Dominican Republic Vacation Review

Hi everyone, I hope you all enjoyed the 4th of July holiday! Today, I’m finally sharing my Dominican Republic Vacation Review! As most of you know from previous posts, I recently stayed with my family at the Paradisus Palma Real Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. If you follow me on Snapchat, then you got to see how absolutely beautiful the resort and beach views are during my little daily tours! Not only is the place breathtaking, but the customer service is impeccable and the food is surprisingly delicious. I say surprisingly because every time I hear all-inclusive, I immediately think mediocre, but these restaurants far exceeded my expectations! Even the buffet selection didn’t disappoint. My favorite restaurants that we dined at are: Fuego, Vento, the Hibachi restaurant and one of their VIP restaurants called Olio.

Your Questions Answers:

Were there any iguanas? I was actually pretty relieved that I didn’t see any! Not to say that there are no iguanas in Punta Cana, but I didn’t hear of any on the resort grounds.

Are the rooms nice? Y’all….were the rooms nice?! My room was maybe one of my favorite parts! I’m kind of big fan of room service and they offered 24 hour room service! I’m also a huge fan of relaxing baths and let me tell you that you could probable fit 8 people in that bathtub. That sounds weird when I read that aloud, but you get what I mean! The tub was huge and had a perfect new of the TV! Now that’s what I call vacation! lol I literally took 3 baths a day!

Any complaints about the service or the resort itself? Fortunately, we didn’t run into any issues except I will warn you that I got attacked by mosquitos! So bring bug spray! Also, when I say it’s hot in Punta Cana, I don’t think y’all realize quite how hot! I don’t think I ever cooled down, but most of the time you’re enjoying yourself so much that you forget about the heat!

Did you go on any excursions, do you have any recommendations? Ok.. so I’m not really the best person to ask because I’m a big scared cat and won’t scuba dive or even snorkel so I didn’t participate in any of those events with family. However, the resort did offer really fun activities like paddle board fitness classes and underwater spin classes! I did the underwater spin class and had a blast while also getting in a work out. Speaking of working out, they have a fantastic fitness facility in which I managed to hit up every day that I was there! I mean you’ve got to when the food is that good!

Striped Tunic For Travel

Happy Saturday everyone! We finally made it to the long weekend, but before we get to partying and stuffing our faces with BBQ chicken and hot dogs, I’ve got one more look for you! A summer holiday travel look of course! I’m actually not doing any traveling for the 4th of July, but I recently wore this striped tunic while recently traveling to Dominican Republic. I wanted to share it with you because it’s such a great year round wardrobe staple and I especially always wear it or pack it when traveling in the summer.

Size Reference: I am about 5 ft and normally wear a size small (2-4) and I wearing a small in this striped tunic. Since I am fairly petite in height, I can get away with wearing this striped tunic as a dress. However, some of you taller gals may need to layer a pair of shorts beneath to help avoid any potential embarrassing moments.

Travel Bag Reviews

Mark & Graham Leather All Nighter: Not only is the All Nighter a gorgeous leather bag, but it’s also a durable and extremely well made. Plus you can have it personalized with your initials and it comes quite a few colors with matching toiletry kits and bag tags.

Bric’s 21″ Spinner: This spinner trunk is just as beautiful in person. However, I think the price is a bit steep when it comes to checked luggage considering how bags are treated in baggage claim. BUT I do think the carry on size is worth the price for someone who travels on a regular basis.

MZ Wallace Metro Backpack: I literally never leave town without this thing! The Metro Backpack is super lightweight and easy on the shoulders with plenty of pockets for origination. Oh we can’t forget about the whole convenient hands-free aspect of carrying a backpack!

Blue Floral Maxi Dress

Good morning readers, we’re almost to the three day weekend, but before we get there I’ve got one more blue beauty for you. Yes, another blue floral maxi dress. I know I’ve literally only featured blue looks on the blog for the past three days, but what can I say? I love me some summertime blues and this blue floral maxi dress is no exception! I came across this floral maxi dress while looking through ModCloth’s newest arrivals and my eyes were immediately drawn to it. However, I had no idea how much I would truly love it until I tried it on. The colors are so beautiful and vibrant and the empire waistline flatters any figure!

For sizing reference, I’m wearing the small and I’m usually a 2-4. I tried on the XS first because I’ve been working out a lot lately, but yea, I’m definitely not there yet! LOL I couldn’t even zip it halfway. So I recommend sticking to your normal size for this dress.

Blue Off The Shoulder Dress

Hi everyone, if you loved this blue off the shoulder dress that I posted a while back on Instagram, then you’ll be happy know that it has finally restocked and the dress will ship on July 12! I wore this off the shoulder beauty about a month ago and it immediately sold out so I’m glad I finally get to post it again knowing that you’ll be able to purchase! So hurry and order before it sells out again!

It’s the perfect summer dress that you can easily dress up or down. As you can see in these photos I dressed up my look with some lace-up heels, a pale pink chain bag and plenty of gold Julie Vos jewels. However, the dress looks equally stylish with a pair of flat sandals and a more casual cross body bag! I even thought a about pairing a belt with it, which I think would look so cute!
