Favorite Floral Dresses

Happy Friday everyone, today I’m sharing one of my favorite floral dresses from the Shopbop sale: The Steffee Dress! I just how love fun and flirty the skirt part looks and   the floral print really pops against the deep navy! I also like how the 3/4 sleeves keep it modest and appropriate for more formal occasions like church or work events.

The Steffee Dress has to be my absolute favorite style dress by Yumi Kim right next to the Rush Hour Maxi, which is also available in this beautiful print! If you love this look as much as I do, I’m sure you’ll be happy to hear that right now you can take up to 25% OFF both dresses with code: GOBIG17 at Shopbop! Happy Shopping!

Good Morning everyone and Happy Weekend! Is this not the most stunning, rich, red Christmas Eve Dress you’ve ever seen? And I must say the winter white, faux fur coat adds the perfect finishing touch! To style the dress, I stacked on plenty of Julie Vos statement jewels and a simple pyrite stone necklace along with two different Gigi New York clutch options. However, even without all of the accessories, the dress alone is guaranteed to turn heads!

P.S. I’m 5 ft and I was able to get away with wearing dress without getting it hemmed first. Just wear tall heels!

Palm Beach Travel Review

Good Morning everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. Today I’m finally sharing my Palm Beach travel review from my recent girl’s trip to the Brazilian Court Hotel. First, let me start by saying that I have never visited a more beautiful and charming island than Palm Beach. It’s definitely not your average causal beach-town. I would consider it more of an exclusive, upscale island with perfectly manicured front lawns and beautiful blooms on every corner. It almost didn’t even seem real!

Where to sightsee:

When it comes to site seeing, if you’re one of the people who just likes to stroll around the local neighborhoods and beach area, you’re in luck because The Brazilian Court is located right in the middle of all of the beautiful homes on the Island and just a couple blocks away from the beach. Speaking go the beach, the hotel will arrange for beach chairs, towels and umbrellas to ensure that you everything you need

Also within walking distance from the hotel, you can find the famous Worth Avenue, which is the luxe spot to shop. However, even as much as I love shopping, I still have to say that my most favorite street is actually one street over from all the clothing stores. I’m referring to Peruvian St. where you’ll also find Major Alley covered in beautiful bougainvillea.

Where to Shop

As I mentioned earlier, Worth Avenue is the hot spot to shop for luxury fashion items, but if you’re looking for more everyday pieces from your favorite brands like Sam Edelman, Lululemon and Nordstrom, I suggest visiting The Gardens Mall. It’s only a 20 minute uber ride from the island where we were staying. Krystal and I made sure to stop on our way to the airport to get our fix before heading home. I was super impressed with the size of The Garden’s Mall and the amount of stores and restaurants it had to offer. However, I of course passed everything up and went straight to Chick-fil-A. I also popped into Lululemon to stock up on my favorite activewear pants.

Where to dine:

Ta-boo | The second we arrived to the hotel we marched a few blocks over to Ta-boo for fish tacos, nachos and fries! Talk about the ultimate welcome lunch! The restaurant is located right in the heart of Worth Avenue so you can hit the shops immediately after dining.

Café Boulud | Each morning we walked downstairs to breakfast at Cafe Boulud at the Brazilian Court Hotel to eat in the courtyard or we ordered room service and we were never disappointed. We especially loved their hash browns!

Pizza al Fresco | Allegra from Very Allegra introduced to Pizza al Fresco where I learned of the most delicious taco-inspired pizza called the Messicana. This is perfect place to dine outside because they have the cutest outdoor courtyard complete with café lights and umbrella covered tables.

Sant Ambroeus | On our second day, Beth from Palm Beach Lately was kind enough to take us to Sant Ambroeus for lite salads and sweets! You must try their flowerless chocolate cake with gelato. It’s also a great place to just sit and enjoy the colorful and happy atmosphere over coffee or cocktails with friends

Buccan | I think that Buccan was my favorite restaurant in PBI right next Imoto. Oh and it’s “literally” located right next to Imoto, but I’ll tell you about that place in a minute! I don’t know about you, but anytime I see fresh tuna on a menu, I order it. So we started off with the tuna crisps and squash blossoms and then followed that with some short rib empanadas. As much as we wanted to order more dishes, our appetites just wouldn’t allow it so we settled for some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and espresso!

Imoto  We ended our last night with a bang at Buccan’s sister restaurant, Imoto. To top it off, Stephanie from The Style Bungalow and her photographer Chelsae joined us for sushi, fried rice, tuna tatami and of course chocolate chip cookies. I think the fried rice appetizer was my favorite item on the menu! However, their sushi was amazing as well.

5 Reasons to Stay in the Over-The-Water Bungalows at Sandals Resorts!

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing the travel review you’ve all been waiting for: the over-the-water bungalows at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, which will be open to guests on May 15th. I was lucky enough to experience the bungalows prior to their grand opening so that I could give you a sneak peek of all the incredible details! If you follow along with my Instagram stories, then I’m sure you saw the full tour of our room. However, I got plenty of photos for those of you who missed it. Before I get into all of the photos and my resort wear outfit details, check out the top 5 reasons you should consider booking the over-the-water bungalows for your next special vacation. I will of course go more in depth about each reason throughout this post.

