I wanted the tablescape to feel warm and welcoming so I incorporated lots of romantic candles and made sure everyone had a name card on their seat so they would feel welcome in my home.

When it comes to hosting an intimate Friendsgiving, be sure to create your guest list first and send out an invite to everyone a couple weeks out to begin planning your menu so you can start prepping the dishes 2-3 days before your party.  Decide on the dishes you’re going to cook and the items you’re going to order and make sure you order them with plenty enough time. It’s also fun to create a menu with your friends and host a pot luck where everyone brings a dish. Plus it makes prep time much easier.

Blake and I enjoy creating the menu and cooking everything ourselves with a little help from my mom and his grandmother.  The only thing we don’t know how to do nor did we have the time is how to cook a turkey so we ordered an already cooked turkey and ham and then made everything else ourselves. You can check out the recipes we used below.

thanksgiving stuffing

Stuffing | Blake’s grandmother came over & made her personal recipe with me. I can’t think of a more perfect time to learn your grandmother’s recipes than during the holidays. We had so much fun making new recipes we found online, but it’s also nice to use a family recipe and learn how to make it so you can pass it down to your own kids. I suggest reaching out to family member for a stuffing recipe to make sure your keeping some family traditions.

Sweet Potato Casserole | https://addapinch.com/sweet-potato-casserole-pecan-topping/ (My mom helped me make this dish and she used half the sugar and half the butter and it still tasted amazing.

Pumpkin Squares | I decided not to make pumpkin squares for our Freindsgiving because had plenty of pies, but they’re so delicious I thought I would share my uncles recipe with you anyway!

  1. 1 large can of pumpkin puree
  2. 3 eggs
  3. 1 12 oz can of evaporated milk
  4. 1 cup of sugar
  5. 1 tsp. cinnamon
  6. 1 box of Duncan Hines Butter Cake Mix
  7. 1 Cup of chopped pecans (a little more is ok)
  8. 2 sticks of melted butter (1 cup)

Icing:

  1. 1 small Cool Whip
  2. 1 cup of sugar
  3. 1 8 oz. Philadelphia  Cream Cheese

Mix pumpkin puree, 3 eggs, evaporated milk, 1 cup of sugar and cinnamon. Stir until all blended. Pour liquid mixture into a 13 x 9 inch pan lined with wax paper. Then sprinkle the box of cake mix on top. Sprinkle pecans next. Pour melted butter on top of pecans & cake mix and bake for one hour at 350 degrees. After baked, let cool ten minutes. Then turn the cake over but do not take the wax paper off until completely cooled. Mix one cup of sugar and Philedelphia Cream Cheese. After blended, add 1 small container of cool whip. Ice the whole cake and refrigerate. Cut into squares and keep refrigerated until serving.

How I Cozied Up My Living Room For Fall With At Home

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. I know it’s a been a little while since my last blog post, but I took some time off after my birthday before busy season begins. Then of course right when I was ready to get back to work Blake and I were struck with a stomach bug. Fortunately, I’m back in the office today and I’m sharing how I cozied up my living room for fall with my local At Home store.

At Home carries a wide variety of furniture pieces, bedding, home accessories and decorative objects at affordable prices. They’ve got you covered from your kitchen and your living room to all your bedrooms and bathrooms. They even carry outdoor furniture and accessories too. Scroll through this post to see how I spruced up my living room for fall with At Home.

The first aisle I always like to visit at my local At Home store is the throw pillow aisle because throw pillows are like stuffed animals for adult women. LOL Not only do I find throw pillows lovable, but they’re also the easiest way to give your living room or bedding a little update. Changing up your pillows can shift the whole look of the room.

If you follow along with Haute Off The Rack regularly, then you know my living room was super bright and colorful this past spring and summer. So I decided to shift gears back into neutral with these grey velvet pillows and textured throws for Fall. I think they will transition nicely into holiday too.

decorative pumpkin

After passing through the pillow aisle, I always like to stop and and admire all of the decorative little objects like these pretty little pumpkins. I made sure to grab two with each of our initials to place on our mantel. I even came across these beautiful ‘gather’ sign that I placed in the center of the mantle surrounded by greenery and pumpkins.

