Sweet Southern Charm

Just to give you a little background, A Pinch of Lovely and I have teamed up with Kendra Scott to curate our favorite jewels from her spring 2014 collection. Since we’re from Louisiana, we chose Mardi Gras as our first theme to give you a little taste of New Orleans. This time around we thought we’d lure you in with our sweet southern charm in shades of blush, white, ivory and teal. We can’t wait for the new Kendra Scott store to open in Baton Rouge on Perkins Rowe soon!

Good Morning readers, what are your thoughts on the “shoetie”? Do we love it? I know I do! I have a feeling that I’m going to get a good use out of my Sole Society shoeties this spring! I’m a tad obsessed with the idea of a sassy summer bootie with laser cutouts. Just think how cute these shoes would look paired with a sweet summer dress!! Shoeties will give your spring looks a slight hint of edge. Plus you know that cognac color goes with everything from black and white to colorful prints and patterns! So a neutral colored shoetie for spring is pretty much a no-brainer? Right!

Good Morning readers and Happy St. Patrick’s Day. I hope you all had a lucky weekend. If not, maybe you’ll get lucky today! I know there are a lot of colors going on in this dress, but if you look closely you’ll see some green mixed in there. This printed little mini dress is by Show Me Your Mumu, which is one of my favorite brands to wear in the spring and summer. They make trendy and oversized, lightweight pieces of clothing in the most the creative and colorful prints, which is perfect for our hot and sticky weather down in the south. Good Morning readers, I was going to share my healthy hair secrets with you today, but that will still have to wait until Monday due to my Wi-Fi problems the other night! Sorry about that! Instead, I’m going to tell you why you need these light-wash Mother jeans for spring. First of all, they are super flattering and right on trend with the distressed details. They’re also crazy comfortable and cropped so you don’t have to get them hemmed, which is a big plus for me since I always have to get every pair of pants hemmed! Get ready to see these jeans on repeat over the next few weeks!
