LuLu and Georgia: Kenza Gold Moroccan Pouf | Acrylic Sheepskin | You & Me Door Mat <–Use code HAUTE20 for 20% OFF your entire LuLu & Georgia purchase

Good Morning readers, I hope you’re all bundled up in blanket scarves and warm jackets today because it is absolutely freezing out there! All I want to do today is stay curled up in bed in my pajama pants, fuzzy socks and leopard slippers with hot chocolate in hand! Unfortunately, there are errands that need to be ran and a body pump class that must be taken! Speaking of home though, I recently teamed up with LuLu & Georgia to give my house a snazy little update for the holidays with this gold Moroccan pouf, acrylic sheepskin and adorable “You & Me” door mat. I took snap shots over the weekend of how I use my pouf as an ottoman and footrest and the acrylic sheepskin as a rug. You can also use the sheepskin as a chair cover. I’ll you how in my next home decor post. Also, I just had to show you cute the “You & Me” door mat looks sitting outside my house. It makes me smile every time I come home.  Good News! You can now give your home a little decorative boost with 20% OFF your entire purchase at LuLu & Georgia with code: HAUTE20 (code will expire on Sunday, November 23rd)

You’ll have to comment and tell me what cute home decor pieces you scoop up with the promo code. I plan on getting a few more things for myself as well and maybe even a few more of these door mats to give as house warming or engagement gifts this season!

Thank you to LuLu & Georgia for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Good Morning readers and Happy Friday!  I’m so excited to announce that I will be hosting a fun Halloween event with MZ Wallace Handbags at Emma’s Shoes in Metairie, LA next Thursday, October 30th from 2-4 pm! Can’t wait to see you all there!

The Large Metro Tote: The large metro tote feels weightless no matter how much you cram inside and it comes with 3 pouches and a few interior pockets inside for easy organization! It’s the perfect carry-on bag when traveling because it’s durable, weather proof and it doesn’t weigh your shoulder down. On top of that, there is always extra room to fit a few more things inside if your suitcase is over the weight limit and if you’re anything like me, you’re gonna need that extra space to avoid paying the extra fee! I have over-packing issues!

The Marlena Backpack: So I’ve been obsessing over backpacks for a while now, but after using the Marlena I’m now on a whole new level of backpack obsession! I just love its chic and sporty vibe plus all of the pockets and compartments make it convenient for traveling as well as everyday use!

The Chrissie Tote: I originally chose the Chrissie tote because I knew it would fit my laptop which I practically bring with me everywhere, but it turned out to be far more than just a laptop bag! With all the extra room I can fit my work out clothes because I work out all the time, right? Just kidding, but who knows! Now that I can fit my workout clothes I just might start working out more!! Anyway, like most MZ Wallace bags it comes well equipped with plenty of pockets and compartments, but what I really love about the Chrissie is the extra long satchel strap for carrying on your shoulder as well as it’s sleek and sophisticated style. If the Chrissie is too large for your everyday needs, but you love the style… you’re in luck because they make a smaller version called the Andie!

Jars by Dani: You will receive a delicious Jar by Dani with your MZ Wallace purchase! All the more reason to indulge yourself in a little shopping and some Halloween treats! Right?

Event Details: MZ Wallace Handbag Trunk Show on Thursday, October 30th at Emma’s Shoes | 110 Rosa Ave., Metairie, LA | Phone: (504) 407- 0668 | Receive #JarsbyDani with purchase!

Good afternoon readers, just one more day until Friday Whoo Hoo! For today’s post, I recently partnered up with Lilly Pulitzer to show you some of the pieces from their Cuban Cocktails collection. These dresses are adorable and perfect for the those out-of-the-office work events where you want to dress cute and snazzy, but still need to look tasteful and modest in front of your boss and co-workers. With the holidays right around the corner, now isn’t a bad time to starting adding sophisticated dressy pieces like these to your closet. That way you’ll be prepared for at least some of your holiday events.

While both of these dresses look and feel great on, I find myself gravitating more towards the navy dress because I love the little cutout detail on the back and I love a classic shade of navy. This is a dress that you can pull out for various special occasions all year long. It fits like a glove and pairs well with shoes from every season. I know because I tried the dress on with almost every pair of shoes in my closet when I put it on for the first time. It looks great with red pumps, gold sandals, black booties, over the knee boots, flat sandals, you name it!

For sizing, both dresses fit true to size and I didn’t have to either of them hemmed which is rare considering that I’m only 5 ft tall! I got the size 2 in both dresses if that helps!

P.S. Look out for my special “Style Seen” feature on Lily Pulitzer’s blog, The Juice Stand!

“Luxury to me is not about buying expensive things; it’s about living in a way where you appreciate things.” – Oscar De La Renta

Good Morning readers, after the fashion world’s recent loss of Oscar De La Renta, the quote above really stuck out to me.  So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite things with you this morning that I consider luxuries. To me, it’s really the little things in life like being able to enjoy coffee in the morning and desert after dinner or even in the middle of the day! It’s about getting to wear my fuzzy socks and robe while working from home, having lunch with my best friend and not having to worry that I need to be back at work at a certain time. Luxury is getting to enjoy the things you love to do without the stress and worry that there is something else you should be doing and it’s about appreciating the time you have to soak it up. Time is luxury!  Don’t get me wrong, I also find nice handbags, weekend trips to the beach and weeklong stays in Europe luxuries too, but again it’s still about the time you have to enjoy those things.  I hope I explained how I feel correctly and didn’t come off as ignorant by saying any of that. All I’m trying to say is that to me, luxury is the time being able to do what I love whether that means playing with my little fairy-god-child and best friend, drinking coffee and desert outside with my boyfriend, a weekend at the beach or even just blogging in my pajamas and fuzzy socks. I value all of that more than anything.
