Your Favorite Printed Romper

Good Morning readers, here is the printed romper you’ve all been waiting for! When I initially saw the Blakely romper in this wave print, I was hesitant to try it on because there were so many colors mixed into the print. I’m so glad I slipped it on though because I ended up loving it! Isn’t it weird how things can look totally different once you try them on? That’s why I always give things a go even if I’m not 100% feeling it on the hanger! You’d be surprise how many things you’ll fall in love with that you didn’t like on the hanger, and how many things you’ll hate that you thought you were obsessed with on the hanger!
As you can see in today’s post, I styled this printed romper two different ways. First, I wore it with my peep toe Dolce Vita booties, the Jenn Bucket Bag and a simple necklace for a day time look. Then I swapped out the booties and bucket bag for ankle strap pumps and a textured clutch. Lastly, I added a beautiful gold statement necklace to completely transition the outfit into a night time look. I think this romper would also look awesome with a pair of black open toe ankle strap pumps for an edgier night time outfit as well. What do you think? How would you wear this romper?

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing another designer swimwear look with Orchid Boutique from my recent girl’s trip to Laguna Beach, CA. I know I wrote about the amazing Southern California weather in my last post, but really though…it was absolutely perfect! I’m really missing that bright sun with a slight breeze and those loud crashing waves right about now as I sit here writing my post in rainy and muggy Louisiana.
Anyway, about this swimwear look…I am loving everything fringe this season including bags, jewelry, shoes, coverups and even clothing, which is exactly why I chose this fringe kimono from Orchid Boutique. It looks super cute over my L Space wrap top and high waist bottoms, and it even looks cute with cutoff shorts and a tee too! Orchid Boutique carries a wide range of designer swimwear, resort wear, shoes and accessories so they have you covered in all areas of beach style!
Did you notice anything different looking about my accessories? Perhaps some new additions? Over the next few posts, you’ll start to notice my new obsession with tassel bracelets and flash tattoos! These metallic flash tatts are just so cool and Orchid Boutique offers a killer selection of jewelry tattoos! Make sure to stock up before it’s too late. I tried to get them so many times last year, but they were always sold out everywhere so this time I decided to buy them earlier in the season. They look awesome with swimwear plus they’re great for festival season too. What do you think? Will you be rocking flash tatts this spring and summer?

Good Morning readers, how beautiful are my new white pintuck shams and duvet cover from Crane & Canopy? If you saw my Instagram post this morning then you know that I never make my bed, but I think this gorgeous new bedding deserves a little fluffing each day! Don’t you agree?
Anyway, I’m sure you’re wondering why I am randomly posting about my bedding on my blog. I’m sharing my personal room and bedding with you today in honor of National Sleep Week. Yep, that’s a thing! I can totally understand why though considering that sleep is vital to our everyday lives.
Unfortunately, I am one of those people who struggle to get enough sleep each night due to the fact that I am a true night owl. I used to not understand why I always worked more productively and efficiently at night instead of during the day, but I finally realized that it’s because there are no other distractions, well except for Friends on Nick at Night! All of my “real” friends are asleep after 10 pm so there is no one calling or texting me to talk, grab lunch or play at Homegoods. So once the clock reaches 9 pm, my alter ego kicks in and I’m ready to vacuum, clean out the fridge, organize my sock drawer, dust the entire house and even organize all of Blake’s stuff too! While all of this productivity sounds like a good thing, it’s also very bad for me because I still have to wake up early in the morning to make it to my fitness classes, run errands, write my blog posts, prepare for my photo shoots and participate in meetings and phone calls.
I’ve tried forcing myself to go to sleep, but then I just end up laying there in bed staring at the ceiling while feeling like I’m wasting valuable time! Weird, I know, but it’s like if I’m not tired I might as well be doing something useful instead of staring into space, right? Wrong! I’ve learned that it’s better for your body to rest even if your mind is racing because you’ll eventually train your body to fall asleep. I’ve also learned that it helps to turn the TV off at least an hour before you plan to go to sleep. On top of that, I recommend avoiding reading, writing, typing and texting in your bed so that your body and mind will learn to only associate sleep with your bed instead work. Lastly, I also suggest creating a reasonable to-do list at the beginning of each day. Make sure to check off each task as you go. Then at the end of the day, you’ll feel more accomplished instead of feeling like you still have so much more to do.
3 More Tips to Help You Rid of Your Night Owl Syndrome:
1) Before you go to sleep, think of something that you can look forward to in the morning to get you excited to fall asleep to make the time go by faster.
2) Don’t drink any caffeine past 3 pm.
3) Try a simple yoga or meditation routine to help you relax before bed.
