Good Afternoon readers, I’m sorry for the late blog post today, but I’m still recovering from New York Fashion Week. I swear we never stopped for a break in that city nor did we get any sleep! It was crazy but so much fun! I can’t wait to show you photos from the trip. I’m sure you saw a bunch of pictures already if you follow me on Instagram, but just wait until you see the rest.

As for this outfit, I’ve already styled this Iconic white shirt from White House Black Market two other ways. In case you missed the posts, you can view them here–> 5 Key Pieces For An Easy Transition To Fall & The Iconic White Shirt. Like I mentioned in those previous posts, denim and a white top is all you need to get through this transitional phase from summer to fall. However, I realize that sometimes you can get stuck on how to change up your denim and white tee look or how to take it from day to night. That’s why I decided to style this outfit three different ways for you.  Just remember to incorporate your fall shoes, handbags and accessories into your look like this Blue Croc Danielle Nicole backpack.  It’s also always good to throw something fresh in there like these white studded pumps by French Connections which are available in gorgeous new colors for fall. I’ve got my eyes on the navy and grey ones! Once the weather gets a little cooler you can start including different jackets and sweaters into your transitional looks. Until then, it’s also really cute to tie a plaid button down shirt around waist with jeans a simple tee. You can also draping a denim jacket or neutral-colored moto jacket over your shoulders for more of a statement

The Exciting News Behind The Navy Clutch: In case you’re wondering why there are a few pictures of a beautiful navy clutch with Laura Mercier makeup that’s because I am working on an exciting collaboration with the Saks in New Orleans. I can’t spill too many details just yet. All can say is… plan to stop by the Saks at Canal Place in New Orleans on September 27 for a fun shopping event with Haute Off The Rack. You can even recieve one of these textured clutches with a few Laura Mercier makeup samples inside with purchase.  More exciting details to come!

Good afternoon readers, I hope you all had a great week. I’m having an amazing time at New York Fashion Week and I’m so excited to share one of my NYFW experiences with you today! In case you didn’t already know, I have never ever colored my hair before…ever!! So when Lucky Magazine and Aloxxi reached out to me about coloring my hair to kick off New York Fashion Week, I immediately jumped at the opportunity.

People have always told me to never put color in my hair because it was “already so beautiful,” so I didn’t, but boy was I missing out! It’s so fun—I feel like a whole new person! As you can see I didn’t go too crazy with color, but to me any added color is a drastic change! Marilyn, the Aloxxi artistic advisor did a fantastic job at creating the look I was going for, which was a very natural-looking “sombre” with a soft balayage. Since I was a “hair color virgin” prior to my appointment yesterday, Marilyn gave me a detailed description of everything that she was doing to my hair so I would feel comfortable with the process. She even explained how to use all of my new Aloxxi hair products, which smell divine in case you were wondering.

I love how Aloxxi is all about hair color personalities. My color personality is called “Seduction on the Grand Canal.” Each color has a fun unique name so that you can easily tell your Aloxxi hair color stylist the look that you’re trying to achieve. I don’t know much since I’m a hair color newbie, but I do know that I could not have asked for a better first hair color experience with Aloxxi.

Disclosure: Thank you to Aloxxi and Lucky Magazine for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
