example, my spicy mustard sandals don’t match the exact shade of yellow in my romper, but they do complement the soft yellow, poppy red and green in the print.

5 Fun Facts About My Mom with Sofft Shoes

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a nice weekend! In honor of Mother’s Day coming up this month, I decided to partner with Sofft Shoes to give you and your mom a chance to each win a cute pair of sandals for summer. To celebrate the Mother’s Day Giveaway with Sofft Shoes, I thought I would share 5 fun facts about my mom too!

  1. No, you’re not seeing things… my mom is in fact in better shape than I am! She’s super active between tennis, private cheer lessons and working out every day before going to work. I try to keep up, but I get hungry!

2) She is a former gymnast and college cheerleader and she coached me in competitive cheerleading for nine years. She still continues to coach young girls and even started a special needs cheer team, in which I also help with.  We have coached our special needs cheer squad together for the past three years. We practice with our 16 girls every Wednesday evening and perform at four to five competitions each season. If you follow along with me on Instagram stories, then I’m sure you’ve seen some of their practices or competition routines.

3) She always know how to laugh at herself, which is super important to know how to do when you do as many embarrassing things as we do!

4) When I was about six years old my mom came home from a business trip and realized she had forgotten a souvenir for me when I asked for it. So without hesitation, she pulled out a bottle of water from her carryon bag that I later learned she had gotten at the airport and she pretended that it was magic bottle of water that would make my hair super silky, soft and shiny. Being the gullible person that I still am, I actually believed her! That night she washed my hair with the magic bottle of water and let me tell you…when she dried my hair, I thought I looked like I had just walked straight out of shampoo commercial! This story is important because it shows that she taught me how to make the best out of every situation and and how to make do with what you are you given.

5) I like to mess with her about all the bad qualities that I picked up from her like her poor driving skills, her non-existent concept of time (she’s always late) and her awful sense of direction. However, I did inherit a few of her good qualities like her ability to make people laugh and to always look at the glass as if it’s half full. I also picked up her perseverance, optimism and compassion for others. She’s always trying to help others in need.

Bonus Fact: She is super excited to wear her new Rio Sandals on our trip to Italy and all over the Mediterranean this summer.

Bonus Fact 2: She is only 4’11 so she is even shorter than me and I’m 5 ft and 3/4 an inch!

Bonus Fact 3: She makes the absolute best chocolate-chip banana bread and chocolate chunk brownies!