5 Reasons to Stay in the Over-The-Water Bungalows at Sandals Resorts:

  1. The expansive patio with an outdoor soaking tranquility tub & shower
  2. 24 hour elite butler service ensures guaranteed relaxation
  3. Over-the-water hammock and a suspended patio with swim-up platform
  4. Sea-through glass floors that guarantee undersea views
  5. Incredible views and an over-the-water experience unlike any other

My 3 personal favorite features of our bungalow:

1) The bathtub: There is nothing I appreciate more in a hotel room than a luxurious bathtub, but this one took luxe bathrooms to whole new level of glam.  The lavish, oversized tub sat on the back deck of our bungalow and overlooked the the ocean. Don’t worry, there are curtains draped around the tub for privacy. However, when there is no one around at night you can leave the curtains open and relax in a nice bubblebath beneath the stars overlooking the ocean. Trust me, it’s even more incredible than you could imagine. I soaked in the outdoor tub every night during our stay.

2) The clear glass floor window: Yes, you read that right! A window on the floor at the foot of our bed so that we were constantly reminded that we were indeed sleeping over the clear blue water in St. Lucia.

3) And last but not least, the most incredible view of the Caribbean! I’m sure that feature was obvious to you, but the overall experience of looking directly out to the ocean from your bed is unlike any other.

On top of those three things, we had the most bomb butlers who worked around the clock to make sure that each moment spent at Sandals Grande St. Lucian was special and unique to our friendship. Yes, I said friendship because my boyfriend was unable to come along so I brought Krystal from A Pinch of Lovely. This trip was actually my first time at  a Sandals resort and now I totally understand why so many people book with them. You literally don’t even have to lift a finger. The staff at Sandals is more than happy to do everything for you. I also love how their team always makes you feel so welcome to their island.

“A Weekend at Bernie’s”

One night, we came back to our room and found these hilarious towel versions of ourselves that our butler created. Zanias really outdid himself with this little masterpiece and Karen was equally was wonderful. This is just one of the examples of how they went above and beyond to make our stay special. The amazing customer service at Sandals Resorts is what truly made our vacation experience in St. Lucia one that we will never forget!

Your Questions Answered:

I invited you all to ask me anything you wanted to know about our over-the-water bungalow experience on Instagram so if you commented with a question, you can find answers below:

Do all the doors close and is there AC? Yes, all of the doors close and there is plenty of AC and a fan.

How of you get back and forth from the main area of the resort including pools, bars, restaurants, etc…? Great question because I was concerned about that too! The bungalows are actually very close to the main resort so you can easily walk back and forth from all of the pools, restaurants, bars and the spa to your over-the-water villa. The bungalows are still a more secluded spot, but still close enough for your convenience. Also, your 24/7 butler is happy to escort you anywhere at anytime in case you are unsure how to find the place the you are looking for. In fact, our butler insisted on escorting us to dinner every night as well as our spa appointment to ensure that we would make it on time.

When will they be open to guests? May 15th!

How was the food and how many restaurants did they have? I have a super sensitive stomach so I am extremely picky when it comes to meals while traveling. However, I found the food to be quite delicious and they are happy to cater to any food allergies or sensitiveness that you may have. Our two favorite places to dine were Soy and Kimonos, which serve sushi and hibachi and Gordon’s where we enjoyed a beautiful candlelit dinner on the pier. We only tried out four of the 12 restaurants because we had breakfast delivered to our room each morning and would frequent the same lunch spot.

Swimwear: Tularosa High-waisted bottoms  (also available in black) —wearing sz S | Striped Bikin Top | Tassel NecklaceRay-Ban Round Sunglasses

Were there any activities to do at the resort as well as nighttime events? Yes, there were daily pool parties and nighttime dance parties with live bands. As for physically actives, there are plenty of land water sports as well unlimited scuba diving and a 9-hole golf course. We also loved visiting the spa for moonlit massage on the pier over the water.

What was all included with your bungalow package? Full access to all 12 restaurants, 6 full-service bars, all 5 pools and whirlpools, elite butler service, unlimited premium spirits and Mondavi wines, unlimited land and water sports, unlimited scuba diving, free wi-fi in all rooms and public areas, free room service, unlimited snacks and free non-stop round-trip airport transfers. Spa services are extra.

The Bungalow features: a large patio with Sandals signature Tranquility Soaking Tub™ for two, an over-the-water hammock, outdoor shower and a suspended patio with swim-up platform, sea-through glass floors, a king-size bed, and a spacious, spa-style bathroom. The room also contains a kitchenette complete with a fully stocked fridge, coffee maker and wine cooler.

Was there Wi-fi available? Yes and it’s free too!

How long was the ride to the resort from the airport and what transportation did you use? The resort is about an hour and a half from the airport and Sandals offers complimentary transportation to their guests. In fact, they do all the planning for you! All you have to do is let them know your checkout date and they’ll take it from there.

How did you leave this beautiful place? I didn’t! I’m still here! I hid in the bathtub during checkout! Just kidding, but I will definitely be coming back with Blake and hopefully soon!