I don’t know if it’s because travel is such huge part of my life, but I always gravitate towards decorative globes. I already have two displayed in my home, but when I spotted this one at my local At Home store, I knew I needed him too.

Last but not least, I scooped up some lanterns, mini hay bales and candles from At Home before picking up some pumpkins and mums at my local feed and seed store. The lanterns and hay bales added the perfect touches to my front porch pumpkin display for fall.

Friendsgiving Party Idea

I’m so excited to share my second Friendsgiving party idea with you. In case you missed my first post, you can view it here–> How To Host A Friendsgiving Bonfire

My last post was for a fun and cozy outdoor party, but this post is about how to host an intimate Friendsgiving party inside your home. It’s the perfect type of gathering to host in place of your monthly (or) weekly wine night.

thanksgiving-table-setting-ideas

Friendsgiving Party Checklist:

Snacks (I recommend something sweet, something salty and something fresh) | Wine | Champagne | Serving Trays | Serving Stands | Serving Utensils Plates | Snack Bowls | Wine Glasses | Champagne Glasses | Bar Tools | Linens | Table Runner or Table Cloth | Candles | Pumpkins | Coasters | Fresh Flowers | Table Centerpiece | Coffee & of course plenty of friends!

Fun Snack Idea: Have all of your guests bring their favorite homemade dip and/or dessert and print out their recipes to exchange with everyone. It’s the perfect thing to do right before the holidays so that you have plenty of appetizer dish and dessert options to bring to parties! Plus who doesn’t want to stuff their faces with dip, chips, dessert and wine all night! Am I right?! If you decide to go this route, I would add additional snack table to your set up to avoid a cluttered dining table.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re able to take some of this Friendsgiving inspiration and use it for your own party. Also, in case you’re wondering what my favorite dip recipes are, you can check them out below. Not only are they the most delicious and crowd pleasing dips ever, but they each take under five minutes to make and only call for three ingredients each!

Chili Cheese Dip:

What You Need:

1 block of cream cheese | 1 can of beanless chili | 1 bag of shredded cheddar cheese | glass square pan (if using microwave) | Frito Scoop Chips

Directions:

1)Spread your cream cheese evenly on the bottom of the square pan

2) Pour the can of beanless chili over the cream cheese

3) Sprinkle a thick layer of shredded cheddar cheese on top

4) If using microwave, heat for 2 minutes, let sit for one minute and then heat for 2 more minutes

5) Serve with Frito Scoop chips and enjoy!

Ranch Rotel Dip:

What You Need:

1 large container of sour cream | 1 packet of ranch seasoning | 1 can of Original Rotel

Directions:

1) Empty our sour cream into a mixing bowl and stir in ranch seasoning until completely mixed. I usually add half the the package of seasoning, taste the dip and then add more as I go to avoid over-seasoning the dip.

2) Drain the can of Rotel and stir into the ranch dip. I usually use a little over half the can!

3) Serve with Ruffles or Wavy Lays and eat your heart out!

Actually, there are a lot of things in life that I wish I could do by just clicking a button. Well, it’s super simple and it also makes for a sweet and thoughtful holiday gift too.  On top of that, if you want to have a piece of artwork framed, they’ll email you a prepaid shipping label to ship your artwork to them.

Hi everyone and Happy 1st day of November. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Halloween. I’m so excited to share this recent personalized addition to my home with you just in time for the holidays. Whether you’re looking to update your home before inviting guests over or if you’re already looking for holiday gift ideas, make sure to add Framebridge to your list. I especially love the Mandalay thin gold bamboo custom frames, which is what I have displayed in the photos above. I only used one styled frame to create my gallery wall, but you can mix and match by choosing from 29 different types of frames. I love creating gallery walls in my home to give it a happy and cozy feel, but you can also choose to frame just one large piece of art work or even a small photo to complete an area of your home.

P.S. A huge thank you to my best friend, Haley Costa for helping me create this gallery wall! I pretty much just stood there with the duck tape, hammer, nails and measuring tape in hand for whenever she might need them! lol
