So Long Winter Wear!
Today we’re saying to so long to turtlenecks, over the knee boots and pretty much all winter wear because even though spring hasn’t officially arrived, it basically feels like it has in Louisiana. I actually just made the switch from fall/winter to spring/summer in my closet last night. I boxed up all of my sweaters, boots, outerwear and cold weather accessories in large clear containers and stored them away in a separate closet. However, I did leave out this lightweight jacket for styling easy transitional looks.

Happy Friday everyone! It’s going to be a beautiful weekend at least for us Louisianans! This is my cold weather look of the season since I packed everything away in storage and am heading to Southern California next week. First stop, Laguna Beach and then we’re off to party in the desert for My Style Diaries’ bachelorette trip in Palm Springs.

How To Master The Athleisure Trend
For my second post of the day, I’m talking about how to master the athleisure trend. If you’re one to dress in your activewear even when you don’t plan to hit the gym that day, then I’m sure you’re loving the new trend as am I! Sometimes I’ll even shower after working out and put on new activewear clothing to wear for the rest of the day because hey, it’s comfy! Plus it’s easy and functional especially for someone who works from home. Scroll down to see how to seamlessly pull off the trend.

Outfit: Ripped Jeans | Similar Olive Jacket | Similar Sleeveless Sweater | Rebecca Minkoff Mini Suki c/o Emma’s Shoes | Chloe Marcie Satchel | Nike Free Running Shoes
The key to mastering the athleisure trend is chic accessories and a cool pair of sneakers. A really edgy yoga pant style doesn’t hurt either! If I’m heading out to run errands after the gym or if I just straight up want to wear fitness clothing that day then I like to my pair outfit with my black Nike running shoes and a nice handbag like my Chloe Marcie Satchel. I like how the chic handbag offsets the casual vibe of the sneakers for an unexpected twist to the everyday activewear outfit. If you don’t own a big handbag, not to worry because a simple cross body like my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Suki looks just as cute!
As for the actual outfit, I say anything goes as long as you add a jacket, vest or even a scarf. In this case I’m wearing jeans, but this outfit would have looked equally as chic with yoga pants. It’s really the accessories that pull the whole look together. I also added jewelry to help dress up my look, but jewelry definitely isn’t necessary to pull off the athlesuire trend!

Good Morning readers, for today’s look I styled the same jeans, sweater, scarf and boots twice with a new handbag and a different piece of outerwear! The camel coat is heavy and warm for extra cold weather while the olive jacket is very thin and lightweight for our 75 degree day in the south! Yep, that’s right! I checked the weather app and temps are supposed to reach the mid 70s on Thanksgiving day here in Louisiana.
All photos were taken at the beautiful NoMo SoHo Hotel in NYC.
