Watercolor Dress + Island Allure

Two exciting things people: 1) If you love Cella Boutique’s selection of clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories like this stunning, watercolor dress I’m wearing in today’s post, then you’ll be excited to hear that Cella’s will soon be opening their third location in Metairie, LA! Even more exciting news, I’m hosting their grand opening party along with Krystal from A Pinch of Lovely. We’ll keep you posted on the party date because the new location is still currently under construction.

2) In case you didn’t notice, I styled my watercolor dress with a fresh new, white cross body from Kelly Wynne’s latest Island Allure collection and if you’re a KW fan, then you’re going to die over her newest bag designs and colors. I especially love the new ‘Sorry I’m Not Sorry’ satchel in sey-shells featured in today’s post. My favorite part is the tassel detail on both sides of the bag along with the convenient cross body strap.

First Official Day of Spring 2016

Happy Spring everyone! It’s surprisingly chilly here in Louisiana considering that it’s the first official day of spring 2016. You definetly won’t see me wearing anything springy or sleeveless today. Thank goodness I had already taken these photos at Balboa Pier during my recent trip to California where the weather was absolutely perfect with just the right amount of breeze and warm sun. In fact, I’m already planning my next trip back.

Olive Dress for St. Patrick’s Day 2016

Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2016 everyone! I hope the day brings you plenty of luck. I know that St. Paddy’s Day requires wearing more of a Kelly Green color, but I much more prefer olive so that’s what I’m going with! On top of that, I love this easy, drawstring shirt dress for spring. It looks super cute paired with a summer hat and both flat sandals or wedges. You could even dress it up for a more sophisticated, work look with pumps and tailored blazer. I added a suede moto jacket to maintain the cool and casual vibe of the outfit plus it it still gets cool in the evenings in early spring.

Floral Swing Dress

One of my top go-to pieces for spring is a breezy, floral swing dress. They require little to no extra styling and they can easily go day to night with the right shoes and accessories. I especially love this swing dress from Chicwish because of the long, boho style bell sleeves. For today’s look, I styled the dress with a pair of neutral wedges, a saddle bag and plenty of gold bangles. I topped off the look with a floppy felt hat to complement the boho vibe of the dress. This outfit is perfect for a day time date with your guy or happy hour with the girls.

As far as other ways to wear this dress, I’ve also seen taller people rock it with a pair of cutoff shorts. I’m way too petite for that but I think it’s a super cute idea.
