Halloween Candy Board Ideas
Hey everyone, I hope you’re all having a great week so far. I mentioned yesterday that I missed my flight to Dallas because you know…mom life! BUT I took advantage of the extra time and spent it with the kids and I also put together something fun for you all. nWith Spooky Season🎃 coming up, I thought it would be to create a fun Halloween Candy board to inspire your own festive treats for any parties that you might be hosting or attending. I ordered everything from Walmart and conveniently had it delivered to my house to make these adorable spider🕷& ghost 👻 cookies! This is such a fun activity for the kids to decorate! You don’t need to make an entire candy board to impress your guests though, you can just take a few of these sweet ideas to incorporate into your dessert!

Here is a list of all the candy we included on our Halloween Treat Board from Walmart:
Brach’s Halloween Classic Candy Corn Bag | Candy Corn is a must for a Halloween treats whether you like it or not. I actually don’t love Candy Corn, but I love how much color it brings to the board.
Wilton Edible Black and White Candy Eyeball Sprinkles | We used these for the eyes on the spider cookies
GHIRARDELLI White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers | We melted these white chocolate wafers to make the ghost cookies
Betty Crocker Black Cookie Decorating Icing | We used the icing to make the eyes on the ghosts and the legs on the spiders.
Nutter Butter Family Size Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies | These cookies are perfect making ghosts or mummies.
Flipz White Fudge Pretzels | I like to use white chocolate on the board to help break up all of the brown. I also suggest white Kit Kats too.
Chocolate Chip Cookies, Oreos & Fudge Stripe Cookies help fill large spaces on the Candy Board. Also, there are plenty of festive treats you can make with the extra cookies.
REESE’S, PIECES Peanut Butter Candies | These bring a lot of color to the board not to mention the fact of how delicious they are.
Reese’s, Miniatures Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups | Spread some dark icing on the wide part of the candy and then place them upside down on top of the the sugar cookies to make the spider cookies. The icing is meant to help them stick.
Twix | Twix is my favorite chocolate candy so I of course had to include it on my treat board.

Sugar Beach Babymoon Recap
Morning friends, I’m finally sharing a recap from our Babymoon at Sugar Beach Viceroy in St. Lucia. This was actually my second trip to St. Lucia, but my first time visiting this part of the island and it was absolutely stunning. I will never get over how beautiful Sugar Beach Resort is nestled right between the two pitons. We were also super lucky to have perfect weather during the entire trip with a few short rain showers here and there. They always ended with a rainbow so it was worth the rain.
Travel:
We traveled to St. Lucia from Louisiana, which wasn’t a super quick trip, but the best travel destinations take time. We scheduled a super early flight to still have some daylight once we arrived. We drove to the New Orleans airport at 4 am and flew 2 hours from MSY to MIA and then about 3.5 hours from Miami to St. Lucia. Upon landing, we of course had to go through customs and then we took and hour long taxi ride to the resort. This put us there for 5 pm in case you’re wondering so I highly recommend scheduling an early flight if you want to be able to enjoy some sun before it goes down.
We took a similar route home at the end of our trip except we scheduled our flight for the later in the day to give ourselves time for breakfast and the beach before heading out.
Covid Restrictions:
I feel like covid restrictions are constantly changing, but either way we felt super safe during both our travel to and from St. Lucia and our stay at Sugar Beach Viceroy.
Lodging:
We stayed in a beautiful Grand Luxury Villa with the most stunning view of the ocean and lush pitons. Our room also came with access to a 24/7 butler who assisted with reservations, room service, transportation and pretty much anything we needed. I could go on and on about the reasons why we loved our villa, but I think in the end it was a tie between the incredible views and the luxurious steam shower. Truly one of the best showers I’ve ever showered in. Our bed was also super comfy and I love the crisp white and clean decor. It made the room the room feels so relaxing and refreshing.
Next time I want to stay in one of the Luxury Beach Front Bungalows because they look insane. You literally get to stay right on beach so you walk out onto the sand.
Dining:
Since I was pregnant during this trip I couldn’t eat all the sushi I wanted to, but it looked so good. Fortunately, everything else was delicious especially breakfast. That was probably my favorite meal of the day because we had access to the buffet at The Terrace, which had everything as well as off the menu. The french toast was one of my favorites. For lunch, we always visited the Bayside Restaurant & Bar for casual beach food like sandwiches, pizzas, wraps and fries. When it came to dinner, we tried a few different options: room service, which was much needed on on our first night after a long day of travel, the Cane Bar for sushi (I only ate the cooked rolls, which were still good) and the JALOUSIE GRILL for a fun BBQ on the beach.
Disclosure: We only stayed three nights because it was our first trip out of the country away from Beck and I was about 24 weeks pregnant so I could only enjoy so many activities. We hope to stay much longer next time and check out the Great Room and even book a private dinner on the beach.
Activities:
As I mentioned, pregnancy really limits your activities, but Sugar Beach offers plenty of fun events and activities for both couples and the whole family like water sports, boating excursions, land tours, you name it. We really hope to visit the Sulphur Springs next time.
We spent most of our time on beach and the South Beach Pier Bar. That’s where the best views are and you can order snacks and drinks out there.
Spa & Fitness:
This category makes me chuckle because I had planned to hit the gym a couple times during our stay, but I honestly didn’t even have to because all of all the elevation throughout the property. I’m used to flat Louisiana so walking up and down the hills to our villa and the beach was a workout in itself. We of course used the transportation service when going far distances.
As for the spa, I’m not a big fan of prenatal massages because they’re just not as good as deep tissue massage so we opted out, but they have an absolutely beautiful spa and I will definitely book an appointment for our next trip.

