Hi everyone, I realize that we are still in the dead of the summer. However, it’s never too early to start keeping your eyes for transitional clothing, shoes and accessories that you can easily wear now and later into fall like these perforated peep toe booties I styled in today’s post. I wore this outfit while I was in Houston this past weekend, but the jeans were a bit hot so I suggest pairing these booties with cutoff shorts or mini dresses right for now especially if you live down south like me. I found my exact pair or perforated peep toe booties at Sole Society, but if you’re not into the perforated look, not to worry because they offer tons of other styles.

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I’m kicking off the week by sharing two ways to style pants in the summer with Ann Taylor. I’m sure you might be thinking that pants are a definite no during the summer especially if you live in the south. However, I think these chic lightweight pants from Ann Taylor are sure to change your mind as long as you style them properly for the weather. When was the last time you took a fun colorful scarf and wore it as top? For me, the answer is… never! I came up with the idea while I was struggling to think of the perfect top to maintain the chic and trendy vibe of the pants. I knew I wanted to pair it with something colorful and fitted, but nothing was coming to mind. Then it suddenly dawned on me…why not try and create my own cropped top. So I grabbed the scarf hanging up in my dressing room at Ann Taylor and tied around back and voila! The most epic summer top was born!

For this look, I went super casual by styling my jogger pants with flat metallic slides. However, I made sure to maintain the chic and edgy vibe of the pants by adding an open shoulder top with ruffle details.

Hi everyone, today I’m heading to Houston for a girl’s trip at the Four Season’s Hotel and coincidentally Blake is in Houston for work too. The chance of us ending up in the same city while traveling separately for work is second to none so we’re excited to meet up for a date night in between work and meetings. Also, it’s kind of crazy that Houston is so close to Louisiana, but I haven’t visited there since I was a kid so I’m excited to experience the city as an adult. Plus I can’t wait to indulge myself at the Four Season’s Spa.

As for my travel outfit, I’m sure you noticed that I’m using some chic new Mark & Graham travel bags, which I’m in love with. The tan and white comb is to die for.
