Good Morning readers, how about this flirty spring skirt! Today I’m featuring two of my favorite clothing and shoe brands from Herringstone’s Boutique to wear during the spring and summer. Show Me Your Mumu and Dolce Vita are my number one go-to brands as soon as spring rolls around each year because Dolce Vita always makes the cutest heeled sandals in neutral colors. I’m telling you, they go with everything!! As for Mumu, they always design the prettiest prints and and boho silhouettes in vibrant colors and lightweight fabrics. The lightweight wrinkle-free material is the best part considering how hot it gets during Louisiana summers! Right now I’m loving their Red Rocks Romper, the RiRi Romper and the Baskin Mini Dress! I also like to wear their Peta and Shook tunics as swim coverups. Oh and I can’t forget to mention the cropped top and flirty spring skirt that I’m wearing in today’s post! I literally wore this cropped top every day of last summer! It’s definitely a staple piece in my wardrobe.

Good Morning readers, we’ve officially made it to Spring! However, I realize that we can’t go immediatly from jeans, heavy sweaters and boots to mini skirts and cropped tops. It takes time before we’re ready to show off our bare legs and arms. This is what we call the transitional period! I know I’ve been parading around in swimwear and coverups for the past few weeks, but that’s because I wanted to show you what fun colors and prints you have to look forward to. Just because you aren’t ready to wear those pieces yet doesn’t mean you can purchase them right now and save them for later.
The perfect transitional style pieces to wear before you’re ready tackle bright colors and prints are: light wash denim, ankle boots, pastel or neutral colored sweaters, white denim, sneakers or slip-ons and light weight jackets or vests. The best way to start slowly incorporating hints of spring into your wardrobe is by wearing bright colored accessories and peep-toe booties or wedges.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having a great week so far and if not, at least tomorrow is Friday! Right?
About this look: So… sometimes I like to pretend I’m cooler than I really am. Haha! You’re probably wondering what the heck I’m talking about…I’m referring to festival style! I’m not really that free-spirited, music festival kind of girl, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE that type of cool and effortless boho style! That’s the magic of dressing up though. You can still try new trends and styles even if you’re not that type of girl. Remember playing dress up when you were little? You would never dress in your normal clothes! No! You would dress up like a princess or a rock star and maybe even like your “cool” big sister. Guess what? You can still do that! You don’t always have to dress your part in life. You can step out of your comfort zone and try something new. It doesn’t hurt to try out a few flash tattoos and some fun boho jewelry with your swimsuit and cover up. Who knows maybe you’ll love it and even find yourself heading to your first music festival!
Today, I teamed up with Swimspot to bring you some festival style inspiration, but you don’t actually have to go to a music fest to pull off these looks! You can rock these beaded bracelets and delicate Gorjana jewels at the beach while on spring vacation or even to jazz up your denim cutoffs or little black dress. I also love pairing the fringe tote with a flowy dress or boyfriend jeans paired with a classic white tee. As for the Swimspot bathing suit and striped cover up, I know you’ll definitely get a good use out of those this spring and summer!

High Waisted Bottoms: I’ll touch more on the high waisted bottoms subject later, but I just wanted to say how much I’m loving high-wasited swimsuit bottoms right now. They’re trendy, edgy, retro and modest all at the same time! I highly recommend trying out a pair when you start swimwear hunting for spring break! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! I especially love the Ella Moss Sedona high waist bikini from Swimspot.

Good Morning readers, today I’m featuring another one of my resort wear outfits from my recent girls’ trip to Laguna Beach, CA. You absolutely need to add this beautiful tie-dye swim cover up to your spring/summer wardrobe especially since it’s only $25! There is just no reason not to unless you totally hate it, which I doubt you do! You love it, right?!
Sizing: I normally wear a size 2 (I’m 5 ft/34 B) and I got a small in this coverup and it fits the perfectly! It has an elastic band around the waist so it will stretch. However, I don’t think I would have minded the medium but I would not have gone for the XS.
