Good Morning readers and Happy Valentine’s Day! If you saw yesterday’s post (Dress To Impress This Valentine’s Day: Casual Style), then you saw how I styled this Kate Spade graphic tee for a casual Valentine’s Day date with a pair of distressed denim and a pale pink jacket. Today, I styled it with a bight fun midi skirt by Bel & Beau and my Kate Spade beau bag for a fancy date. I love the unexpected twist of the pink midi skirt paired with the graphic “Dress To Impress” tee. It’s a sweet and elegant look while also bright and fun, which is perfect for a Valentine’s Day date with your sweetie or even your friends.
What are your thoughts on “the midi” skirt? Some of you might be thinking that you can’t pull it off because you’re too short, but let me remind you that I am only 5 ft tall!! So being short is no excuse! I am loving the midi skirt trend as well as the ball gown skirt trend too! They look great paired with graphic tees as well as cropped tops and sleeveless sweaters. Good Morning readers, I know that usually on Valentine’s day people like to dress all fancy for their dates, but what if your date is casual? How do you dress up a pair of jeans? For my casual V-day look, I stayed simple with a graphic tee and distressed denim. Then I dressed up the outfit with a pair of heels, a pale pink Rebecca Taylor jacket and magenta embossed clutch by Gigi New York. For jewelry, I added a pair of the new Kendra Scott Alex earrings in white pearl with a few rings and bangles. Super easy and yet still so chic!
Also, can we talk about how amazing YSL lipstick is? I had never tried until recently and I swear it is a life-changer!! It’s so smooth and soft on my lips and the color lasts for hours. If you’ve been wanting to try a new lipstick, I highly recommend trying YSL!

Good Morning readers, it’s back to Louisiana for me today. I’m so bummed that today is my last day of New York Fashion Week and it’s time to say goodbye to this amazing city. Thanks for following along with my fashion week adventures via social media. I’m not looking forward to going back to my every day life after this six day vacation, but I can’t say that I won’t mind warmer temps. If I were to wear this outfit here in NY I would have about five more layers and I’d still be cold! These Sorel short boots were great to have for my trip though because they’re waterproof for the snow plus they’re roomy enough for this thick comfy socks. They are not insulated which is great for me because I can wear them in Louisiana year round as rain boots and they won’t get too hot.
The last thing I want to mention is the Sole Society Sia Bag. This bag is perfect to use as your carryon bag at the airport because it fits your laptop, beauty essentials, a pair of shoes and change of clothes. It also works great as an overnight bag or work tote women who work in the office. Oh and did I mention that it’s only $69? Super cute. Functional. Affordable. Done!
