Good Morning readers, what do you think of Jazz Fest look #2?  As you can see I’m a huge fan of fringe and Jazz Fest is the perfect excuse to dust off all of your fringe clothing and accessories. For this look, I used my highlighter studded bag to pull out the bright orange color in the tee and the color of my nails.  Speaking of my nails, I’ve been getting a lot of inquires about the color, but I actually have no idea what the color is called.  However, I do know that Tart Deco by Essie is very similar to this neon hue and I definitely recommend adding it to your collection of summer polishes.

Also, if you really like this fringe top and you don’t like the one similar that I shared above,  you should try making one yourself with just a plain scoop neck tee from Walmart and some bright colored paint.  Just snip the ends of the tee to create the fringe and voilà! You’ve made your very own Jazz Fest top!  Plus you won’t have to worry about running in to anyone with the same outfit!

Good Morning readers, are you ready for Jazz Fest this Friday?  If not, you will be after these next few posts on Haute Off The Rack featuring NOLA Jazz Fest-inspired looks. For this outfit, I paired my Mumu Pocahontas fringe top with my Levi’s denim vest and DL1961 cutoffs.  Next, I accessorized with some gold beaded earrings, my turquoise shark tooth necklace and plenty of wrist candy including my Camps Bay Stones wrap watch courtesy of La Mer Collections.  Then I finished off the look with a neon studded handbag and pair of shades.  For shoes, I of course chose flat lace-up sandals since Jazz Fest tends to keep you on your feet all day. Make sure to check back tomorrow for some Jazz Fest Inspiration!

Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a great weekend.  I apologize for my lack of posts lately, but this last week and a half has been super hectic for me with the work, the Doves of a Feather necklace and the Reward Style Conference in Dallas. (Follow me on Instagram @HauteOffTheRack for photos from the conference).  However, I am back and in full swing!  I have so many amazing collaborations coming to Haute Off The Rack soon including C. Wonder, Kendra Scott, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Elaine Turner Designs and more!  Let’s just say it’s going to be a great summer.  As for the outfit, what do you think of my coat of many colors?  This is what I wore to Day 1 of the Reward Style conference in Dallas this past week.  It was actually a last minute decision before I walked out the door, but it ended up being a boho chic hit!  I got so many compliments on my colorful Tart Collections Wrap and Krystal Knot necklace by Dotted Tusk.  One person even told me that my outfit look very Rachel Zoe-inspired, which is the ultimate compliment in the fashion world. I met some incredible people at the conference including my all time favorite blogger Wendy Nguyen from Wendy’s Lookbook.  She was just as wonderful in real life as I had imagined her!  I even met some new bloggers to follow and got to discuss some style collaboration ideas with them.

Good Morning readers, I’m so thrilled to finally share this post with you!  Remember when I first told you about the Doves of a Feather necklace?  In case you didn’t, I basically designed this necklace with Dotted Tusk in honor of the graduating seniors of St. Scholastica Academy as a graduation present to my sister.  I originally had the necklace made for solely my sister and her friends, but then I realized I wanted to extend the offer to everyone. I really want these feather charms to serve as a reminder of the sisterhood they shared with each other at SSA.  They may not realize it now, but years later they’ll find themselves longing for those picnic tables and worry free lives.  These SSA girls were such a pleasure to work with! They’re are all so beautiful and full of life.  I wish them each the very best, but I have no doubt that the class of 2013 will lead wonderful lives and accomplish great things.

The necklace is available for purchase under my under my Haute Looks page here–> Doves of a Feather necklace This necklace was designed in honor of the graduating seniors of SSA.  However, it is not limited to just SSA seniors.  This necklace is perfect to give as a graduation gift as well as gifts to current SSA students, newcomers to SSA, SSA alums and anyone who would enjoy a simple gold feather necklace.

***You can also pay with cash or check. Please contact me at  (985) 789-4741 or email me at Jenn.hauteofftherack@gmail.com if you have any further questions. Thank you!***

I aslo want to a few lyrics from the song “For Good”  from Wicked that my best friend and I sang together at the SSA farewell assembly when we graduated.  I think that all of you graduating seniors will find that you can relate to these words.

For Good

(Glinda) I’ve heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don’t know if I believe that’s true
But I know I’m who I am today
Because I knew you

(Elphaba) It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You’ll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend…

Because I knew
(Both) I have been changed for good
