How To Wear Wide Leg Pants
Hey everyone, today I’m sharing how to wear wide leg pants for summer with Ann Taylor. When it comes to wide leg pants, waist lines are key especially if you’re petite like me. I like to pair mine with cropped tops or a shirt that will show off my wist line. If you want to go with a looser top, you can always add a belt. Don’t get me wrong, in some cases, loose flowy tops look great with wide leg pants, but that combo tends to swallow my petite frame so I like to stick with waist accentuating tops. As for shoes, a nude heel will always elongate your legs, but they also look great will mule slides and pointy toe booties in the fall.

If you’re hesitant but you want to slowly ease your way into the wide leg trend, I highly recommend going for a chic monochromatic look like I did in today’s blog post. It almost looks like a jumpsuit and gives off an effortlessly chic vibe.

For today’s look, I could have tucked in my sleeveless shirt and added a sleek brown belt, but since I didn’t have one, I decided to unbutton the bottom two buttons and tie the front to show off my waist. I styled my all white look with some flattering nude ankle strap heels and added a tiny pop of color with this skinny lemon scarf.

My Top Picks From Bloomingdale’s Wedding Registry
Hey everyone, if you’re anything like me, you’re still wishing you could relive your wedding festivities or go back to planning them. I secretly love the stress of planning events so I guess you could say I have the post wedding blues now that I don’t have anything to plan. However, I’ve found that one way to help get rid of my post wedding blues is by putting all of my wedding gifts to use like these gorgeous Michael Aram pieces. I especially love my gold and silver flatware because they help to tie in all of my different dinnerware pieces and decor. Plus they pair beautifully with my fine china. While I also love using my casual everyday pieces, I love setting the table with some fancy and intricate Michael Aram serveware and dishes like this Palm Gold Bread Plate.

My friends and I have recently decided to start a monthly supper club and I can’t wait to put all of these gorgeous pieces to use! Each month a different couple will host everyone at their house for dinner while another couple will be in charge of all the wine. Have you and your friends tried coordinating a supper club? If so, do you have any suggestions on how it works best or and fun traditions we should follow?

If you’re newly engaged, you’re in luck because all the fun has just begun! I know that putting together a wedding registry can be overwhelming, but the Bloomingdales Wedding Registry department is a great place to start because they offer the most beautiful selection of dinnerware and kitchen essentials. I highly recommend registering for some elegant and timeless pieces like these Michael Aram Molten Gold 5-Piece Place Settings. As I mentioned before, they pair beautifully with fine china, but they’re also great for everyday use too if you don’t want to register for two different sets of flatware.

My gold oyster paintings are by local Louisiana artist, Christina Fontenot.

Wedding Guest Book Idea
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I just wanted to share a little post wedding project that I’ve been working on with you. As most of you know, I incorporated some unique ideas into our wedding guest books so that our guests could really get creative and have fun with it! We wanted more than just signatures, we wanted memories! We wanted a book filled with our friends’ beautiful faces having fun at our wedding and custom little notes from each person. So we teamed up with FUJIFILM to allow our guests to take fun photos of themselves with Instax Mini 70 Instant Cameras at our reception and then tape them into out guest book and fill up an entire page with memories.

The Instax Mini 70 Instant Cameras are also fun to bring along the honeymoon to document your trip together! I also highly recommend them for bachelorette parties. I love being able to capture memories together that you can keep forever.

This was probably one of my favorite moments from our wedding day in Cabo.

We even provided our guests with Instax SHARE SP-2 Smartphone Printers to print photos from their iPhones to take some of their Cabo memories home with them. The Instax printers also came in handy as I was putting together my wedding scrapbook. It’s the perfect way to preserve your photos from your iPhone that rarely ever turn into hard copies that you keep forever.
They also serve as cute little personalized thank you cards to your friends. Print out a cute photo of the two of you from your wedding using the Instax SHARE SP-2 Smartphone Printer and write a little thank you on the bottom or just include the photo along with your hand written thank you card.

This is the exact guestbook we used from my GiGi New York #hauteoffthemarket Wedding Collection —>White Gold Guest Book

I also loved dancing to our song at the reception with all of these beautiful hanging lights in the background and a sign that said “You are the best thing!”

Summer Outfit Hacks with Ann Taylor
Hey everyone, I hope you all had a nice weekend. Today I’m sharing a fun Fourth of July outfit idea with Ann Taylor that is sure to keep you cool on this hot holiday. The temps have been in the high 90s down here in Louisiana lately, which makes it so hard to get dressed in the morning considering you don’t even want to put clothes. Unfortunately, no clothing is not an option so I’ve come up with a couple of cute outfit hacks to make getting dressed a little more enjoyable in this extreme heat!
1) The Scarf Top
My top favorite summer outfit hack is the “scarf top.” I love converting full, lightweight scarves into stylish cropped tops during the summer time. I found this floral embroidered scarf at Ann Taylor and it just so happens to be 40% OFF right now with code: MYSTERY

2) Bring on the shade!
One of best ways to protect your face from the sun other than SPF is with a stylish summer hat like this pom pom Fedora.

3) Make a “cool” statement in all white!
Did you know that white and light pastel colors actually dispel heat instead of absorbing it? So not only do white monochromatic outfits make you look effortlessly chic, but it also helps keep you cool too?
If you love all of these ideas, make sure to head over to Instagram for a chance to WIN a $1,000 shopping spree to Ann Taylor to spruce up your summer wardrobe!
