Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was full of packing and preparing for my new house!  Make sure to follow me on Instagram @Jennifarrr to see pictures of my new humble abode!

Alright, so if you’ve been following Haute Off The Rack for a while then I’m sure you’re fully aware that I’m huge fan of leather!  You also must know that I love to try and incorporate current trends into my look.  Well, this past spring peplums began blooming just about everywhere and people were picking them like wild flowers.  Even as a huge fan of the trend, I thought for sure that all the rage over peplums would fade away with the leaves of Fall, but after seeing this to-die-for faux leather top I quickly changed my mind.  Not to worry ladies!  It looks like peplums are here to stay so keep calm and peplum on!

**Note:  The word peplum and the actual structure of a peplum remind me of a flower because of the way it flares outward and gives the outfit more definition like in the same way that a flower blooms outward and makes a plant more appealing.  That may sound silly, but I just thought I’d explain why I was referring to peplums as if they were a type of flower in the paragraph above.

By the way, I love how the faux leather material gives this peplum top an edgier and bolder look instead of the usual sweet and dainty characteristics of a peplum.

P.S.   Impress for less with these $29 Qupid Toe Cap Pumps instead of the $665 YSL Toe Cap Pumps.  What a steal!

Outfit: Sleeveless Tie Front Dress (Thank you to Amanda Uprichard),  Pointed Toe Pumps (Boutique 9)

Jewelry: Michael Kors watch old, but similar (here),   Ivory beaded bracelet (Thank you to Femme Fatale),  Natural Stone ring (Frock Candy),    Golden Sun Studded bracelet (Urban Outfitters),   Classic Pave Link Bracelet (J. Good Morning readers, how adorable is this silk sleeveless Amanda Uprichard dress?  Remember a while back when I mentioned an upcoming collaboration with Amanda Uprichard?  Well, this dress arrived along with three other great pieces that she sent me from her Summer 2012 collection.  This bright green silk dress can easily transition from day to night and from working in the office to a night out with the girls just by adding the right accessories.  For laid-back day time look, add a neutral colored wedge, some fun bracelets and a simple necklace.  For a sophisticated work look, pair the dress with some nude pointed-toe pumps, a cropped white blazer and a bold face watch.

I’ve already worn and posted about the silk taupe V-neck tank that she sent, which is an essential item to a woman’s wardrobe.   Check out the photo below to see how I styled the AU top for the NOLA Fashion Council Baubles and Bloggers Brunch.

Get ready for more AU to come and get excited about the Fall 2012 Amanda Uprichard Giveaway to promote the relaunch of their new Web site hosted by Haute Off The Rack!

Hey everyone, sorry that I didn’t post anything yet today.  I’ve just been super crazy busy, but all for very good reasons!  Today, I had an interview with the editor of 225 Magazine because they are running a feature on me in the 225 September Fashion Issue to promote the Avenue Rouge Fashion show on September 27, 2012.  You can read all about it once they release the issue this September! Needless to say, I’m ecstatic!  Also, I’ve been emailing back and forth with Amanda Uprichard and AG jeans for upcoming collaborations as well as going through all of the Johnny Was Fall 2012 look books and line sheets for that upcoming feature.  Just to give you a little heads up, Amanda Uprichard is sponsoring a giveaway with Haute Off The Rack in early Fall to promote the relaunch of their website so get excited to win a piece from her amazing Fall 2012 collection!

The necklaces below are two of my favorites pieces by Saint Claude, one of the featured designers that will be present at the trunk show this Sunday during the Baubles and Bloggers Brunch!

Pictured below is today’s arm candy and what I wore to the 225 interview.  View more of these pictures on Instagram @Jennifarrr!  Also, feel free to shoot me an email at Jenn.hauteofftherack@gmail.com if you’re interested in where any of the bracelets are from!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a great start to your weekend.  Mine is full of work work work, but I’m so glad that next weekend is the beginning of Easter break so hopefully I’ll have a nice relaxing few days.  I’ll post a styled board of Easter outfits at some point this week to give you some ideas.  Anyway, back to the outfit… This French Connection shift dress is absolutely stunning in person.  The lace crocheted material gives the dress a vintage vibe, and you can’t help but notice the beautiful scalloped detail throughout the fabric.  I have always been a huge fan of French Connection becuase they create such classic pieces while still maintaining a fresh and innovative style.

I of course added some color by pairing it with my Bijoutiere earrings, and one of my favorite pairs of Dee Keller shoes, the Kelly in teal suede. You’ll see my other favorite Dee Keller shoes styled in different outfits very soon!  If you’re interested in purchasing these shoes please contact Dee Keller at DeeKeller4@gmail.com!
