How I Decorated My Living Room for Christmas with At Home

Hey everyone, today I’m sharing how I decorated my home for the holidays with the help of my local At Home store. At Home carries a wide variety of Christmas trees, ornaments and outdoor holiday decorations along with their usual furniture pieces, bedding, home accessories and decorative objects at affordable prices. If you read my last home decor post with At Home, I mentioned that throw pillows are the easiest way to give your living room or bedding a little update. Changing up the color or texture of your throw pillows and blankets can shift the whole look of the room. Like you got a whole new living room set! I picked up some grey velvet pillows and textured throws in early Fall knowing that they would transition nicely into holiday with a couple of metallic pieces thrown in. I’m so glad I found these gold metallic pillows to add into the mix along with this sequin statement pillow. I always like to go for a cozy glam look during the holidays.

I found so many unique ornaments and tree decorations at my local At Home store like this antique chair ornament.

At Home had so many cute decorative pillows, but this sequin Christmas tree one was my favorite! I love how it makes a subtle statement on the couch.

I love this blush and gold nutcracker I found at At Home instead of the traditional red. I also grabbed a pack of mini silver and gold ornaments to fill my glass apothecary jar.

How gorgeous is this rose gold ornament? I love how At Home has a dedicated isle to each Christmas color scheme. I obviously love the blushes, whites and metallics.

How I Cozied Up My Living Room For Fall With At Home

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. I know it’s a been a little while since my last blog post, but I took some time off after my birthday before busy season begins. Then of course right when I was ready to get back to work Blake and I were struck with a stomach bug. Fortunately, I’m back in the office today and I’m sharing how I cozied up my living room for fall with my local At Home store.

The first aisle I always like to visit at my local At Home store is the throw pillow aisle because throw pillows are like stuffed animals for adult women. LOL Not only do I find throw pillows lovable, but they’re also the easiest way to give your living room or bedding a little update. Changing up your pillows can shift the whole look of the room.

If you follow along with Haute Off The Rack regularly, then you know my living room was super bright and colorful this past spring and summer. So I decided to shift gears back into neutral with these grey velvet pillows and textured throws for Fall. I think they will transition nicely into holiday too.

After passing through the pillow aisle, I always like to stop and and admire all of the decorative little objects like these pretty little pumpkins. I made sure to grab two with each of our initials to place on our mantel. I even came across these beautiful ‘gather’ sign that I placed in the center of the mantle surrounded by greenery and pumpkins.

I don’t know if it’s because travel is such huge part of my life, but I always gravitate towards decorative globes. I already have two displayed in my home, but when I spotted this one at my local At Home store, I knew I needed him too.

Last but not least, I scooped up some lanterns, mini hay bales and candles from At Home before picking up some pumpkins and mums at my local feed and seed store. The lanterns and hay bales added the perfect touches to my front porch pumpkin display for fall.

Haute Off The Rack 2019 Spring Home Tour

Hey everyone and Happy Monday! As promised, today I am sharing my 2019 spring home tour. However, we aren’t quite finished with our home just yet so I will continue sharing all of the updates we make this year on the blog. We’ll start with the living room! If you saw my post in December, we recently purchased the Samsung Frame TV to hang above our mantle for a cleaner and more decorative look. The new frame tv has been a game changer because we can set it to different paintings or our own photos when the tv is off. We also just renovated our fireplace this past year from red brick to marble. The white marble really brightens up the whole room and looks great against the grey walls. Speaking of our grey walls, I get questions about the paint color all the time and it is the Sherwin Williams color match to Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter HC-172.

Clearly I love soft neutral colors with hints of blush, sage and gray. Also, the framed painting above our fireplace is actually our tv! Yes, you read that right! Our tv allows you to set it to a matte screensaver, in which you choose the piece of artwork you’d like to display and it’s the best home decor compromise my husband and I have ever made! LOL Speaking of artwork, everyone has been asking me for the name of the artist who did the painting on the wall and I actually bought it on sale for $100 from World Market! Such a steal!

The first thing people see when they walk into my house is a long entryway so I wanted to cover the walls with happy memories that reflect the rest of our home and the people we love most. I linked to my exact gallery wall design along with the individual antique silver frames I used.

A little hardware update goes a long way! We just swapped out all of the silver knobs on our kitchen drawers and cabinets with these brass bars and I feel like it has totally elevated the overall look of the kitchen! We wanted long gold handle bars, but that would have required us to drill new holes and patch and paint the old ones so this was a much easier alternative!

I love decorating my dining room with a new color scheme each season. For spring, I decided to go with blush to pull out the pops of pink in my living room and plenty of floral pieces with gold accents to make the room bright and happy. As for my oyster paintings, I had them custom made by a local Louisiana artist, @christinafontenot.
