Good morning everyone!  Yesterday was such a busy day with school, work  and the photo shoot with Max and Meghan Price.   If you’re life is anything like mine, then you’re always on-the-go.  When I’m running around all day I like to wear a comfortable pair of flats, length appropriate shorts and a loose top.  I’ll even bring along a boyfriend blazer in case it gets cool.  You’ll also see me carrying a large tote that can fit my lap top for work and school, my make-up bag for a quick touch up, and maybe even a snack if its going to be a long day.  I also keep a wristlet inside of my purse to hold my phone, keys, wallet and lip balm for easy access to my most important items.  I absolutely love the hot coral J. CREW shorts.  They come in so many different colors and are the perfect length!  I also must tell you that the tan J. CREW bag is such a great steal because it looks just like the Celine luggage handbag which is $1,995.00.

Yesterday’s photo shoot was such a success with Max and Fashion Inspiration Feature: Meghan Price.  We ended up going to three different locations to shoot, but we got a ton of great shots and I was able to get in about eight different outfits.    We couldn’t have asked for better weather.  It was an absolutely gorgeous sunny day with a slight breeze, and the scenery exceeded my expectations.  There was only issue in which I got water proof eye-liner all over my new dress.  Thankfully, after scrubbing the spots with a tooth brush, laundry detergent and warm water I was able to rid of the stain!   It will be a few days before I’ll have the photos from Max, but here are two pictures we took with Meghan’s phone before we wrapped up the day.

Have a wonderful day!

Hello Everyone!  I hope you all thoroughly enjoyed your weekend, but it’s back to work on Monday.  Speaking of work, this is an outfit I chose because quite a few people requested some new, chic, work wear looks.  They enlightened me that they would not want to strut any bright colors till the end of march so I put together a few transition pieces!  The white blazer is actually a boyfriend blazer, but with the help of a thin belt it was easily turned into a fitted, business-like, yet feminine blazer making this outfit instantly chic!  The skirt from express is so comfortable and the taupe color is very versatile making it an easy transition piece into the spring.  This particular skirt may a little too short for some of you being that I am only 5 ft tall.  Despite its reputation you can actually find some work wear gems at Express.   Beneath the white blazer I am wearing a sheer, black Patterson Kincaid blouse over a black tank, but any black blouse would work for this outfit.  I chose nude pumps since I am short and wanted to lengthen my legs a tad with the taupe skirt and nude heels.  I like to feel tall and empowered at work!  All of the pieces of this outfit are fairly inexpensive except for my purse, but I believe in investing in one nice, black leather bag that can easily go day to night.  To me, a nice leather purse is a staple item that every woman should own.  However, if you aren’t ready for that just yet, there are plenty of cute inexpensive handbags out there.   As far as jewelry, I think all you need is a simple watch, necklace, one cuff or bracelet and your basic rings to keep a classic, clean look.  I again used a matte red lipstick to pull the whole look together.  I am just loving this Shanghai Express shade!  What did you wear to work today?

P.S.  These photos are from the rainy, freezing cold photo shoot hence the umbrella.

Also, if you noticed…my hair looks a little fuller because sweet Courtney Johnson from Rigsby Frederick salon, inserted a few hair extensions into my hair.  She did a great a job and she is super precious.  I just might have to feature her as an F.I.F!

Hello World,  this is my first official outfit post.  I can’t wait to share all of my future outfit posts with you, and I hope they will inspire your personal style.  In this post I’m wearing one of Karina Grimaldi’s beautiful maxi dresses from her Spring 2012 collection that I got from Park Lane boutique.  The slit is really high, but was easily tamed with a piece of Matchsticks fashion tape.  I hope you all have a wonderful day!

P.S.  Keep an eye for my first fashion inspiration feature model: Brighton Keller!
