Good Morning readers, I’ve got two blog posts for you starting with “What’s Haute Now!” I recently came across Betsy Pittard’s beautiful boho-inspired jewels at Candy Apple Boutique in Metairie, LA and instantly fell in love with them. During the spring and summer I’m all about layering on a ton of boho-beaded necklaces and bracelets her designs are right up my alley. Betsy kindly sent me this gorgeous assortment of jewels right before I left for New York Fashion Week, but I wore so many layers of clothes throughout the whole trip that I never got to show off any of these fab pieces. However, it won’t be long before you start seeing BPD pieces popping up in every other outfit post on Haute Off The Rack.

Good Morning readers and Happy Valentine’s Day! If you saw yesterday’s post (Dress To Impress This Valentine’s Day: Casual Style), then you saw how I styled this Kate Spade graphic tee for a casual Valentine’s Day date with a pair of distressed denim and a pale pink jacket. Today, I styled it with a bight fun midi skirt by Bel & Beau and my Kate Spade beau bag for a fancy date. I love the unexpected twist of the pink midi skirt paired with the graphic “Dress To Impress” tee. It’s a sweet and elegant look while also bright and fun, which is perfect for a Valentine’s Day date with your sweetie or even your friends.
What are your thoughts on “the midi” skirt? Some of you might be thinking that you can’t pull it off because you’re too short, but let me remind you that I am only 5 ft tall!! So being short is no excuse! I am loving the midi skirt trend as well as the ball gown skirt trend too! They look great paired with graphic tees as well as cropped tops and sleeveless sweaters. Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous New Year’s Eve and day. I’m so excited to embark on this brand new year, but before we move forward with 2014 I wanted to take a look back at all of Haute Off The Rack’s top moments of 2013. 7) Designing a collaboration tee with The Elizabeth Chronicles and selling over 75 tees!
6) Hosting over 10 events including the grand opening of H&M in New Orleans
5) Landing a spot on a local billboard and the home page of Mignon Faget!
4) Hosting 8 live Haute Off The Rack fashion segments with WBRZ News
3) Landing a principal part in a national Target commercial that was filmed here in New Orleans, Louisiana. The commercial will air this Spring!
