Fall Travel Outfit

Hi everyone, I just landed in Las Vegas for a fun girl’s trip at the Venetian Hotel, but before I head off today enjoy the day, I wanted to share this fall travel outfit with you. I’ve noticed that you all seem to really enjoy my travel outfits on Instagram so I thought I would start posting more of those looks here on my blog. On top of that, all of the travel outfits I post are also great everyday wear.

I’m not going to lie… I did not look this put together for my 6 am flight today, but when I have more time to get dressed before flights I like to look more presentable. When it comes to putting a fall travel outfit together, I always make sure it includes 3 main components: comfortable jeans with pockets, closed toe shoes (with an extra pair of socks in my bag) and some type of outerwear.  I tried traveling in leggings for a while, but then I realized that I like having a pockets for random items so I went back to jeans. However, you can always go for a vest or jacket with pockets if you’d rather leggings! I highly suggest adding a vest to pull your whole look together and keeping a sweater in your bag so you don’t get to hot running around the airport etc!

Striped Tunic For Travel

Happy Saturday everyone! We finally made it to the long weekend, but before we get to partying and stuffing our faces with BBQ chicken and hot dogs, I’ve got one more look for you! A summer holiday travel look of course!  I’m actually not doing any traveling for the 4th of July, but I recently wore this striped tunic while recently traveling to Dominican Republic. I wanted to share it with you because it’s such a great year round wardrobe staple and I especially always wear it or pack it when traveling in the summer.

Scroll through this post to see how I styled this striped tunic while traveling to Dominican Republic last month. Also, make sure to read the size reference and travel bag review and the bottom of the post.

Size Reference: I am about 5 ft and normally wear a size small (2-4) and I wearing a small in this striped tunic. Since I am fairly petite in height, I can get away with wearing this striped tunic as a dress. However, some of you taller gals may need to layer a pair of shorts beneath to help avoid any potential embarrassing moments.

Travel Bag Reviews

Mark & Graham Leather All Nighter: Not only is the All Nighter a gorgeous leather bag, but it’s also a durable and extremely well made. Plus you can have it personalized with your initials and it comes quite a few colors with matching toiletry kits and bag tags.

Bric’s 21″ Spinner: This spinner trunk is just as beautiful in person. However, I think the price is a bit steep when it comes to checked luggage considering how bags are treated in baggage claim. BUT I do think the carry on size is worth the price for someone who travels on a regular basis.

MZ Wallace Metro Backpack: I literally never leave town without this thing! The Metro Backpack is super lightweight and easy on the shoulders with plenty of pockets for origination. Oh we can’t forget about the whole convenient hands-free aspect of carrying a backpack!

The Best Travel Jeans & Bags

Since I’ve been traveling a lot lately and have quite a few more trips coming up, I thought I would tell you about the best travel jeans and bags I own. If I could have it my way, I would honestly travel in my pajamas and a robe. Unfortunately, wearing your pajamas in public is socially unacceptable. With that being said, I always go for the next best thing, which for me is legging jeans and a comfy long sleeve shirt. I also usually wear tennis shoes, but I could barely fit anything more into my suit cases so I just a wore a pair of the flatform sandals that I planned on packing. That’s because I tend to overpack, but I highly suggest rocking tennis shoes or slip on sneakers like these–>Somers Slip On Sneakers

Back to the best travel jeans! My favorite pair is hands down, the AG Legging Ankle jeans, which is also available in white too. They fit amazingly and hold their stretch for everyday comfort without actually stretching out.

Travel Bags: Bric’s ‘Bellagio’ Carry On <–SALE Alert! 30% OFF! (love this carry on wheelie too!) | West 57th Weekend Duffle c/o Henri Bendel | St. Anne Tote c/o Barrington Gifts

Travel Bags: If you love my Bric’s ‘Bellagio’ Carry On, but you’ve been holding out because of the steep price, you’ll be happy to know that it’s currently 30% OFF! I also love the West 57th 360 Wheelie especially because of the front pockets and guess what? It’s currently $100 OFF! Speaking of Henri Bendel, how pretty is the orange West 57th Weekend Duffle? At first I was hesitant of the bright color as opposed to a more neutral color, but then I realized I how much I enjoy a pop of color when traveling and plus it’s easy to spot in a crowd! If you’re looking for more of a budget buy, I highly recommend the Vera Bradley Grand Traveler! The shoulder strap is nice and wide with a slight cushion so it doesn’t dig into your shoulder after carrying your bag for long periods of time.

Tote Bags: I love LOVE LOVE this Barrington Gifts St. Anne tote especially because you can personalize it with your initials and fun colors. I also love the Gigi New York Tori tote, MZ Wallace Metro Tote and Metro Backpack.