Sizing:
Be sure to size down because Gibsonlook runs large. I sized up to the small while pregnant, but I usually wear the size XXS and it’s still comfortable and spacious enough to move around in. I designed the Jennifer Shirt Dress with a slight high-low hem so you can get that mini dress look in the front without worry about it being too short in the back when you bend over.

Haute Off The Rack x Gibsonlook Fall Collection
Hi friends!! Fall is coming in HAUTE! I can’t believe today is finally the official launch of my Fall 2021 Collection that I designed with Gibsonlook. It’s an 8 piece capsule collection filled with elevated basics like the padded shoulder tee and chic wardrobe staples like the trench duster jacket and ribbed duster cardigan. So much of my heart and energy went into designing these pieces with you at the forefront of our minds. We’ve been working diligently on this collection since March so I hope you love all of these pieces as much as we do! MY SIZING AND HEIGHT FOR REFERENCE:
Most people don’t realize how petite I am and I understand that knowing my sizes can help you determine what size to get.
I am 5 ft and I wear a size 27 in high waisted jeans and smalls in leggings. I’m currently a 34B and take size XS/S in dresses and tops, smalls in sports bras, and XS-S in outerwear.
Button Cardigan Duster with side Slits | If you want one of these duster cardigans, I highly suggest scoping yours up today because these will sell fast! This button front cardigan is a wardrobe staple and is such a versatile piece. You can wear it casually with jeans and loungewear or dress it up with heels and skirt or faux leather shorts.
Also, the buttons are functional so you can wear it as a dress too! Just be sure to size up if you want to wear as a dress
As for the design details, we created it with two side slits to give it plenty of movement and this ribbed fabric is so soft and cozy!
Sizing: I suggest going true to size or even sizing up one if you plan to wear it as a dress. I can absolutely fit in the XS, but I prefer the small or even the medium for a looser and flowy fit.

The Jennifer Henley with Drawcord Waist | These henley tees are soo comfortable and I love the fact that you can adjust the waist of the shirt with the hidden drawstring. The buttons are functional so they are nursing friendly. Perfect for lounging, everyday wear and even traveling. This will be my go-to outfit when it comes to picking up Beck for school.
Sizing: These henley tops run TTS. I am wearing the XS and fits with perfectly with plenty of room for comfort. You could size down one if you wanted, but I know most people like looser tops.

Jennifer Surplice Wrap Cinch Dress | This dress is so chic and sexy for a girls night, fancy date night or even a wedding guest dress. I designed it with an adjustable tie at the slit so you can make it higher or lower and a clasp at the bust that you can leave open or closed. I added the shoulder pads because I love how it gives your upper body a triangular shape, which gives you the illusion of a tinier waist and who doesn’t want the illusion of a smaller waist in a bodycon dress, right?!
Sizing: I highly recommend sizing down in this dress because it’s super stretchy and the ruched stomach helps conceal the belly area. I can wear both the XS and XXS, but I prefer the XXS because it holds the stomach area in better. Also, for my pregnant gals, this dress is super stretchy so it’s super bump friendly!

Jennifer High Low ribbed mock neck tank: I designed this tank with a split on the side and a high low hem to create the perfect mock neck tank to wear with high waisted leggings especially faux leather leggings! I don’t know about you, but I always feel so exposed in my faux leather leggings so I like to wear tops that cover my backside, but are still flattering to the legs. The split on the side really lengthens your legs and you can even wear it over skirts too. I also like to tuck the front in and leave the back out for a more dramatic effect.
Sizing: I suggest going to true to size in this top. I’m wearing the XS.
