Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a great weekend! I did a lot of organizing and planning over the weekend, but I did make time to enjoy dinner with friends on Friday! I actually wore this same dress to dinner! It’s the best dinner dress because it’s so loose on the stomach and hips!
If you can get your hands on this adorable drop waist dress at your local loft store or online, I highly recommend that you buy it. I guarantee that it will become your new favorite dress for fall. It’s one of those dresses that I wish I would have bought two of in the case that something happens to this one!

Good Morning readers, I’m so excited to announce that I have partnered up with the Emeril Lagasse Foundation to give away two tickets to their Boudin, Bourbon & Beer Festival at Champions Square in New Orleans on November 7th, 2014. The festival is co-chaired Emeril Lagasse and Donald Link and not only will the event be held in a much bigger space this year, but it will also mark the foundation’s 4th Annual Boudin, Bourbon & Beer festival.
Champions Square will host 50 of the country’s best chefs who will be cooking up their best boudin dishes. Funds raised at the event benefit Emeril Lagasse Foundation, which supports children’s educational programs, life skills development initiatives, culinary training, and cultural enrichment.
To show you what you can look forward to at the Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s Boudin, Bourbon & Beer Festival, Kaela (my photographer) and I payed Emeril’s restaurant in New Orleans a little visit where I got to experience just a taste of the festival. I started off with an Autumn Pomme garnished with an apple and a hint of Buffalo Trace. Next, I enjoyed a refreshing Abita Amber. Then I finished off with a classic Manhattan and a traditional Old Fashion! Don’t worry, I didn’t drink each entire cocktail! I’m saving that kind of fun for the real festival!
Event Attire: Cajun Cocktail (aka dresses paired with boots)
For more info on the festival, visit boudinbourbonandbeer.com. Check back tomorrow to see how else I styled this little floral dress for the BBB Festival!

Kendra Scott Grand Opening Party on Perkins Rowe

Hello readers, I hope you’re all having a great week so far. Sorry I’ve been a little MIA the past few days! Things have been super crazy over here, but in a good way. I can’t believe that it’s already October! September was like a whirlwind for me with New York Fashion Week, my birthday trip to the beach and then my shopping event and fashion show with Saks in New Orleans. On top of that, the Kendra Scott store on Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge hosted a grand opening party to welcome Kendra Scott, herself to Louisiana. I was lucky enough to sit and talk with her during the party. She is such an amazingly talented woman and even more so humble. I am not exaggerating when I say that Kendra made sure to visit with every single person that walked through the door as if she was so excited to have each individual person there. I found her kindness and enthusiasm so refreshing. Just like her jewelry, Kendra Scott is truly beautiful in every way!
Also, I have to mention that I am so proud of my friends Ashley Sievert and Courtney Johnson who had the honor of styling Kendra’s hair and makeup for the party. Remember when they gave me a summer makeover here–> Haute Summer Makeover Part I & Haute Summer Makeover Part II We of course can’t forget to mention my photographer, Kaela Rodehorst Willams was chosen to shoot the Kendra Scott event! I’m sure we can agree that all three of these talented ladies did an amazing job! Last but not least, congrats to the Baton Rouge Kendra Scott Event Coordinator, Abby Joyce on throwing a fantastic party! I enjoyed everything from the delicious treats and refreshing cocktails to the fun photo booth and Mardi Gras decorations.
P.S. Thank you to all of my readers who came and introduced yourselves to me at both the Kendra Scott and Saks event. You have no idea how much I appreciate your readership and support.

Hey everyone, here is my second post of the day because I’m trying to fire out all of these New York Fashion Week posts before they become old news. These photos are from the rewardStyle Rooftop party at the Empire Hotel where all of the rS affiliated bloggers and brands celebrated fashion week together over cocktails and an amazing view of the Lincoln Center. The rewardStyle team never disappoints! The drinks were cool and refreshing thanks to Kendra Scott and the cake balls were on point at the Piperlime booth!
As for the clothing, I especially loved stopping to visit with the Ann Taylor girls since I was one of the 10 bloggers chosen to represent the brand at the party. However, they didn’t have to ask me twice if I wanted to wear Ann Taylor to the party after viewing their amazing new fall collection. Seriously though, if you haven’t checked out Ann Taylor’s most recent collection, I highly recommend that you head over there for chic trench vests, cozy sweaters and edgy moto-style jackets. I can’t wait to style all of my new Ann Taylor pieces on Haute Off The Rack! Shop my picks below!
