Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I went to Red Dress Run in New Orleans for the first time this past Saturday and it was quite the experience. To say that it was hot outside is an understatement….It was blazing hot, scorching hot, unbearably hot! Maybe I’m a tad dramatic, but I just needed to express awful the heat was to you! Other than that, I had a great time!
About this outfit: The top I’m wearing here is actually a Piko tunic-like top from KiKi La Rue that is long enough to be worn with leggings. However, since I loved how the neutral color looked with my new distressed jeans, I found a way to make it work. Since the top was so long and covered all of the cool detailing on the jeans, I just tied the back in a knot and tucked in. Then I pulled out some of the material to make it look like a normal shirt! Also, in case you’ve never tried on a Piko top before, I highly recommend it! They super comfortable and perfect to wear with leggings in the Fall! Kiki La Rue has a great selection of them in a variety of different colors and styles!
In case you’re wondering what should be on your radar for Fall, dark distressed denim is all the rage! My two favorite pairs are the Paige Indio Zip Ultra Skinny in Ramone Destructed and the J Brand Ankle Mid Rise Skinny in Blue Mercy. I know it’s still way too hot out to be thinking about fall clothing and shoes, but it doesn’t hurt to start picking up a few basic transitional pieces like jeans and ankle boots to help you slowly start preparing your fall wardrobe.

Good Morning readers and Happy Friday! I’ve recently added all of these items to my “haute” list! Especially the Fashionably Late and Shoe Addict tees because if you know me at all you know that killer shoes are my weakness and that it’s physically impossible for me to ever be on time. I blame my mother for that one. We just have no concept of time!
As for the acrylic ring displays, they’re my new obsession when it comes to organizing my jewelry! I love being able to see all of my rings at the same time in an organized fashion. Last but not least, these rope bracelets by The Ropes of Maine are the perfect summer accessory with just a pair of cutoffs and a tee or an easy summer romper.
