Good morning everyone! I’m so excited because today at 12:30 ET marks the first day of “early access” to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Fortunately for you and me, yet unfortunately for my husband, I have “ambassador” status in the Nordy Club so I was able to shop the sale at Houston Galleria location on Wednesday for an exclusive sneak peek of all the amazing sale items. I course snapped photos and videos of my favorite pieces to share them with you here on my blog and Instagram! 4) Activewear — Zella leggings are the best, but I also love All Yoga too.

Spare Bedroom Transformed Into Glam Office

Hey everyone, I hope you all had wonderful 4th of July weekend. We’ve been enjoying our time at the beach, but I’m excited to team up with World Market to share my glam office reveal with you today. We’ve been living in our house for almost two years, but up until now I’ve been working at the kitchen table. After enough complaints from my husband about my stuff covering the kitchen table, we finally decided to transform one of our small spare bedrooms into an office for me to work in. Before I designed my office, I created an inspiration board on my Pinterest and used it to choose a color scheme and put together a list of office must-haves. Once I had an idea of what I was looking for, I searched through World Market’s Instagram and website for some additional inspo before adding items to my cart. After taking measurements of the entire room, some serious online shopping a few visits to my local World Market store, I was able to design the most perfect office with all of the golden glam, faux fur and subtle hints of pink that I could have hoped for.

I’m so excited to show you how I transformed this spare bedroom into multipurpose room with World Market. Not only is it my office, but it’s also used for extra storage, closet space and my vanity where I can do my makeup and film tutorials for you all. It’s amazing what you can do with small spaces by just adding the right pieces. Today I’m gonna show you how I designed my personal space along with some tips to help you create your own! Let’s get started!

1) Start with a rug you love & build up! I chose the Gold and Ivory Faux Zebra Hide Area Rug because I love the texture and glam vibes it brings to the room.

2) Use light bright colors to open up the space! I went with white, gold and blush because I know they are colors that I will enjoy year round.

3) Hang a mirror to make the space appear bigger. I used a gold round mirror above my desk to create a vanity space.

4) Place a round table in the middle of the room for to leave wall space for storage! It also makes it easier to move about the room. This gold and marble table is gorgeous and can also be used as a dining table in small kitchen or little breakfast nook.

5) Last, but not least swap out the light fixture for a pretty chandelier to add more visual interest to the room. This whitewash wood draped bead chandelier is the perfect statement piece in my office. If you want to make a small cosmetic update to a room in your house, I always recommend swapping out the light fixture first because it’s small update, but it makes a huge difference.

When it comes to decorative objects I like to choose pieces that reflect my personality and things I like love. Since traveling is such a huge part of my life, I placed a blush and gold globe from World Market on my shelf to inspire me to continue traveling the world.

These gold and clear rolling carts are perfect to use as extra storage for office supplies or in my case makeup for my vanity.

How to Shop The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019

Good morning friends, we’re officially one week away from the most anticipated sale of the year: the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019! This sale is known for offering some of Nordstrom’s top pieces like the BlankNYC suede moto jacket, the Barefoot Dreams cardigan and the Jeffrey Campbell Booties from last year! I love the Anniversary Sale because Nordstrom isn’t just marking down items that didn’t sell over the summer, they’re selling brand new closet staples and on-trend items at unbeatable prices. It’s the ultimate time to go crazy on pre-fall denim, booties, jackets, Zella leggings, handbags, shoes, you name it! With that being said, I’ve taken my past six years of N-sale experiences to put together my top 5 tips for shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 to help you fully maximize your shopping experience.

I will be heading to Nordstrom Houston next week to cover the sale before it even begins as ambassador and icon status shoppers gain access on Thursday, July 11. Be sure to check your Nordy Club status to see if you can start shopping then too.

How to Shop The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019:

1) KEY DATES TO KNOW:

July 12th: Early access begins for Nordstrom cardholders
July 18th: LAST day of early access
July 19th: Public access begins
Sale ends August 4th!

2) GET AN EARLY START!

All the best items usually sell out within the first few days of “Early Access” so getting early access is obviously a must!! All you have to do to gain early access is sign up to be a Nordstrom Card Holder. I signed up with Nordstrom about six years ago and it was the best decision I could have ever made for my shopping habit. Sign up for Nordstrom Credit here and if you sign up by July 10th & make a purchase the day you’re approved, you’ll also receive a $60 Nordstrom Bonus Note, which is essentially a gift card to Nordstrom.

If you aren’t able to sign up until the day of the sale, not to worry because Nordstrom doesn’t require you to have you card in-hand to gain early access. Also, if you’re a Nordstrom Rewards member, you’ll get rewarded every time you shop!

3) DO YOUR RESEARCH & MAP OUT A PLAN!

When I say “do your research,” I mean study the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Catalog and make a list of everything you want for your future fall wardrobe. Then narrow the items down to your favorite pieces and create a budget according to that list. However, keep in mind that you can always return items, so don’t be afraid to go a little over your budget because once an item is gone, that’s usually it. It’s very rare that they restock the bestsellers. If it happens to you though, don’t lose hope because remember that other people return things too.

4) SHOP ONLINE!

You don’t live near a Nordstrom? No problem! Neither do I! Fortunately, the best way to shop Anniversary Sale is online because it allows you easily navigate all of the sale items and categories. Plus why would you get dressed and leave the house when you can everything in your pajamas on the couch! LOL

Additionally, their online shipping and return policy is amazing because they offer both free shipping and returns. So you’ve got nothing to lose! Plus I’m heading to Houston for the sale to do all of the leg work for you!

Haute Off The Rack 2019 Spring Home Tour

Hey everyone and Happy Monday! As promised, today I am sharing my 2019 spring home tour. However, we aren’t quite finished with our home just yet so I will continue sharing all of the updates we make this year on the blog. We’ll start with the living room! If you saw my post in December, we recently purchased the Samsung Frame TV to hang above our mantle for a cleaner and more decorative look. The new frame tv has been a game changer because we can set it to different paintings or our own photos when the tv is off. We also just renovated our fireplace this past year from red brick to marble. The white marble really brightens up the whole room and looks great against the grey walls. Speaking of our grey walls, I get questions about the paint color all the time and it is the Sherwin Williams color match to Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter HC-172.

Clearly I love soft neutral colors with hints of blush, sage and gray. Also, the framed painting above our fireplace is actually our tv! Yes, you read that right! Our tv allows you to set it to a matte screensaver, in which you choose the piece of artwork you’d like to display and it’s the best home decor compromise my husband and I have ever made! LOL Speaking of artwork, everyone has been asking me for the name of the artist who did the painting on the wall and I actually bought it on sale for $100 from World Market! Such a steal!

The first thing people see when they walk into my house is a long entryway so I wanted to cover the walls with happy memories that reflect the rest of our home and the people we love most. I linked to my exact gallery wall design along with the individual antique silver frames I used.

A little hardware update goes a long way! We just swapped out all of the silver knobs on our kitchen drawers and cabinets with these brass bars and I feel like it has totally elevated the overall look of the kitchen! We wanted long gold handle bars, but that would have required us to drill new holes and patch and paint the old ones so this was a much easier alternative!

I love decorating my dining room with a new color scheme each season. For spring, I decided to go with blush to pull out the pops of pink in my living room and plenty of floral pieces with gold accents to make the room bright and happy. As for my oyster paintings, I had them custom made by a local Louisiana artist, @christinafontenot.
