Good Morning readers and Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so ready to scarf down some turkey, dressing and my homemade pumpkin squares at four different houses today! Yes, you read that right! I said four houses!  For those of you getting a late start to the day like myself, I’ve put together a potential Thanksgiving Day outfit with some new Hudson moto jeans available at Nordstrom. What do you think of my denim on denim look?  I feel like it works really well since the jeans are a grey wash moto style and the chambray shirt is a light shade of denim.  I threw on the plaid scarf for a hint of color and finished off the look with a black panama hat.

You can find all of these pieces at Nordstrom as well as wider selection of boots, plaid scarves, MZ Wallace bags, winter hats and especially denim. Nordstrom is always my go-to place when it comes to searching for the newest styles of jeans from my favorite denim brands like J Brand, Hudson, Citizens, Paige, DL1961 and more. I would definitely make sure to check out their Black Friday sales starting tonight!

Also, I just want to take today as an opportunity to thank you all so much for following along with Haute Off The Rack on social media and reading my blog each day. Your readership and support means everything to me! This blog wouldn’t be half as enjoyable without your feedback and involvement! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I truly mean that! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

P.S. Stay tuned for a list of the best Black Friday Deals later today on Haute Off The Rack!

Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Outfit: Citizens of Humanity Rocket Skinny Jeans, Cable knit Cardigan & Foldover Boots c/o Amor Boutique in Lafayette, LA (337) 456-1932 | Infinity Scarf c/o Ann Taylor | Textured Sweatshirt | Boot Socks | Jenn Bucket Bag (designed by Haute Off The Rack via Gigi New York) |  Metro Backpack & Chelsea Weekender c/o MZ Wallace (available at Emma’s Shoes in Mandeville & Metairie, LA (504) 407-0668)

Jewelry: Druzy Necklace c/o Elizabeth Stone Jewelry (use code: HAUTE20 for 20% OFF your entire purchase)

Good Afternoon readers, I am so excited to share this travel style look from one of the most amazing new boutiques in Lafayette, Louisiana. Yes, I am talking about Amor! In case you aren’t from around here, let me fill you in on the whole boutique deal…..Sweet southern customer service and exclusivity is what shopping in Louisiana is all about! Since, there is a lack of department stores here in Louisiana, fashionable women thrive on local boutique shopping. Most boutique owners as well as their employees call all of their customers by name and know exactly how to dress and style them. They even keep track of who bought what and where that customer plans to wear it to in order to do their best to help women avoid wearing the same outfit as someone else to the same event.

Even though Amor is new to town, I know it won’t be long before it’s named as one of the “hautest” places to shop. I know this because the owners already run two very successful boutiques in Baton Rouge, Love and Eros!  Plus Amor carries all of your/my favorite lines of denim, sweaters, boots and dresses and not to mention that they have top quality customer service!

The sweet girls at Amor helped me pick out this outfit to show you the perfect “home for the holidays” look! Doesn’t get much better than a cozy cardigan, distressed denim and ankle boots. Right? It’ll take you from traveling all day by car/bus/train/plane/ and then out to get togethers with friends and family tonight. I hope you all have safe travels to wherever you’re headed for Thanksgiving!

Naked On The Run Palette c/o Urban Decay | Infinity Scarf c/o Ann Taylor | ipad Case c/o Graphic Image | Metro Backpack & Chelsea Weekender c/o MZ Wallace (available at Emma’s Shoes in Mandeville & Metairie, LA (504) 407-0668)

Good Evening readers, Thanksgiving is just a few short days away so I put together some of my favorite new travel pieces by MZ Wallace for everyone heading out of town for the holidays.  The weightless Metro Backpack by MZ Wallace is obviously super convenient for traveling, but it’s also great for everyday use too instead of carrying around a tote.  There’s nothing wrong with using a tote, but sometimes it’s so nice to have your hands free while you’re out and about. You can check it out for yourself locally in Louisiana at Emma’s Shoes in Mandeville or Metairie or at your local Nordstrom.

Also, if you’re anything like me you’re going to love packing along the Naked On The Run travel kit by Urban Decay for finishing your makeup in the car (not while driving) or touching up while your out. It has everything you need for that ultimate Naked look: “six ALL-NEW shades of Eyeshadow (including an extra large dose of the perfect all-over shade, 5050). Bronzer. Blush. It even comes with a full-size Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss and a travel-size 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (both new shades), plus a travel-size Perversion Mascara.”

If you ask anyone who knows me well enough, they’ll tell you I’m never ever ready on time so I always have to pack all of my makeup to finish in the car while someone else drives or once I get to where I’m going! I think that maybe my boyfriend and friends secretly had the Naked On The Run Palette created just for me so that they don’t have to wait on me while I pack all of my stuff to finish getting ready in the car! Just Kidding, but it really is perfect for all of us “always running behind” people.

Outfit: Chambray Shirt | Cropped Sweater  SALE Alert! Get 40% OFF w/ code: SHOPANN | Over The Knee Boots | Ballet Flats c/o Dee Keller | DL1961 Jeans c/o Elle Boutique in New Orleans, LA |  MZ Wallace Chrissy Bag (smaller version), Large Metro Tote & Marlena Backpack available at Emma’s Shoes in Mandeville & Metairie, LA (504) 407-0668

Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today, I want to talk about how to wear cropped sweaters.  There are a few ways to wear them in the winter. You can wear a cropped sweater with a high waisted skirt or pants with a little hint of skin showing or you can wear a slightly longer cropped top that doesn’t show any skin at all like this one (here).  However, my favorite way to wear a cropped sweater lately is layered over a long button down shirt.  Remember when I wore a dark grey cropped sweater just like this with a white oversized shirt here–> The Debut of the Jenn Bucket Bag

To avoid looking bulky or boxy up top when layering, you need to try on a few different sizes and styles of cropped sweaters to see which style works best for you. Some of you may look great in a snug tight sweater while others rock a more loose fitting style. It really all depends on your shape and preference. Since I have a short torso I went with a size petite small for a more cropped fitted look. The regular small was too long on me and hit at an awkward spot on my stomach, which made me look boxy.  Try a few out and let me know what you think! I highly recommend trying the style shown in today’s post. As you can see below, I liked it so much that I bought it in two colors!

Keep your eye out next week to see how to wear a cropped sweater with high waisted skirts!
