Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Eve and day! I can’t believe it’s all over now. At least we have New Year’s Eve to look forward to and some amazing “get what you really wanted” after-Christmas sales! I’m actually clicking through Nordstrom’s clearance sale right now. They have some crazy good deals on some of your favorite items from this fall and winter like Dolce Vita Ankle Boots, this sassy Joa Dress and these cozy sweater pajamas!

About this look: In today’s post, I’m wearing my favorite pair of J Brand ankle cropped jeans paired with a two-tone sweater and a sleeveless trench coat for an edgy-chic vibe. To maintain the feminine and fashion forward look, I styled the outfit with some sleek ankle boots, a classic, lady-like satchel and a pair of Oxydo Society Sunglasses from Nordstrom. Oxydo Society sunglasses are the perfect stylish yet affordable alternative to the designer sunglasses you can’t bring yourself to splurge on quite yet.  Shop Nordstrom’s cool sunny selection here–> Oxydo Society Sunglasses

This is such an effortlessly chic outfit that is perfect to wear while you’re out shopping, running errands or even meeting friends for lunch! I actually wore this styled look for coffee and beignets at Cafe Beignet in the French Quarter and then out to lunch at the Omni Royal Orleans during our “style-cation” in New Orleans.

Jewelry: Vesta Cuff Ring c/o Gorjana | Bar End Cap Cuff c/o French Connection

Good Morning readers, this is another one of my transitional outfits that I have on repeat. I’m embarrassed to even tell you how many times I’ve worn this grey jean and plaid shirt combo.  I can’t help it! It’s all I want to wear these days!  I’m so glad that plaid shirts have made it another year because they are perfect to wear during the early fall phase when it’s too hot for sweaters. Also, they’re super cute to layer beneath sweaters once it does get cooler.

As for the booties, I’ve got three words for you…. YOU NEED THEM! End of story!

Good Morning readers, aren’t you so glad that it’s finally Friday?  I am, and today is extra special because one of my best friends, Abby is getting married tomorrow and I’m one of the bridesmaids. I’ve never been a bridesmaid before so I’m really excited for all the festivities to begin.  Anyway about the outfit, I can’t help but instantly feel cooler when I slip on a pair of distressed denim jeans, a plain white tee and some aviators.  I mean you can’t get much cooler than that. Right?  I completed the look with a collared necklace from T+ J Designs for some added flair and the mint clutch for a fresh pop of color.  I think this is such a great transitional outfit into spring. What do you think? Oh and about the title, these photos just reminded me of the intro to the song “Tiny Dancer” when he sings “Blue Jean Baby, L.A. Lady, Seamstress for the band.”  Plus I just really like that song! 🙂

P.S. I just thought I should warn you to get ready for wedding picture overload on my Instagram and Facebook this weekend.  Here are two photos from the Bridal Luncheon at Galatoire’s in New Orleans yesterday!  Obviously the bride-to-be is in the middle wearing a a gorgeous lace BCBG dress.

Dark Wine & Panama Prints

*Outfit: Amanda Uprichard Tina Halter in Panama (The Mix in Mandeville), Wax Coated Denim in Dark Wine (J Brand), Ankle Wrap Heels (BCBG, old)

Jewelry: La Mer Collections Wrap Watch (The Villa in Mandeville), Renegade Cluster Bracelet (Stella & Dot),  Vintage-Inspired Franny Ring (Club Monaco)

Good Morning readers, this is my third post on how to wear these gorgeous wax-coated skinnies in Dark Wine by J Brand Jeans. This could possibly be my favorite combination out of the three because I absolutely love how the rich, dark wine color just pops against this Amanda Uprichard printed Tina Halter.  Speaking of the halter top by AU, it comes in a beautiful assortment of vibrant colors along with this Panama Print.  The best part about this top is its versatility!  The styling options for this printed top are endless!  It looks super sophisticated and classy tucked into a fitted pencil skirt or dressy shorts.  You can even wear it work if you pair it with a tailored blazer. As you can see, this print looks amazing with colored bottoms because it allows the colors to stand out! If you don’t own any colored denim, I highly recommend trying out this rich opulent color.  However, if colored denim isn’t your thing, this printed top will still look just as stunning with a colored shoe or blazer.
