New Years Holiday Card Idea
Hey everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend. If you follow me on Instagram, then I’m sure you saw me frolicking all over New Orleans with Blake in a 1920s costume. I mentioned there was a fun a collaboration in the works and I was referring to our New Years holiday card/Blake’s 30th birthday party invitation that I created with Walmart. My husband is a new year’s day baby and he turns 30 this January so I am throwing him a Great Gatsby themed birthday party to help him say farewell to his 20s and hello to 30! So naturally we’re partying 1920s style!

Since we’re smack dab in the middle of the holidays, I thought it would be a cute idea to incorporate the invitation into a holiday card. So we dressed up in our roaring 20s outfits and shot some photos in New Orleans for the holiday/invitation to get all of our guests excited for Great Gatsby costumes and to give them an idea of what to wear. I will do a separate post with full details on our costumes.

To create the holiday card invitation, I chose Walmart’s “Happy New Year Little Snowflakes” card layout and uploaded our photo plus additional text to call out Blake’s 30 birthday on the front of the card. Then on the back, I typed up a catchy rhyme and included all of the party details. Also, I couldn’t choose which photo I liked more so I ordered two different options and figured I could send out a mix of both. Tomorrow makes exactly one month until the party and I’m leaving town for the next two weeks so I chose the “same day linen” cards and picked them up from Walmart within about two hours after creating them online. The linen cards worked out perfectly since I was on a time crunch to get these printed before leaving town, but I also highly recommend choosing their premium card stock option and having them mailed to your house. I ordered those cards last year and they’re great quality plus it saves you the hassle of driving to the store. See here—> 2017 Custom Holiday Cards for Less

Walmart has so many cute holiday card options plus they offer same day pickup, which is super ideal when you’re trying to get your cards out quickly before it’s too late. This “Cheers” card is super cute for new years too!

My Framed Photo Gallery Walls
Happy Friday everyone, today I’m finally sharing the home decor post you’ve all been waiting for…my framed photo gallery walls. It’s been about 10 months since my wedding so I knew it was time to bite the bullet and print some wedding photos to display in my home. I had been putting it off because it’s so hard to decide which photos to choose and what the gallery wall will look like. Fortunately, Framebridge makes it super easy to select and envision your gallery wall. Their website allows you to choose a gallery style that fits with your space and then upload all of your high resolution photos to arrange them until you come to a look you love. Once you arrange your gallery wall, you can preview what the wall will look like before ordering. The Framebridge custom frames your photos and ships everything (including a life-size hanging guide!) to your door. Scroll through this post to see how!

I’ve created my own gallery style walls with Framebridge before in my old house, but this time I wanted a more formal look so I choose two of their standard layouts: the floor to ceiling grid for my entry way and “the line” gallery to hang above my bed. While I love the look of the full floor to ceiling grid, I needed three large frames in another part of my house so I decided to separate three photos from the gallery, but I think it still think it looks amazing.

I took a screenshot of my online process with Framebridge so you could see how I was able to easily arrange my photos into an order that flowed together and made me smile. Once I moved all of the photos around a couple times, I was able to “preview” what the gallery would look like. See screenshot below.

I moved the bottom three photos somewhere else in my home, which I will show you later in my home tour post in January.
How did we hang the photos so perfectly you ask? It was an even easier than you can imagine. Framebridge ships your professionally framed photos to you along with a hanging tool kit, which comes with everything you need minus the hammer and tape measurer. It comes with all the correct nails and pieces for each frame along with a paper grid that you can hang on your wall wherever you want to hang the gallery. Then you hammer all of the nails into the X marks and rip the paper down once you’re ready to hang. It was the easiest hanging process I’ve ever experienced, which I was super grateful for because it was stress free and very rewarding at the end.

My exact frames are from the floor to ceiling grid | You can find my bench available here!
The bedroom gallery wall was an even easier process because it was just a straight line , but we used still used the paper grid anyway to avoid making any of the photos too closer together or too far apart. Check out “The Line” gallery above my below.

Hey everyone, as promised I am sharing an initial update on my CoolSculpting results. I just scheduled my follow up appointment to take my standard “after” photos, but I can already see the results on the treated areas with my own eyes.

In case you missed my first post “My First Coolscupting Experience,” I mentioned that I received my first treatment at the Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology in New Orleans. I also explained that I did not choose to get CoolSculpting treatments because I don’t like my body. I love my body and only want to mold it into its best potential shape, which I’m sure is a feeling that most of you can relate to. You can read more about it here—>My First Coolsculpting Experience (OR) you can also check out the video on my IGTV.

Just to refresh your memory…CoolSculpting is a non-surgical, non-invasive, clinically proven treatment that reduces fat cells through FDA-cleared cooling technology. It’s a comfortable, fat freezing process with long-lasting results!
I treated my lower abdomen and both flanks, which most people refer to as a muffin top. I got four cycles: one on each flank (aka both of my love handles) and then two on my lower abdomen to cover the full area. As I mentioned before, I just want to mold my body into its best potential shape and I truly believe that CoolSculpting along with fitness and healthy eating has helped me achieve that. It takes about three months to see the full results and I already was seeing results on my trip to Paris. You can definitely tell a difference when I wear more form fitting clothes. Take this dress for example, you can see where my waist appears slimmer and less volume in the lower abdomen area.

I’ve gotten so many messages from you lately asking about the results and I will definitely share my standardized “after” photos on my Instagram after this next appointment. However, I’m sure that you can already see a difference in these photos of me in a bodycon dress that I wore in Paris. I am so pleased and impressed with the results and I can’t wait to see the side by side photos and share them with you.
Please let me know if you have any further questions about my experience and I will be sure to add my answers to this blog post. Also, let me know if there is anything you’d like me to ask the nurse during my next appointment.

Basically our goal is to not take on any extra unwanted weight during the holidays. To help prevent that from happening, I suggest picking at least three days a week to get some cardio in. Grab some new Adidas running shoes and activewear from Finish Line to get you feeling excited and motivated. I love wearing this Adidas Muscle Tank under jackets and vests. Finish Line carries all of the latest running shoe designs. I’m wearing the white PureBOOST GO Running Shoes in today’s post, but I also love the UltraBOOST 4.0 Running Shoes in Ash Pearl too. Oh and last season’s UltraBOOST Running Shoes are currently marked down in the Ash Pearl color! Be sure to check out all of Finish Line’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales later this week.

If you don’t have time for work out on Thanksgiving day, pack your tennis shoes with you and gather a couple of friends and or family members for an afternoon stroll to walk off some of that stuffing and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. I’m all about fully enjoying the holidays, but just don’t let it get the best of you. Just mix fitness and family time together by doing more physical and interactive activities like playing games and going on scavenger hunts etc…
