My Go-To Look For Everyday Wear

Hey everyone, as most of you know, I live right outside of New Orleans and I recently realized that I don’t share enough of the Big Easy with you. So I decided that I’m going to start bringing you along on more of my NOLA adventures starting today with a trip to District Donuts. If you live in the area, then I’m sure you’re familiar with this delightful donut joint. If you aren’t, then believe me when I say that it 100% lives up to all the hype. Not only do they serve up mouthwatering specialty donuts like s’mores and salted caramel, but they also fry up some of the best chicken sliders I’ve ever tasted! Let’s just say I may have unbuttoned my jeans on the ride home after stuffing my face with fried chicken, waffle fries and s’mores flavored donuts!

Speaking of my jeans, I styled my distressed denim with cropped a classic Polo Ralph Lauren shirt, nude mules and a saddle bag. I knotted my polo shirt in front to maintain the edgy vibe of my ripped jeans and wrapped a striped, silk scarf around my handbag for some added style. I love wearing a simple white shirt with distressed denim and nude shoes because it always looks effortlessly chic. It’s always my go-to look for a day of errands and lunch in the city. Plus I love adding different accessories to easily change up the look for everyday wear. How would you wear this cropped Polo Ralph Lauren shirt?

Everyday Slip-Ons For Spring

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. We had the most beautiful weather over the weekend in Louisiana so we spent most of our Easter holiday doing casual outdoor activities like boiling crawfish and barbecuing.

Today I’ve partnered with Born Shoes to share my new casual, everyday slip-ons for spring. I just can’t get enough of these nude slip-on mules because not only are they comfortable and breathable, but they’re also super cute too. The perforated woven detail puts them right on trend for this season and the nude color goes with everything. However, I also love the blush color too and as well as this knit fabric sneaker by Born Footwear that is equally as comfortable as the Cameo.

I paired my Born Cameo mules with some high waist ankle jeans and tie front top for a cute transitional look into spring, but I also like wearing them with boyfriend jeans and cutoff shorts. How would you style these nude mules?

I’ve been carrying my Barrington Gifts St. Anne tote a lot lately because I’ve been trying to work on my laptop outdoors at coffee shops and cafes as much as I can while the spring weather is so beautiful.

Get ready to see this perforated mule trend everywhere!

Galentine’s Day Beauty Essentials

Happy Friday everyone, today I’ve teamed up with Walmart to share some fun and affordable galentine’s day beauty essentials. Normally, Blake and I go out for a romantic dinner, but this Valentine’s Day is different being that it’s my last v-day as a single gal before we get married in two weeks. So I thought to myself..what better way to spend my last Valentine’s Day as a single lady than enjoying a relaxing at-home spa day with my girls. At this point in my wedding planning experience, I feel like we’ve spent a fortune on both necessary and unnecessary things so the fact that Walmart offers a variety of affordable beauty products to create your own at-home spa is so refreshing. I was able to find moisturizing faces masks, manicure and pedicure tools and all of my favorite OPI nail colors along with some fresh new colors.  You can find everything for your own gal party in their Galentine’s day beauty selection. Scroll through this post to see everything I purchased to complete my perfect galentine’s day spa weekend just before my big day.

1) OPI Nail Polish | Walmart always has the best selection of OPI colors. I always go for neutral colors, but don’t worry they have everything as well as other brands of nail polish. On top of that, they carry all of the necessary tools to achieve salon worthy manis and pedis.

2) Calming & Moisturizing faces masks | I’m sure we can all agree that this cold dry weather has not been kind to our skin and complexions so plenty of moisture is needed in order to look glam and glowy on my wedding day. Speaking of asking color complexions, that brings me to my next beauty product necessity.

3) Bronzing Lotion | Let’s be really here, no matter how tan your skin naturally is, everyone could use a little bronze shimmer on special occasions (aka my wedding day)! I love using this Loreal Sublime bronzer!
