Good Morning readers, what do you think of all the textures I’ve got going on here? We’ve got suede, calf hair, leather, embossed leather, fringe, flannel… and so on. I personally love all of these luxe textures mixed together, and I especially love how the casual plaid shirt paired with this look gives it that unexpected twist. I’m huge fan of adding a surprise twist to an outfit. In this case, I used plaid to contrast with all of the sleek textures. This past August I collaborated with Katie Dumestre and Rachel Adams of The Elizabeth Chronicles to create a stylish tee for my readers inspired by New Orleans, high fashion and of course Haute Off The Rack. For those of you who aren’t familiar with TEC’s tee designs, Katie and Rachel create casual, designer-influenced tees with a hint of local flair such as the Crescent City/Chanel tee that I styled in my recent post, Crescent City Style.
For Haute Off The Rack’s tee design, we went for an Hermes-inspired image to emphasize the “H” in “Haute” once I decided on the phrase “Haute For NOLA.” It didn’t take me long to choose the black and gold color scheme considering that the shirts would be ready just in time for football season. P.S. When washing your tee, do not throw it in the dryer! Lay flat to dry. The heat is too harsh on the gold foil.

Good Morning readers, so yesteday you saw me wearing this same outfit only I had on a different vest. Today, I’m wearing a winter white shearling vest from Candy Apple Boutique. I wanted to wear this outfit with two different outer pieces to show you that sleeveless outerwear is the answer to all of your pre-fall fashion problems. Vests and sleeveless cardigans are guaranteed to keep you comfortable in between cool fronts as well as extra stylish once we reach cooler temps. Right now, you can wear a vest over a simple tank or tee with jeans or leggings for an easy pre-fall look. Then once it gets colder, you can layer it over sweaters or under warm coats for a cozy chic look.
