On-The-Go Beauty With Clinique

Good Morning readers, today I’m sharing some of my favorite Clinique products with you and the best part is that right now you can receive all of these items as a gift with purchase at Belk! I always love the Clinique gifts because not only do I love the products but also because they come in mini travel sizes that fit perfectly in my handbag or carry-on.

Here is what you’ll find in your gift bag from Belk for the on-the-go Beauty with Clinique:

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + – I’m so glad that the bag included the iconic “yellow lotion” because I use it at home and now I can bring along a smaller size when I travel.

NEW Turnaround Daytime Revitalizing Moisturizer –I was so happy when I realized that bag included the Clinique Turnaround Daytime Moisturizer because I’ve wanted to try it out especially since I love their DDML so much!

All About Shadow Trio in Bubble Bath, Portobello, and Graphite or Mist, Pacific Coast, and Olive in my Martini – My favorite shade is the “olive in my martini” or “pacific coast.”

NEW Chubby Cheek in Roly Poly Rosy – it’s the perfect cheeky blush stick for all you on-the-go gals.

NEW Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in Matte Petal or Matte Suede – Not only is this the newest addition to the Long Last collection, but it also gives your lips that perfect shade of nude for a soft natural look.

Lash Doubling Mascara – I’ve been using this mascara since I was a teenager because my mom has always used Clinique makeup so it was the first mascara I’ve ever tried! I’ve continued using Clinique mascaras because I find that they don’t clump, which is a deal breaker for me!

Thank you to Clinique & Belk for bringing you this post. All opinions are my own.

Hi everyone! I apologize for the late post today, but I had the worst sinus headache all day. Anyway, I’m all better now and I’m so excited to share day 1 of our New Orleans French Quarter “Stylecation” with you!  I teamed up with Krystal of A Pinch of Lovely and Juley of Upperlyne & Co to give you five whole days of New Orleans fashion, food and fun just in time for Mardi Gras! We’ll tell you all of the best places to drink, dine and wine (oh and sleep) in New Orleans.

French Quarter Stylecation:  (noun) /stīl/ + \vā-ˈkā-shən, və-\ = a style guide on what to wear to all of the best places to eat, drink, party and sleep in New Orleans!

(not pictured– the ridiculous amount of luggage that we really packed for the week!) Thank goodness that the bell hops were top notch and helped me lug two whole carts full of my stuff up to our room! I give the Saint Hotel not 5, but 6 stars for their impeccable customer service! Check out my twitter (@hauteofftherack) if you want to see what my luggage really looked like!

On Day 1 of our French Quarter Stylecation, we checked into one of New Orleans’ newest hotels, the Saint Hotel located on Canal Street just around the corner from the Quarter. I love the hotel’s modern style with a mix of heaven-meets-hell.  The lobby is simply stunning with it’s long dining room table surrounded by lucite chairs and the beautiful chandeliers that hang inside of large gold bells.  My favorite part about the rooms other than the perfect city view and comfy beds is the exposed brick walls and long white curtains.

See more on the Saint Hotel tomorrow!

If there is one place that you must absolutely visit in the French Quarter, it is none other than Cafe Beignet. Cafe Beignet on Royal St. is the most darling little spot to enjoy mouth-watering beignets and café au lait! The cafe is open to the street, so it’s perfect for people watching in the Quarter. The characters in the Quarter are pretty interesting even on a normal Wednesday morning! So keep your eyes open!

Cafe Du Monde is another great place to stop for beignets too, but I love the sweet and quaint atmosphere of Cafe Beignet especially when I want to avoid the hustle and bustle of tourists in Jackson Square! It’s a local hidden gem!

Every time I’m in New Orleans, I always want to stop at Felipe’s on N Peters St. to chow down on some fish tacos or I like to run by District Donut on Magazine for some donut sliders. Right now they even have a special King Cake donut in honor of Carnival Season. Those are just two places, but don’t worry I have a whole list of all my favorite places to brunch, lunch, snack and dine in New Orleans!

My Favorite NOLA Brunch Spots:
Court of Two Sisters
Antoine’s
Elizabeth’s

My Favorite Snack Spots In NOLA:

Snowballs in the summer

My Favorite Lunch Spots In NOLA:

Cochon Butcher

My Favorite Dinner Spots In NOLA:

Jacques Imo’s
Galatoire’s

Peche
Latitude 29
Borgne

First time in NOLA? Plan out your meals first! Can you tell I’m a foodie? It’s not just me, though—New Orleans is the place to dine! Once you finish your meal itinerary, pencil in a little shopping on Magazine Street and some leisure time to stroll through the St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square and the beautiful streets in the Garden District. I also love walking down Royal Street to admire all of the stunning old architecture, live street music and the brightly colored houses. If you want to try something really fun, schedule a cooking class at the New Orleans School of Cooking. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll learn! Plus, you get to enjoy wine and a little French Quarter history while you cook. They’ll even show you how to make homemade pralines! One more thing: Do me a favor and don’t leave the French Quarter without stopping for beignets at Café Du Monde or Café Beignet! I promise that they’re worth it!

Shopping: I love shopping at Haus 131, Elle boutique and Sincerely Luxe on Magazine St. as well as the Shops at Canal Place. I always like to stop at Emma’s Shoes and Candy Apple in Metairie on the way to the city as well.

This post was brought to you by the Glitter Guide. A huge thanks to my amazing team for making this post possible!
