The Jennifer Shirt Dress is comfortable, versatile and effortlessly chic, which is no surprise since it was especially designed with my Haute Off The Rack girls in mind. This dress can take you from the work week to the weekend and everything in between. It features an adjustable hidden waist tie, 3/4 sleeves, side pockets and buttons all the way down the front so you can wear it open! I made sure to choose a breathable fabric for summer that is also wrinkle resistant too. When it comes to styling the dress, wear it causally with sandals and a hat or dress it up with heels and a belt. You can even throw it over cutoff shorts and a tank for an everyday summer look. I especially love wearing it as a swim coverup! I have a feeling that the Jennifer Shirt Dress will sell out super fast so be sure to order yours today!

Sizing: Be sure to size down because Gibsonlook runs large. I am wearing the size XXS and it’s still comfortable a spacious enough to move around in. I designed the Jennifer Shirt Dress with a slight high-low hem so you can get that mini dress look in the front without worry about it being too short in the back when you bend over. The dress is also fully lined so you don’t have to worry about it being see through.

MY SIZING AND HEIGHT FOR REFERENCE:

Most people don’t realize how petite I am so and I understand that knowing my sizes can help you determine what size to get.
I am 5 ft and I wear a size 27 in high waisted jeans & smalls in leggings. I’m currently a 34B and take size XS-S in dresses and tops, small in sports bras, and XS-S in outerwear. I typically size down in Gibsonlook pieces. I’m wearing a size XXS in the Jennifer Shirt Dress.

Disclosure: I hemmed mine 1.5 inches because I’m only 5 ft, but totally not necessary.

4th of July Outfit & Party Ideas

Happy Friday friends! This time next week we’ll be kicking off the holiday weekend and gearing up for all of the 4th of July festivities. I want to make sure that you make the most of this fun summer holiday so I gathered all of my best gals to help me show you 10 different 4th of July outfits from Gibsonlook including my own latest design featuring the Jennifer Babydoll Dress in navy gingham and white paisley.

We celebrated the launch of my latest design with a fun 4th of July themed party with all of our friends and their families! Today I’m sharing all of my party ideas, recipes and decorations to share with you to hopefully inspire your own upcoming holiday plans.

The 4th of July is actually the inspiration behind the Jennifer Babydoll Dress. I wanted a cute navy gingham print mini dress that I could wear off the shoulder to a 4th of July party and other summer events so I partnered with Gibsonlook to create the perfect babydoll dress.

The Jennifer Babydoll Dress is fun, flirty and so chic with a smocked bust and statement puff sleeves. I designed it so that the puff sleeves can be worn on or off the shoulder and both ways look so flattering on the arms and neckline. I know this will be a go-to dress for parties, summer trips, date nights, wedding festivities and so much more. It’s especially perfect for the 4th of July weekend coming up next weekend.

Sizing: Be sure to size down! I’m wearing the sz XXS and it fits perfectly. The bust is smocked so it’s super stretchy! No zippers! These are all of our best friends that we’ve grown up with and now our kids will get to grow up together too.

The American flag on our front porch is a size 3 x 5 and we had to buy the tangle free spinning pole and mounting brackets separately.

Easy & Delicious 4th of July Cake Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 roll of Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough

1 container of Vanilla icing (cool whip is also delicious too if you keep your cake refrigerated)

1 container of fresh blueberries

1 large container of fresh strawberries

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 and roll out your cookie dough onto a small rectangle cookie sheet

Step 2: Bake for 20 minutes & slice your strawberries while you wait

Step 3: Let your cookie cake cool or put in freezer to speed up the process

Step 4: Icing your cake with your vanilla frosting

Step 5: Decorate your cake in an American flag pattern with your blueberries and strawberries. Be sure to keep in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.

| 4th of July Favors for the Kids |

I filled mini tin buckets with bubbles, red, white and blue beach balls, a small American flag and a patriotic pinwheel to entertain the kids. I used chalkboard stickers to label the buckets with all of their names for a personal touch. The bubbles kept them happy and entertained along with the Jump n’ Slide bouncer that we blew for the kids to play on. I also always pull out basketball, golf, T-Ball, and corn hole for the kids to play with outdoors.

4th of July Charcuterie Board Ingredients:

Meats & Cheeses: Salami, Prosciutto, Blueberry goat cheese, Gouda, Manchego, Boursin

Fruit: Strawberries, Cherries, Blueberries, Grapes, Raspberries

Sweets: White chocolate covered pretzels, Chocolate covered almonds, Red, white & blue M&M’s, Hershey’s Cookies & Cream chocolate

For Dipping:

Nur’s Kitchen Hummus (aka the best!)

3 different types/shapes of crackers

*** We forgot to include cherry tomatoes & red bell peppers for dipping in the hummus! It’s also so good if you sprinkle feta & chopped tomatoes on top of your hummus!

How adorable is this luxury picnic setup by @partyteepeezz? We used a bunch of my lanterns and decor from At Home Stores and World Market.

All of our outdoor furnture is from World Market a few years ago. The American flag on the back patio is a size 5 x 8 and we hung it with command hooks.

We made these s’mores goodie bags for the kids with clear treat bags and ribbon and filled them with 2 graham crackers, 2 mini Hershey chocolate bars and 2 large marshmallows. Perfect little summer treat!

I absolutely love the smocked midi dress that I designed and launched in April with Gibsonlook, but thought it would be a nice change to go for a mini dress length for the hottest months of the year. I made sure to choose a breathable fabric for summer that is also wrinkle resistant too so you can just roll it up in your bag and put it on the second you unpack it. When it comes to styling the dress, wear it with sandals and a hat for daytime or throw on some heels and statement earrings to dress it up. You can also pair it with sneakers for an easy casual look. My favorite way to style it is to play up the boho-chic vibes by pairing it with a wide brim hat, layered necklaces and hoop earrings. Oh and the white is perfect for brides too!

You may recognize this dress from Beck’s first birthday party. I wore the first sample of the Jennifer Babydoll Dress for his BBQ themed birthday party and I got such great feedback from you all so I’m super excited to finally launch this dress today.

Design details:

I designed it with a cinched bust for a flattering neckline and plenty of stretch so you don’t have to deal with zippers or sucking in. I also made sure to choose a super lightweight fabric in a mini dress length to give you legs for day for summer. My favorite part is the option to wear the puff sleeves on or off the shoulder and the adjustable tie on the cinched bust.

It’s also super bump friendly because their is plenty of room though the body of the dress. ***Full disclosure about the length: I’m hemmed mine 1.5 inches. Totally not necessary, but I’m only 5 ft and I like my mini dresses extra short.***

The white color is fully lined though the body so you don’t have to worry about it being see through. However, you do need to wear a nude bra or nipple covers with the white dress because the bust isn’t lined.

Why You Need Walmart+ in Your Life

We just celebrated Beck’s first birthday, which was a huge milestone for all three of us. Like most moms, I wanted to do everything possible to make Beck’s birthday feel super special even though it’s probably the only birthday he’ll never remember. We got basketball, golf, T-Ball, a bowling game and a Jump n’ Slide bouncer, which was a huge hit at the party. They were the perfect big boy gifts for Beck for everyone to use at the birthday party. In fact, quite a few of our friends ordered the same bouncer before they even left the party! It’s the perfect size for toddlers and super easy to inflate.
