Behind the Scenes of Mignon Faget
Good Morning readers, if you keep up with me on Instagram then you know that I had the pleasure of touring the Mignon Faget headquarters in New Orleans, Louisiana this past Tuesday. I got to meet the entire staff, see new and upcoming pieces and even watch jewelry production. I also learned that 95% of Mignon Faget jewelry is made here in the US and each peice is finished and put together right here in New Orleans at the headquarters on Magazine St. Needless to say, it was such a great experience and I can’t wait to style some Mignon jewelry on Haute Off The Rack.

Mignon Faget jewelry is made locally in New Orleans on magazine street. 95% of her jewelry is made in the US.
Mignon Faget keeps inspirational finds on display in her office at the headquarters.
I got to choose a few pieces of jewelry to feature on Haute Off The Rack at the Mignon Faget flagship store including the Oyster Cocktail Ring that I’m wearing in this photo.
It was so hard to only choose a few pieces because they were all so beautiful and exquisite.

Good Morning readers, I’m so honored and excited because this look along with a few other looks of mine was featured in the La Mer Collections 2 Bloggers to Watch May email blast. I had originally planned this outfit for Jazz Fest, but I had to save it until after the La Mer Collections feature. However, this is still a great summer look and can definitely be worn to other music festivals this season.
Also, just a side note on these shorts…if you’ve been searching for the perfect pair of white cutoffs, these are them! The DL1961 Lola short is super comfortable with its 360 stretch and it is just long enough to still wear around the family.

Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a great weekend and Mother’s Day! I had an excellent weekend thanks to everyone who came out to the Haute Off The Rack and Candy Apple Popup Shop at Studio 311 Salon. The event was a great success and we really appreciated your business. I can’t wait to host another one!
For those of you who missed the popup, the Crystal Knot necklace by Dotted Tusk that I’m wearing in today’s post is actually one of the pieces that we gave away at the end of the popup shop. We also gave away a turquoise statement necklace from Candy Apple. Fortunately for those who couldn’t make it, we still have one more giveaway coming up from Candy Apple:: a blog shop so stay tuned for details.
About this outfit, I was shooting for a dressy-casual look with these denim mint shorts and so I decided to pair them with some matching mint wedges and a blowzy white top. Then I accessorized with my fancy Crystal Knot necklace, a few pastel-colored bracelets and my white Rebecca Minkoff-inspired bag from Candy Apple. I think this look could easily transition from day to night. What are your thoughts? How do you dress up your colored denim while still keeping it simple?

Modern Vintage Jewelry for Mother’s Day!

Jewelry Designer, Lisa Ramirez Cortese travels nationwide searching for the most rare vintage cameos, stones and pendants and uses them to create lavish pieces of jewelry at her own home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She also receives exclusive vintage items from places all over the world like most recently Israel, Argentina, France and Great Britain to create her beautiful modern works of art. I’m not going to spill too much information about Lisa though because I have a little surprise for you soon on Haute Off The Rack featuring an interview with the deisgner herself! However, I will tell you that she will be selling special Mother’s Day jewelry tonight at Victoria’s Toy Station from 6 to 8 pm on 5466 Government St. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
