ICYMI I took my mom, my son & my 90-year-old grandmother to the @englishtearoom1 as a part of my Northshore Restaurant Tour! It was quite the feat, but was still a lovely time! And for those of you asking how my 90-year-old grandmother still looks so great and gets around so well…. I’m putting my money on the Zumba classes! She also walks a mile everyday and always drinks lemon water!

Trust me you need to bring your grandmother to tea! I’ve been going to this to this adorable tea room in downtown Covington for years and I recently brought my mom, my son & my 90-year-old grandmother! When she put on the hat we got her she said “This is charming! I haven’t worn a little hat in over 30 years!” And we were like just you wait!! The @Englishtearoom1 sits right in the middle of beautiful downtown Covington surrounded by delicious restaurants and little antique shops. My favorite part of this tea room is the red telephone booth in the courtyard and the front porch that overlooks one of the most beautiful streets with oak trees that just cascade over each other. Each little room inside has an English themed name like “The Queens Parlor” and “The Tudor Room”. We sat in the sanctuary room with all the windows and ordered the Prince William High Tea with some extra scones for Beck! The we chose tea called “Here Comes the Bride” tasted just like wedding cake and I’m not even exaggerating!
Our experience was a little chaotic with a 5-year-old boy, but memories were made and my grandmother said she had a wonderful time and even requested that she leave the tip!
I highly recommend doing this with your grandmother and/or mom!

We celebrated Brooks turning 3🎂yesterday & still found a way to make it special even though our entire family was out of town including Blake! We’re glad dad made it back just in time last night for a celebratory dinner though! We love our sweet boy and we’ve been celebrating his birthday nonstop lately so don’t worry he still felt super special on his birthday!
Also, had to bring the boys to baby shower with me and was quickly reminded why I always avoid doing that!😂 #boymom life am I right?

Felt like this family trip to Rosemary Beach deserved a permanent spot on the feed! Maybe one of these days I’ll actually print some family photos and hang them in our house! 😂
The boys had an absolute blast playing in the pool and going to the beach each day not to mention the endless popsicles, ice cream and snacks! I’m so grateful we’re able to give them these special memories!

If you’re looking for fun birthday gift ideas for young kids this summer or bringing toddlers to the beach, trust me this toy is it! It keeps them entertained for hours & it’s under $24! The boys got these surfer dudes for their birthday and they were a hit on our beach trip! You throw them out into the water and the surf right back to the beach! The kids had so much fun and everyone people stopped us to ask where we got them so I’m linking them here for your kids to enjoy too!

**Side note for parents: even though Blake and I were with Beck in the over because he’s still too young to be alone, I kept teaching to him to turn around and spot our umbrella so he always knew where to find us if he needed help. Also, I told him if he couldn’t see our umbrella that meant he was too far! He was having so much fun that most times he didn’t notice when we were halfway down the beach with the surfer dudes!**
