NOLAFW Day 5
Good Morning readers, the following photos are from my attempt to capture the Tallulah Designs Fall 2013 Collection Presentation. Tallulah Designs’ and Amanda Deleon’s collections were among my top favorites during NOLA Fashion Week, which is what you’ll be seeing on Haute Off The Rack today.
Each of Tallulah’s pieces from the vibrant and colorful prints to the brocade-textured skirts and dresses can be worked into your daily wardrobe and even worn for special occasions. The classic and lady-like style of her clothing make it easy for you to transition the pieces from day to night with just a few tweaks to your accessories.
This textured winter-white cape was by far the most beautiful piece by Tallulah Designs. I can’t wait to get my hands on it in the Fall.

At this point, I realized that I better let the professional photographers take over. So the following photos are by Black and Geauxld Photography and Brei Olivier.
We saw so many stunning shades of the color of the year on the runways this season, Pantone 17-5641 Emerald Green.

Amanda Deleon put the audience into a trance with her exquisitely detailed collection. Each individual detail from the gold sequins and rich velvet fabric to the the detailed leather cut-outs and draped fringe could bring a tear to your eye from its astounding beauty.
“It’s as if Amanda went into my head, tapped into my black + gold dreams,
and then made them in tulle and leather,” said Sarah Barnett of Think Twice Style.
“The Amanda DeLeon show blew our minds as expected,” said Katie Dumestre and Rachel Adams of The Elizabeth Chronicles, “If you didn’t look close enough you would miss something carefully molded into the leather.”

Good Morning readers, as you know last week I attended a few shows during NOLA Fashion week. The NOLA Fashion Council along with local designers put on an absolutely fabulous week of runway shows and I can’t wait until next fashion week in March 2013! It was so great getting to see Isabel Varella again and I’m so glad I was able to view Izavel’s S/S 2013 collection since we recently collaborated together. Her Spring/Summer collection is full of soft pastel colors and aqua hues. I was also very impressed with Kallie Forster’s first official collection. She took tribal prints to the next level. Last but not least, I thoroughly enjoyed the classic southern look of Jolie & Elizabeth’s S/S 2013 collection. I was even able to get an interview with them so you’ll get to know and love these two talented New Orleans designers very soon.

NOLA Baubles & Bloggers Brunch
Good Morning readers! This past Sunday I attended the NOLA Fashion Council Baubles & Bloggers Brunch with Brighton Keller (Brighton The Day), her friend Allison and my best friend Jessica. We had such a great time catching up while enjoying 25 cent mimosas and delicious brunch at Saint Marie. We also got to meet each one of the featured designers as well as other local Baton Rouge Bloggers and even the special guest bloggers from New York like Brooklyn Blonde, My Style Pill, Saucy Glossie, East Sleep Wear and Keikolynn.

Hey everyone, sorry that I didn’t post anything yet today. I’ve just been super crazy busy, but all for very good reasons! Today, I had an interview with the editor of 225 Magazine because they are running a feature on me in the 225 September Fashion Issue to promote the Avenue Rouge Fashion show on September 27, 2012. You can read all about it once they release the issue this September! Needless to say, I’m ecstatic! Also, I’ve been emailing back and forth with Amanda Uprichard and AG jeans for upcoming collaborations as well as going through all of the Johnny Was Fall 2012 look books and line sheets for that upcoming feature.
