Spring Bridal Shower Invitations

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing the spring bridal shower invitations that I created with Minted for the shower I’m hosting for my best friend this weekend. I even threw in the personalized thank you cards for the bride because they were just too pretty to pass up! Just to give you a little back story, I’ve only been wanting to be a maid of honor for my whole life so I’m sure you can imagine how I excited I am being that this is my first time. I even used to randomly text my friends like a freak and double check that I’d still be their maid of honor if they got married tomorrow because I’m ridiculous like that. I live to plan things though. It’s my specialty so of course it makes sense as to why I love planning parties, events, trips and staged photo shoots for my blog! I love all of it from the themed decorations and flower arrangements to the delicious food and extravagant cake.

However, the one thing that is not my speciality is designing invitations. I’m so jealous of all graphic design majors! If I could go back again that is most definitely what I would do. Thankfully, Minted.com makes it super easy to create the most beautiful invitations just by entering in your event information and then they take care of the printing, the envelopes and even the thank you cards! Once they arrived, which was about a week and a half after I ordered them, all I had to do was simply address and stamp them. Super easy, right? Minted also offers a variety of other invitation designs such as birthdays parties, graduations, holiday cards, birth announcements, save the dates and even wedding invitations. Those are just a few examples to name, but make sure to check out their site to see more of whey they offer.

I hope the shower turns out as beautifully as the invitations did, but I have a good feeling it will considering all of the other 10 bridesmaids have been so amazing in doing their part. Stay tuned on snapchat this weekend for behind the scenes action of us setting up for the shower! I’ll be sure to share all of our party ideas on the blog for all you other maid of honors! I will be also be sharing bachelorette party ideas next month so be sure to check that out too!

Tips For Packing Made Easy

Hey everyone, today I’m sharing tips for packing made easy or you can always just hire Rachel Adams who gave me these tips! Speaking of packing, I just made it to Rhode Island for North East Style Week and I’m wishing I would have followed these tips because I totally failed my suitcase. Rachel recently helped me pack for New York Fashion Week and she did such an amazing job that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to pack again without her and I mean I clearly can’t! You should take a look at my giant over-packed suitcase right now with “nothing in it” if that makes! I’m sure all the over packers know what I’m talking about!

When it came to getting me packed and ready for NYFW, I thought I was doomed because I had only  one day in between my Colorado ski trip and New York. Thank goodness that Rachel came to the rescue. I basically told her all of the pieces that I definitely wanted to wear as well as my entire NYFW itinerary. Then she worked her magic and went through my entire closet to help me put all of the looks together for each show and party. She even helped me choose backup outfits in case I changed my mind about a certain look. We also took pictures of every look so I could refer to them in my phone throughout the trip. I’m aware that I know how to style looks and pack outfits myself, but when you have a lot going on in your life, packing for special occasions can be stressful. So it’s super nice to have someone like Rachel step in and take over.

P.S. You may recognize Rachel from TEC, but when she’s not working with The Elizabeth Chronicles, she’s keeping people organized & stylish! Scroll to the bottom to see some of the looks that she helped me put together for New York Fashion Week.

Quick Wardrobe & Packing Tips from Rachel:

– Have a rough itinerary of your trip and pack accordingly. Also, it never hurts to add an extra piece, or two.
– Always check the weather when packing!
– Try and fold your outfits together in your luggage.
– Go through your closet at the end of every season, & purge
– If you can’t decide if you should get rid of something or not, revisit the piece in six months. If you haven’t worn it since then, toss it.
– I find it helpful to organize my closet my type, cut & color. For example: Tops, Sleeveless, blue.
– Don’t keep your shoe boxes if you don’t need them. They take up too much space!

If you have any additional questions for Rachel or if you’re looking for someone to help you purge and revamp your wardrobe, you can contact Rachel at RachelElizabethStyle@gmail.com

Anyway, back to Rhode Island, I’m so excited to be here, but I’m super exhausted from 5:30 am flight. Not to mention the God-awful turbulence we experienced from the wind in DC. Y’all I’m talking Tower of Terror style! I just had to close my eyes and pray! I survived of course and am already sprawled out across the bed in my hotel room.
