Outfit: The Curfew Bell-Bottom jeans (Mother Denim from The Mix), White blouse (Joie from The Mix),  Aqua bandeaux (Frock Candy), Platform shoes (Charles by Charles David, Thank you to Park Lane), Fringe purse (LuLu’s)

Jewelry: Arrow necklace (Thank you to the Cuckoo’ Nest), Suede Penny Lariat Necklace (Thank to Samanca), Rings (Banana Republic) Ivory beaded bracelet (Thank you to Femme Fatale),  Michael Kors watch (old similar here), Pyramid Studded Cuff (Style Tryst from The Mix)

Good Morning readers! Let me start off by saying that when it comes to denim, Mother knows best.  No, I’m not talking about my own mother I’m talking about designers Tim Kaeding, former designer for 7 for All Mankind, and Lela Tillem, former president of sales and marketing at Citizens for Humanity who collaborated together to create this killer brand.  These are the most amazingly comfortable, yet flattering pair of jeans I have ever worn!  That is probably because Tim Kaeding has been experimenting with materials that feel like cashmere, but look like denim for the past two years.  What a genius! Right? I don’t know about you all, but some mornings I wake up and want to wear nothing more than a pair of comfy yoga pants.  Kaeding has acknowledged this and says that in order “for jeans to make a comeback, technology has to step in” (http://www.vogue.com).  That explains why it doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing real jeans.  However, Mother doesn’t just pride on texture, the designer duo continually develop new fits.  I am going to stop here because I have a Mother Knows Best Part 2 coming soon and will finish telling you all about this to-die-for brand.

The Tourist

Photos by: Max Zoghbi

Outfit: BCBG Power Bandage skirt in Aqua (Thank you to Femme Fatale), Lace crochet tank (Urban Outfitters), Dolce Vita wedges (Thank you to Park Lane), Straw Fedora (here),  Aqua scarf old, similar (here),  Fringe handbag (Vertigo boutique)

Jewelry: Penny Suede lariat necklace (Thank you to Samanca), Monogram necklace (Love), Ivory beaded bracelet (Thank you to Femme Fatale),  Michael Kors watch old, similar (here), beaded wrap bracelet (here), Natural stone ring (Frock Candy)

Good Morning readers! Let me just start by saying that I adore this outfit!  I’ve worn this skirt and top in previous outfit posts (Jazz Fest & Aqua and Tangelo Orange), but this one is by far my favorite.  It’s just such a fun and casual outfit that you could wear out to lunch and shopping with the girls or on a day time date.  The scarf and fedora remind me of vacation because it’s too hot in Louisiana for summer scarves so I usually only wear them while traveling.  I posted a picture below of me wearing a scarf and fedora while visiting my family in California last summer.  I know I look like such a tourist, but I love it!!  In case you’re wondering, yes, that is my boyfriend!  We are both squinting our eyes in this picture because of how bright it was, but man, would I kill to be there right now!

By the way, I couldn’t decided what I liked better between the Samanca necklace and the aqua scarf.  That is why I photographed both.  Which one do you like better?

Amanda Uprichard Part 1

Photos by: Max Zoghbi

My outfit: Amanda Uprichard high low blouse and hot pink silk shorts (Thank you to Rodeo),  It Don’t Mean a Thing Platform wedges (Seychelles)

Jewelry: Aqua earrings and bracelets (Thank you to Rodeo),  Ivory beaded bracelet (Thank you to Femme Fatale), Michael Kors watch old, similar (here), necklaces (Love)

Ava’s outfit: Amanda Uprichard Champagne dress in hot pink (Thank you to Rodeo), Dolce Vita wedges (Thank you to Park Lane), Turquoise necklace old, similar (here), Mini Mac bag in bright green (Rebecca Minkoff)

Good Morning readers, I had so much fun shooting the new Amanda Uprichard arrivals with the manager of Rodeo boutique, Ava Lemoine.  Isn’t she just darling!  Ava showed the me all of the new AU pieces immediately upon arrival, and I instantly fell for them.  The line offers ridiculously beautiful bright colors and unique, tribal-like prints.  I’m so thankful to Rodeo for providing me with all of the clothes to style and share with you, and I’m especially glad that Ava agreed to help me feature the line.

I wish I could have added some arm candy to Ava, but we didn’t have very much time before the shoot.  However, considering that we put all of this together at 6 am, I’d say we did a pretty darn good job.  How much do you love that bright green Rebecca Mini MAC bag against the hot pink dress?  It matched perfectly with the three-strand turquoise necklace.  I of course paired her outfit with some nude Dolce Vita wedges from Park Lane since there was already enough color from the the dress and accessories.  If you love this post, then make sure to head on over to Rodeo today to these pieces while they’re still in stock!  Also, check back tomorrow for some more Amanda Uprichard!!

P.S.  Get excited because I’m shooting the VSA giveaway today, and will hopefully launch it on Monday!  Follow me on Instragram @Jennifarrr if you’re anxious for a sneak peek!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Black and Blue for Summer

Photos by: Max Zoghbi

Outfit: Black dress shorts (Urban Outfitters old but similar here), Cobalt blue blouse (Ann Taylor old but similar here),  White blazer (Forever 21),

The Rhonda wedges in black and tan (Dee Keller),

Jewelry: San Benito pendant necklace (VSA available at Park Lane in Lafayette), Gold cross necklace (Love),  The Tale of Three Stones ring (Zariin), Michael Kors watch

Hello everyone, I hope some of you were able to benefit from yesterday’s post (Embellished Laundry + Grad Gifts)  on graduation dresses and gifts.  Please let me know if you have questions about any of those items!  I’ve already gotten a few calls about some of them, and I truly love hearing from you.

Anyway back to this outfit,  black and blue is one of my favorite color combos during the fall and winter.  Well, I missed wearing those two so much that I decided to figure out a way to incorporate those colors into a summer look.  I just feel so sophisticated and put together when wearing that color combo.  What do you think of way I styled it here?  I honestly love it and think the white boyfriend blazer makes this outfit look effortlessly chic and really allows the blue to pop.  Oh and how can I not mention these wedges!  These are probably my favorite Dee Keller shoes because they’re so practical, yet so unique!  I know I’ll get such a good wear out of them because they’re a neutral color, comfortable and just tall enough to wear with my bell bottom jeans.

See how I styled Black and Blue together with Dl1961 coated denim and the same cobalt blouse in the picture below.  Click on the picture to see the actual post.

P.S.  I’ve decided to extend the deadline of the $100 Park Lane Gift Card Giveaway until this Sunday, May 20th at 11:59 p.m. because I feel like I didn’t give you all enough time to enter last week!  So here is another chance for you to win!  Just click the ad below to see how to enter!
