Hair & Makeup by: Courtney Johnson and Ashley Sievert

Good Morning readers, I hope you’re all having a great week so far! What do you think of Part I of my “Haute Summer Makeover” by Courtney Johnson and Ashley Sievert?  Want to know how they did it? Follow their how-to steps below!

Courtney’s Hair How-To:  In order to acheive these soft waves in Jenn’s hair, I used a 1 1/4 inch curling iron.  I sprayed all of her hair with Moroccan Oil moveable hold and then brushed the hair through in order to make the hair smooth before curling. I used the 1 1/4 inch curling iron to curl her hair starting from the midshaft. With each turn, I would scoot it a little closer toward the ends of her hair to evenly distribute the heat of the curling iron to the hair. This technique helps to prevent damage to your ends caused by curling your hair from the ends up. Once I finished with the curls, I back combed (teased) her entire head to get a lot of volume and then gently combed through until I achieved the volume we wanted. Lastly, using two bobby pins, I lightly twisted one side of her hair to give it a little texture horizontally. I placed one bobby pin to hold the twist then crossed another bobby pin diagonally over the other to secure the Twist in place. | You can schedule an appointment with Courtney Johnson at Rigsby Frederick Salon in Baton Rouge, La. Ashley’s Makeup How-To:  First, I dusted a nude shimmer eye shadow and then lightly filled in the brows. Next, I added a thick liquid eyeliner and applied individual lashes to her lids. Then I rubbed the signature ASB 3 step face makeup- mineral velvet creme onto her bare face and followed with the finishing powder in LA.  Next, I padded on the ASB Glow congealer under her eyes to brighten up her whole face. I finished her off with bronzer, blush and a nude lip to give her that natural and effortless summer glow. | You can shop Ashley’s own line of makeup here–> Ashley Sievert Beauty
