Fall Trends To Try: Velvet Tanks, Dresses & Accessories

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! Next on my list of trends to try this fall is: velvet tanks, dresses and accessories. They’re perfect for dressing up during the holiday season or for adding a hint of texture to your wardrobe. I’m sure you all remember this velvet tank that I wore to the Britney Spears concert in Vegas and posted on Instagram a couple of weeks back. The one you all went crazy over! Well, today is your lucky day because not only is it Friday and payday, but also because my velvet tank has been restocked in six different colors! Yes, you read that right. Six! And you better believe that I will most definitely be purchasing another one in another color. I’m currently trying to decide between green and the grey, but who knows. I may end up with all size different tanks! Just kidding! Kinda… What color are you going for?

Faux Fur Vest + Swing Dress

The faux fur vest and swing dress combo is probably one of the easiest and most comfortable looks for fall. Not only can you easily dress the look up or down, but you can also get away with styling a little black swing dress multiple ways without anyone noticing you’ve worn the same dress like three times in one week! Yes, I’m guilty of that! Maybe even four for me! I found these exact two pieces at Herringstone’s Boutique and they have plenty more swing dresses and faux fur outwear to choose from!

The Lightweight Trench Coat

Fall is officially here, but it’s not quite cool enough in Louisiana for full on cozy sweaters and coats. However, it is definitely cool enough for the lightweight trench coat, which I’m currently in love with! The exact one I’m wearing below is from Naaz boutique and it’s the perfect mix of edgy, classic and chic!

Button Front Skirts

If there are two trends you need to try this season, I suggest sleeveless trenches and button front skirts! I promise you’ll feel so chic that you won’t regret trying them out!

Happy Friday everyone, I’m excited to share my first New York Fashion Week post with you today. I wore this outfit to the the Rebecca Vallance presentation and the Marissa Webb show on my second day in NYC. We also stopped at Sarabeth’s for brunch in between. If you follow me on snapchat (@hauteofftherack) then you know that I actually ate there two days in a row because it’s that good! I ordered the Shrimp Risotto the first time and then the Seafood Cobb Salad the second day because I was so jealous of Krystal’s dish!

About the outfit: Take this as a warning now, you will probably see me wearing this sleeveless trench coat more than you care to see over the next couple of months because I’m that obsessed! I’m also in love with button front skirts too. Make sure to check out how I styled my denim button front skirt in yesterday’s post–> Denim Skirts & Olive Shirts
