Express Workwear Outfits For Home & The Office!
Good morning readers, in case you don’t know, today is my 26th birthday! However, today isn’t just about celebrating my birthday, it’s also about celebrating where I currently am in my life and reflecting on what I have accomplished over the past years. I’ve now been blogging for about 4.5 years and I’ve officially been blogging full time from home for about 2.5 years, which is huge for me! I never thought I would actually get to live my dream job from home while also traveling all over!
Speaking of working from home, sometimes I can get stuck in rut of just working in my pajamas all day without leaving the house, which can sometimes make me lazy and less productive. So my boyfriend suggested getting dressed for work each day to help promote productivity and professionalism for phone calls even if I’m just sitting at home. Nothing too formal! I just try an wear something comfortable, yet still presentable enough for meetings and acceptable for the office and that means your office too! I know I don’t actually work in an office where someone is holding me accountable for my everyday appearance and weekly deadlines so I have to do that myself and I have found that getting dressed in office appropriate clothing helps with this. Fortunately, I found plenty of affordable and work-appropriate pieces at Express that are still stylish for the me as a blogger and comfortable enough for sitting at home. As for you all, Express also offers appropriate pieces for stricter office dress codes too! They have a huge selection of dress pants, blouses, skirts and dresses.
In fact, I actually bought workwear outfits for my first ever job interview and internship back in college. I still remember it was the cutest mauve-colored pencil skirt with a sheer, black blouse and a thin leopard print hair calf belt with black pumps! It’s funny how even now after six years, I can still count on Express for workwear outfits!
However, I’m not gonna lie…I still sit in my pajamas or loungewear all day every once in a while, but Express actually has me covered in that department too! Haha! Their One Eleven Loungewear is Everything!

Year Round Beach Waves How To
Hi everyone, as we say goodbye to summer I thought I would share how I create year round beach waves in my hair with TRESemmé since it’s the best way to hold on to summer! Plus I get so many inquiries about how I curl my hair so I figured I would share all of my tips and tricks with you. I think you’ll be happy to learn that it’s super quick and easy. I listed all the steps below so you can try it out too and I’ll be rocking this hairstyle during most of New York Fashion Week so make sure follow along on social media.

Step 1: Rinse and Condition your hair with TRESemmé’s Botanique Nourish and Replenish Shampoo and Conditioner
Side Note: Beach waves do not require perfectly clean hair! You can wash your hair and then go a couple of days before using some dry shampoo and trying this style. In fact, I feel like my waves always hold better when my hair is a little dirty.

Step 2: Spray the Nourish & Replenish Hydrating Mist all throughout your hair and not just because it smells amazing like coconuts at the beach, but also because it helps to detangle and hydrate your locks. That’s another reason that the new TRESemmé BOTANIQUE Collection is so great because your hair can still smell like summer all year long.

Step 3: Dry your hair. I love my T3 Micro Dryer. After drying, add some grit and texture to your hair with or mousse. You can also use TRESemmé BOTANIQUE Damage Recovery Oil Elixir for weightless shine and texture that won’t leave your hair feeling greasy.

Step 4: Next, tease all the hair around the the crown of your head with a comb and Spray TRESemmé Thermal Creations Heat Protectant Spray throughout entire head to avoid damaging your hair with hot tools.

Step 5: Part your hair to your liking and use a 1.5” curling wand to create beach-wave-like-curls. I like using my T3 Trio Wand. The trick is to curl one small section at time leaving out about an inch to an inch and a half of hair left out at your ends. I usually take half inch sections of hair and hold for a little less then 10 seconds. Make sure to keep all of the curls facing the same direction around your head and do not brush or tug on them until the very end. This will allow the curls to set.

Step 6: Spray your entire head with hairspray to hold all of the curls and then after a few minutes, gently run your fingers through your hair pulling all of the curls into soft waves. Complete the hairstyle with plenty of Tres Two Extra Hold Hairspray.

Side Swept Braid How To
Hi everyone, as you all know, I recently attended Miami Swim Week this past July with the TRESemmé team where we showed you tons of amazing summer hairstyles. However, all of those stunning hairstyles were created by the talented TRESemmé team, but since I don’t have my own live-in hairstylist, I decided to attempt my own version of a side swept braid! I’m not gonna lie, it doesn’t look like it was done by the lead TRESemmé stylist, but it does look effortless and perfect to finish out the summer in. I listed the steps below so you can try it out for Labor Day Weekend coming up!

Step 3: Dry your hair. I love my T3 Micro Hair Dryer. After drying, add some grit and texture to your hair with mousse. You can also use TRESemmé BOTANIQUE Damage Recovery Oil Elixir for weightless shine and texture that won’t leave your hair feeling greasy.

Step 4: If you have short short hair like me, you may want to add in some hair extensions for length and thickness to create a larger and fuller braid. Be sure to do this before waving your hair. Since you’re putting your hair up, you don’t need to make perfect waves. Just take small sections and run your wand throughout your entire head. I recommend using a 1.5″ inch barrel. Don’t forget to use TRESemmé Thermal Creations Heat Protectant Spray to avoid damaging your hair with hot tools.

Step 5: Create a deep part at the crown of your head towards the side that you want the braid to be on. Then pull all of your hair in front of that shoulder leaving out a small section at the front of your face. Next, tease all the hair around the crown of your head with a comb.

Step 6: Braid your hair tightly and use a small hair tie to secure it. Then gently tug the braid apart with your fingers to make it looser and give it that perfectly-undone look. Start from the bottom and work your way to the top. Lastly, take the small section of hair in front that you left out of the braid and pull out even smaller sections of hair and bobby pin them back to the base of your braid. Leave some out and pull your wand through that section one more time. Complete the hairstyle with plenty of Tres Two Extra Hold Hairspray.
