Sundresses For Summer Travels

Hi everyone, as you know I have officially returned home from my recent travels to Europe so I will be sharing all of the photos from our trip on the blog over the next few weeks. Yesterday I shared all about my experience in Croatia and today I’m sharing one of my favorite places that we visited in Italy: Cinque Terre.  I will be doing a full travel review of Cinque Terre, but today’s post is about sundresses for your upcoming summer vacations. I’m sure you saw on Instagram that I pretty much wore dresses my entire trip in Europe. So today I partnered with Nordstrom to help you find the perfect dresses to complement your beautiful summer travels.

I’m a huge fan of rocking printed maxi dresses on vacations because they rarely require any styling. I especially love this one by Tularosa from Nordstrom because it doesn’t wrinkle and the off the shoulder style is very on trend.  For size reference, I’m wearing the XS.

Packing Tip: If I could pack all over again, I would have made sure to hem all of my maxi dresses so that I could wear them with flat sandals as opposed to wedges.

Another favorite thing of mine to pack is: the classic white dress! With sun-kissed skin and touseled, carefree waves, you’re bound to look amazing in almost any white dress so I usually pack a few because they always look so good in the summer. I especially love this lace crochet one that I bought from Nordstrom.

Packing Tip: Make sure to keep your white pieces wrapped in plastic bags in your suitcase to protect them from any water damage if your bags get caught in the rain or if anything spills out of your toiletry bag. White clothing is always so hard to salvage after toiletry accidents.

Site Seeing in Croatia with Sole Society

Hey everyone! If you follow me on Instagram (@hauteofftherack), then you know that I just returned from Italy, Greece and Croatia this past week. I still have Croatia fresh in my mind so I thought I would share photos from that portion of my trip first!

This was my first time to Croatia and since we were traveling there by cruise ship, we had very limited time to explore so we figured the best way to see the city was by climbing the stairs and walking the walls. The views were incredible from up top. Scroll through this post to see how I styled my newest round handbag and wedges from Sole Society along with all the beautiful sites of Croatia.

I have to say that I wasn’t too keen on the round handbag trend when it first “rolled” out. However, I’m always up for a trend challenge and I thought maybe it could help “round” out my summer style. To my surprise, I loved it the minute it arrived. I always love trying out new trends from Sole Society because their pieces are always so affordable yet still great quality.

All of the old architecture in Croatia is so beautiful. We probably stopped every other building to take a photo in front the steps. The alleyways and cafes were darling as well. We arrived to the city early in the morning so we decided to dine at a little outdoor cafe and I ordered the most delicious iced coffee I’ve ever tried. There was even ice-cream in it and it complemented the fresh croissants and jam perfectly.

While we walked the walls, we noticed there quite a few people doing water activities like kayaking and paddle boarding as well fishing and boating. If we would have had more time, I think we would have enjoyed kayaking around the beautiful cliffs and rocks.

Fun Fact: They film a ton of scenes from Game of Thrones in Croatia. We actually found ourselves walking through King’s Landing.

My Top Summer Pieces From Ann Taylor

Ciao everyone! I’m currently writing this blog post from our villa in Tuscany, Italy, which is actually where I shot today’s outfit from Ann Taylor. It’s so beautiful here. I just can’t get enough of all the wine and sunshine in the hills, which pair perfectly together with my new summer pieces from Ann Taylor like these printed shorts and metallic slides. I packed a couple pairs of these these high-waisted shorts to wear with tanks and tees here on causal days along with these exact sandals in hot pink too. If you love the print of my shorts, you’ll be happy to know that it also comes in a skirt version and a one shoulder top version as well.

To answer some of your questions about our villa (pictured below) that you’ve all been asking me on Instagram, don’t you worry! I will be sharing a link to our exact villa as soon as we check out due to safety reasons!

Fairmont Mayakoba Travel Review

Good Morning everyone, today I’m sharing my Fairmont Mayakoba travel review from my recent trip to Maya Riviera, Mexico. Scroll through this post to see all of my resort wear outfits, favorite restarts on the property and Mexico packing tips.

Outfit: Ripped Shorts | Studded Sandals | Babydoll Tank | Pom Tassel Drop Earrings | Carry On Suitcase & Rolling Briefcase c/o Sakroots | Round Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Upon arriving to the resort, we were greeted with cold hand towels, a tour of the property and one of the Fairmont Mayakoba’s signature cocktails. I couldn’t get over how huge the resort is. Our room was within walking distance from the main pool, a couple of restaurants and the main lobby, but I was super grateful for all of complimentary golf cart rides to and from the beach. We also had the option to rent bikes to explore the resort.

Packing Tips:

  1. Bring plenty of SPF and mosquito repellent spray! I also suggest a sun hat for extra protection from the sun.
  2. Lightweight clothes and sleeveless tops are key to surviving the heat in the Maya Riviera because it is beyond hot and humid there!
  3. The resort is huge and even though they offer complimentary golf cart rides to and from the beach, restaurants, the spa and your room, I recommend packing some comfortable walking shoes so you can explore the area yourself.

The resort is not all-inclusive, but it does have seven delicious restaurant options for you to enjoy and create a meal package prior to your stay. The Fairmont Mayakoba also offers in-room dining. We loved all of the restaurants because most of them offered fresh guacamole and warm fries, but keep reading to hear more about my favorite one.

This resort has plenty of pools, which is so nice because you never have to worry about an overly-crowded pool.

We kicked off our first full day with with breakfast at La Laguna followed by a boat tour along the Maya Riviera and nice long massage at the Willow Stream Spa.

We loved eating lunch on the beach at Las Brisas everyday! Their guacamole and lobster tacos are amazing! I also loved their chopped salad!

During our stay we got to visit the Fairmont Mayakoba town followed by a mezcal and craft beer tasting and food pairing. Las Brisas did a fabulous job with the food pairing. We loved everything especially the seafood risotto.

The infinity pool by the beach was my absolute favorite hangout spot at the resort because you get to enjoy the breeze and the view of the beach without having to actually walk on the beach. Plus that’s where they keep all the best snacks and drinks.

My absolute favorite restaurant at the Fairmont Mayakoba is El Puerto, which serves up Latin-Asian dishes in a social and lively setting with a menu of dim sum, antojitos, sushi and seasonal ceviches. I especially love the Black Cod, Shrimp Fried Rice, Angry Tuna Roll, Vegitariano Roll and the Charred Tuna Won Ton tacos.

The best part of the trip was getting to spend time with all of my blogger friends. I even made some new friends too.
