Three Ways To Help You Stay Fit And Motivated During The Holidays
Good morning everyone, today I’ve partnered up with Finish Line to share a review on the new Adidas Alpha Bounce running shoes along with three ways to help you stay fit and motivated during the holidays. I know I haven’t posted a ‘Motivational Monday’ post in a while, but I figured we could all use a little pep talk this week with Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season coming up this Thursday. I know it’s hard to not let Thanksgiving dinner and holiday treats get the best of you, but at least you can always work off those extra calories by hitting the gym. The trick is to keep yourself motivated throughout the season! Check out what keeps me motivated to workout below.
Three Ways to Help You Stay Fit and Motivated During the Holidays:
1) Nothing motivates me more than a new pair of running shoes and some cute activewear! The Adidas AlphaBounce running shoes are super comfortable and cushiony. Plus they look super sleek with my activewear looks. Not to mention that they’re currently on sale! Just wait until you the price in your cart on FinishLine.com. For size reference, I ordered the size 6.5, which is my normal size. However, I’ve heard that for running shoes, you should always go a half size down because you want them to be nice and snug for extra support when running. With that being said, I could have easily gone with the size 6, but I don’t mind the 6.5, but with a thicker sock.

2) Give yourself “doable” weekly workout goals. For example, if you have a busy work schedule, don’t give yourself a goal of hitting the gym five times a week. Instead of setting yourself up for potential failure, try and commit to three days a week and maybe an extra long walk with the dog or your workout buddy, which brings me to my last and most important tip!
3) Recruit a workout a partner so that you have someone else to hold you accountable for your workouts. Plus it’s so much nicer to workout with a friend versus working out alone. I’m much more likely to get myself in the gym or stay longer at the gym if I’m working out with a buddy. I also love going on early morning walks or bike rides with my neighbor.
Bonus Tip: Make a deal with yourself that every time you put on active wear clothes for the day, you actually do something active instead of just running your errands while rocking the “athleisure” trend! Don’t worry, I’m guilty of this too!

Fall Trends To Try: Velvet Tanks, Dresses & Accessories
Hi everyone and Happy Friday! Next on my list of trends to try this fall is: velvet tanks, dresses and accessories. They’re perfect for dressing up during the holiday season or for adding a hint of texture to your wardrobe. I’m sure you all remember this velvet tank that I wore to the Britney Spears concert in Vegas and posted on Instagram a couple of weeks back. The one you all went crazy over! Well, today is your lucky day because not only is it Friday and payday, but also because my velvet tank has been restocked in six different colors! Yes, you read that right. Six! And you better believe that I will most definitely be purchasing another one in another color. I’m currently trying to decide between green and the grey, but who knows. I may end up with all size different tanks! Just kidding! Kinda… What color are you going for?

Fall Trends To Try: The Lace Tank
Hi everyone, second on my list of fall trends to try this week is the lace tank! I also love velvet tanks too, but I’ll touch more on that in another blog post. I actually own this exact lace tank in four different colors because I’m that obsessed with it. I’m not going to lie…they’re slightly expensive considering how little amount of fabric it is, but I get such a good use out of them year round that it makes the price totally worth it. They’re also super flattering and add the perfect feminine touch to your more edgy outfits. I like how the romantic vibe from the lace offsets tailored and sophisticated pieces like this double breast vest. The silk and lace mixed together gives the whole outfit a racier feel.

Fall Trends To Try: The Lace Up Sweater
Hi everyone, today I’m sharing a simple, everyday look for fall featuring one of my favorite trends this season: the lace up sweater! I love how a lace up detail adds a hint of edge any piece of clothing, shoe or accessory, but I especially love how it gives a chunky sweater a totally different vibe. You could almost even consider it kind of sexy, which is funny since chunky sweaters are rarely ever labeled sexy. The lace up sweater that I’m wearing in today’s post totally elevates the whole look and adds an unexpected twist your every day fall look.
