Outfit: Garbe Luxe Moto Leggings via The Mix | Joie Booties | Twill Jacket c/o H&M | Hayden Satchel c/o Gigi New York | ASOS Leather baseball cap (borrowed from Abbey) |
Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I had a great time covering Shop Your City Day in New Orleans with Krystal from A Pinch Of Lovely and hanging out with all of the guest bloggers in town for NOLA Fashion Week. I’ll post a recap of the weekend later this week.
Now, about this bag…I’m sure that by now you know that the Hayden Satchel is my “it” bag for the season. I even featured it on my WBRZ News segment this month, which you can view here–> Haute Off The Rack’s Fall Five. Everything about this bag is perfect from its emerald green color and rich textured embossed leather to its roomy size and convenient cross-body strap. Even though it’s still super hot here in Louisiana, Abbey of District Dress Up and I wanted to give you a fall preview of how to style these gorgeous emerald green Gigi New York bags for everyday wear.
I styled my bag with a pair of olive green moto leggings, a cream J. Crew top and a twill jacket from H&M. For shoes and accessories, I wore some taupe suede ankle booties to brighten up the look and a black leather baseball cap for a hint of edge.
Head over to District Dress Up to see more on how she styled her Gigi bag!

Ashley Sievert Beauty Event Recap

Photos by: Kaela Rodehorst Williams & Me!
Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a great start to your week! Today, I’m doing a recap on last week’s Ashley Sievert Beauty event that I co-hosted with Krystal Bennett at Posh boutique in Baton Rouge. The event was a great success and I even got to be behind the lens while my photographer, Kaela Rodehorst Williams took the “haute” seat!
For Kaela’s makeup, Ashley started by covering Kaela’s entire eyelids with Ashley Sievert concealer. Then, she brushed on some neutral brown and gold eyeshadows and rimmed the inside of her bottom lids with Rock Chic black eyeliner. To finish off the eyes, she added some mascara to her lashes and took a taupe brow pencil to fill in Kaela’s brows to give them a nice full look. Next, Ashley applied her own Ashley Sievert New York foundation and powder to just one side of Kaela’s face to show her the comparison (see photo above) between her natural skin and her enhanced skin. You could immediately see how it concealed her rosacea and how it gave her face a beautiful velvet-like touch. Once Ashley finished applying the foundation to Kaela’s face, she brushed some shimmery bronzer in a figure E and 3 on both sides of her face starting from the forehead all the way down to her chin. The bronzer is what helps create that stunning contour to your cheek bones and it also gives your face a glimmering glow. Following the bronzer, Ashley told Kaela to make a fish-like face while she applied a pink and peach blush to her cheek bones and a Rose Smacker lip stain to her lips. Then, for the finishing touches she smoothed on extreme red lipstick and dabbed a generous amount of concealer beneath her eyes and continued along the sides of her eyeshadow to make her eyes really pop.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the event for a makeup application or complimentary foundation match! We appreciate your business and support. Also, a huge thanks goes out to Posh boutique for allowing us to host the event at their store and of course thank you to Ashley Sievert for coming out to help the women of Baton Rouge learn how to enhance their beauty! I feel like I’m a makeup pro now after watching so many makeovers that day. You all looked gorgeous!
You can purchase any of these beauty products at www.ashleysievert.com! Also follow her on Facebook (here)!
**P.S. Make sure to watch WBRZ News channel 2 at 4 pm today to catch the Haute Off The Rack Fall Five! I’ll be talking about shoes and handbags for Fall!**
