Hey readers, I hope you’re all having a great weekend! If you’re a football fan or live with one then I’m sure you’ve spent at least half of your Fall weekends watching college and NFL football or tailgating and cheering in a stadium. I’m not your biggest sports fan, but my boyfriend is so I always end up at some kind of football party or game on the weekends. If you read my last NFL game day post, then you know I’m more concerned about the fried food and sweets I’ll get to eat instead of what the score is. Although, I did pay attention during the last quarter of the LSU vs Ole Miss game yesterday and I was rather intrigued. Anyway, I also mentioned in my last post that I have bit of trouble remembering the players’ names and numbers. In case you’re wondering why I, myself of all people need to know them, that would be because my boyfriend won’t let me come with him unless I can recite at least five of the players’ names along with their numbers. So to help myself out a little, I decided to wear a shirt with an important player and his number on it! Smart right? One down, four to go!
Just to prove to you that I’m more in interested in my game day outfit and the chips and dip and sweets, look at what I made during the the first half of yesterday’s game! We made these Pumpkin Pudding Parfaits that we found on Pinterest here–> Pumpkin Dirt Pudding Graveyard Parfaits

Good afternoon readers, just one more day until Friday Whoo Hoo! For today’s post, I recently partnered up with Lilly Pulitzer to show you some of the pieces from their Cuban Cocktails collection. These dresses are adorable and perfect for the those out-of-the-office work events where you want to dress cute and snazzy, but still need to look tasteful and modest in front of your boss and co-workers. With the holidays right around the corner, now isn’t a bad time to starting adding sophisticated dressy pieces like these to your closet. That way you’ll be prepared for at least some of your holiday events.
While both of these dresses look and feel great on, I find myself gravitating more towards the navy dress because I love the little cutout detail on the back and I love a classic shade of navy. This is a dress that you can pull out for various special occasions all year long. It fits like a glove and pairs well with shoes from every season. I know because I tried the dress on with almost every pair of shoes in my closet when I put it on for the first time. It looks great with red pumps, gold sandals, black booties, over the knee boots, flat sandals, you name it!
For sizing, both dresses fit true to size and I didn’t have to either of them hemmed which is rare considering that I’m only 5 ft tall! I got the size 2 in both dresses if that helps!
P.S. Look out for my special “Style Seen” feature on Lily Pulitzer’s blog, The Juice Stand!

“Luxury to me is not about buying expensive things; it’s about living in a way where you appreciate things.” – Oscar De La Renta
Good Morning readers, after the fashion world’s recent loss of Oscar De La Renta, the quote above really stuck out to me. So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite things with you this morning that I consider luxuries. To me, it’s really the little things in life like being able to enjoy coffee in the morning and desert after dinner or even in the middle of the day! It’s about getting to wear my fuzzy socks and robe while working from home, having lunch with my best friend and not having to worry that I need to be back at work at a certain time. Luxury is getting to enjoy the things you love to do without the stress and worry that there is something else you should be doing and it’s about appreciating the time you have to soak it up. Time is luxury! Don’t get me wrong, I also find nice handbags, weekend trips to the beach and weeklong stays in Europe luxuries too, but again it’s still about the time you have to enjoy those things. I hope I explained how I feel correctly and didn’t come off as ignorant by saying any of that. All I’m trying to say is that to me, luxury is the time being able to do what I love whether that means playing with my little fairy-god-child and best friend, drinking coffee and desert outside with my boyfriend, a weekend at the beach or even just blogging in my pajamas and fuzzy socks. I value all of that more than anything.
