Holiday Gifts For Her: Part II

Outfit: Infinity Scarf, Hunter Rain Boots & Tory Burch Mini Bucket Bag c/o Emma’s Shoes | Similar Fuzzy Eyelash Sweater | Camel Coat c/o Lands End (wearing sz Petite 4) | Sunday Necklace c/o Sarah Ott (local Louisiana designer)
Jewelry: Hoop Earrings c/o Emma’s Shoes (504) 407-0668 or (985) 778-2200 | Rings c/o Melanie Auld
Good Morning readers, today I’ve partnered up with Emma’s Shoes in Mandeville and Metairie, LA to bring you some more great gift ideas “for her” starting with these Hunter Rain boots! I swear, I think those are on every’s girls’ lists right now even if they already have a pair! Emma’s has a great selection of both the tall and short Hunter boots as well the knit boot socks, which are perfect for the winter. I personally prefer the short style for myself since I am so petite. I’m only 5′ ft! However, the tall boots are so cute especially since you wear them with the boot socks.
I also want to bring your attention to the simple gold hoop earrings and cozy infinity scarf. I feel like these are no brainer gift ideas because if she normally wears scarves in the winter and always dons a pair of earrings, then there is no reason that she wouldn’t love these two options from Emma’s! Even though the earrings are large hoops, they are still very understated so she can get away with wearing them as an every day earring. If she’s more of a small stud kind of girl, then she might like wearing them out on a Friday night to shake up her look a little.
Last, but not least….the Tory Burch mini bucket bag from Emma’s. I mean how stinking cute is this little mini bag. At first, I thought to myself, this bag is just way to small to be functional, but once I tried it out I realized that it’s actually the perfect evening bag or quick errand-running bag. It has a built in wallet for your cards and cash and just enough room for your phone keys and lipgloss! You might even be able to squeeze one more beauty essential in there too. What more do you need while you’re out at night anyway!
About the Sunday Necklace: Did you notice that the necklace I’m wearing sort of resembles a football floating over the New Orleans Superdome? That’s because it is! Hence, why it is called the Sunday Necklace! This necklace is the perfect gift for any New Orleans Saints fan, but especially ones like myself. Just in case you don’t know what kind of fan I am, I’m the type that’s more excited about putting a cute black and gold outfit together rather than the actual game! I just love how this necklace allows you to represent New Orleans in a simple and understated way. It doesn’t scream Saints football fan so you can get away with wearing it as an everyday necklace and not just on Sunday.

Good Afternoon readers, I am so excited to share this travel style look from one of the most amazing new boutiques in Lafayette, Louisiana. Yes, I am talking about Amor! In case you aren’t from around here, let me fill you in on the whole boutique deal…..Sweet southern customer service and exclusivity is what shopping in Louisiana is all about! Since, there is a lack of department stores here in Louisiana, fashionable women thrive on local boutique shopping. Most boutique owners as well as their employees call all of their customers by name and know exactly how to dress and style them. They even keep track of who bought what and where that customer plans to wear it to in order to do their best to help women avoid wearing the same outfit as someone else to the same event.
Even though Amor is new to town, I know it won’t be long before it’s named as one of the “hautest” places to shop. I know this because the owners already run two very successful boutiques in Baton Rouge, Love and Eros! Plus Amor carries all of your/my favorite lines of denim, sweaters, boots and dresses and not to mention that they have top quality customer service!
The sweet girls at Amor helped me pick out this outfit to show you the perfect “home for the holidays” look! Doesn’t get much better than a cozy cardigan, distressed denim and ankle boots. Right? It’ll take you from traveling all day by car/bus/train/plane/ and then out to get togethers with friends and family tonight. I hope you all have safe travels to wherever you’re headed for Thanksgiving!

Good Morning readers, tomorrow is the big day at Emma’s Shoes in Metairie. I can’t wait to see all of you at my Halloween event featuring a handbag trunk show with MZ Wallace! In case you haven’t noticed, the Marlena Backpack is my favorite bag from MZ Wallace Fall collection right now. I feel so cool and sporty-chic when I’m rocking a backpack instead of a structured tote. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of my handbags, but when I want to go for an edgier feel I like to wear my Marlena especially when traveling. I defintely think that backpacks add that instant cool factor to your look. They make you look fun and adventurous like you might need your hands free at any given moment to do something spontaneous. However, if there is anyone who needs free hands more than adventurous people, it’s moms! I watch my “fairy” God child from time to time and I don’t know how moms carry anything for themselves at all! You’ve got the carseat, the stroller, the diaper bag, the pacifier that she keeps throwing on the ground and oh yea, the baby! What mom has extra hands for a handbag? Moms, adventurous travelers and girls who just want to add the cool factor to your look, make sure to come check out the Marlena for yourself at Emma’s Shoes in Metairie tomorrow. I’ll be there from 2-4, but they’ll have the bags on display all day! They’ll even have MZ Wallace’s newest backpack available from their holiday collection called the metro backpack. On top of that, you will receive a delicous dessert Jar by Dani with purchase. Trust me, you do not want to miss out on these mouthwatering treats!
Visit my last post for more details on all 3 bags–> Join Me For An MZ Wallace Halloween Event!
P.S. If the Chrissie bag in this post is too large for your everyday needs, but you love the style… you’re in luck because they make a smaller version called the Andie!
Event Details: MZ Wallace Handbag Trunk Show on Thursday, October 30th at Emma’s Shoes | 110 Rosa Ave., Metairie, LA | Phone: (504) 407- 0668 | Receive #JarsbyDani with purchase!
Thank you to MZ Wallace for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
