10 Must-Have Beauty Products For Summer!

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, summer is quickly approaching so today I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom to share my top 10 must-have beauty products for summer.

My Top 3 Favorites:

  1. The Beauty Blender | I love using the Beauty Blender to apply everything from moisturizer and primer to foundation and even concealer. Just don’t forget to wet it first so that it doesn’t absorb the product. I also recommend buying the cleanser so that it doesn’t build up bacteria over time! Fortunately Nordstrom carries both
  2. Diorshow Waterproof Mascara | I kid you not that I have been using this same mascara for over ten years! I love the size of the wand and bristles and the formula works so well with my lashes. Also, since it’s waterproof, you don’t have to worry about sweating and smudging it or swimming and having it run down your face during the summer.
  3. Laura Geller Spackle 30 SPF | With summer coming around the corner, I can’t stress SPF enough! If you can find a foundation or powder with SPF that you like for your skin, great! If not, I highly recommend the Laura Geller Spackle with 30 SPF, which you can also find at Nordstrom.

How To Style Colorful Sandals For Summer

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Mother’s Day! I’m just getting back into the swing of things since returning from Palm Beach. I actually didn’t want to leave and I’m currently plotting ways on how I shall return to Palm Beach and maybe even move there. Okay…so maybe I won’t go as far as moving there, but I will definitely be visiting again very soon. As you an see from the photos below, I’m not exaggerating when I say that every corner, front yard, alleyway and even stairway were just so breathtaking! I was so glad that I packed a suitcase full of printed dresses, rompers and colorful accessories to complement the beautiful backdrops of Palm Beach including these spicy mustard sandals from Sole Society in today’s post.

Speaking of the sandals featured in today’s post, I notice that a lot of people tend to avoid colorful sandals in fear of them not “matching” anything in their wardrobe. Well, I’m here to tell you that when it comes to styling colorful items, your outfit doesn’t have to actually “match” your accessories, it just needs to “go” with them! In other words, your colorful shoes or accessories don’t have to be the exact same color as the print in your outfit, the colors and textures just have to complement each other.

For example, my spicy mustard sandals don’t match the exact shade of yellow in my romper, but they do complement the soft yellow, poppy red and green in the print.

The One-Piece Swimsuits You Need For Summer!

Happy Weekend! If you follow along with Haute Off The Rack regularly then I’m sure you’ve seen me rocking quite a few one-pieces already this season! However, there are two styles in particular that I absolutely love and 100% recommend for you! I’m referring to my Becca one-piece swimsuits from Nordstrom. Last summer I purchased this black lace one-piece and I loved it so much that I purchased a second one in white along with two more similar styles this season. This is the similar styled I ordered and fell in love with—> Siren One-Piece Swimsuit  I love how it covers my stomach while still showing plenty of skin and the cut is super flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing the size S and it fits perfectly.

I like to order lots of options to try on in the comfort of my own my home because swimsuit shopping can be tricky. Fortunately, Nordstrom carries all of my favorite Becca styles so I can easily order them all from one place and return the ones that don’t work for free. Additionally, Nordstrom carries all the other accessories you need for the beach like coverups, straw totes and clutches, sun hats, beach towels, sunscreen and sunglasses.

Beat The Skincare Blues with Tula

Happy Friday everyone, I know we haven’t discussed my skincare routine in a while, but with the summer coming quickly around the corner, I figured that now was the perfect time. During the summer I usually like to rock a fresh, makeup-free face. However, I feel slightly self-conscious going bare-faced if my complexion isn’t up to parr. With that being said, I always recommend amping up your skincare game by adding some additional steps or getting rid of unnecessary steps. I also suggest taking a look at the products you’re currently using to decide if they’re suitable for your “summer skin.” Yes I said “summer skin”  because recognizing the changes in your skin throughout the four seasons is vital to your skincare routine because your skin may require different products/steps depending on the weather.

I know most people don’t like having to change up their routine including myself, but fortunately I found a skincare line that works with my skin throughout all seasons. I’m talking about beating the skincare blues with the TULA blues (aka TULA products), which I have now been using for over a year. TULA uses probiotics as the foundation of their skincare line, which is clinically proven to help sooth and protect your skin. All the products are very light and gently, which make them ideal for using year round. Their probiotic technology also helps to promote hydration, pH balance, stress resistance and the natural balance of your skin’s microbiome.

On top of using these products during the summer, I also make sure to use plenty of SPF and drink lots of water to keep my skin hydrated. I especially love drinking alkaline water for ultra hydration.

If you’re interested in beating the skincare blues with the TULA blues, you’re in luck because I’ve teamed up with TULA to give you a special promo code for 20% OFF your entire purchase + free shipping!
