Good Morning readers, I hope you all had a great weekend. I had an amazing birthday with all of my friends and new Phillip Lim/Target bags. Thank you to everyone who helped who wished me happy birthday and helped make it special. I just had one minor set back on Sunday morning when my friend and I learned that our Target location didn’t receive the Phillip Lim handbag shipment. We were rather devastated considering we have been up since 6 am waiting outside of Target! Luckily, my boyfriend and I decided to stop by later that night right after Target had stocked the floor with the new Phillip Lim shipment. So I decided to stock up myself and for all of my friends. I was able to get everyone the bag they wanted along with all of my favorites too. I’m you sure you could imagine my excitement.
Anyway, about this look: Abbey and I wore black and white outfits with leather details to get that ultimate sleek and stylish look. As you know, leather is all the rage again for fall, but especially leather details like the sleeves of Abbey’s dress and her little black backpack. I am so loving a leather backpack this season to help give all of those classic and feminine looks some edge. For my look, I added the striped trench to help tone down tight fit of the dress and I wore pink lipstick to sweeten up the leather.

Good Morning readers, I apologize for my lack of blog posts lately, but I’m currently in California with my family because my grandmother passed away. Thank you all for your your patience and support and for my keeping my family in your prayers.
About the look: I recently collaborated with Abbey of District Dress Up and Gigi New York to showcase some of the new handbags from their fall 2013 collection. Since, Abbey is originally from Louisiana, we decided to give Gigi some southern hospitality and took our bags straight down to New Orleans for some good ole’ fashioned iced-coffee and beignets near the French Quarter.
For this look, I am carrying the Hayden Satchel and Abbey is wearing the Elle cross-body bag. The Hayden Satchel can also dual as a cross-body bag by just attaching its detachable/adjustable strap. This bag is perfect for me because it’s spacious enough to fit my planner, my wallet, a little notebook, my phone and some makeup with plenty extra room to spare. There is also large pocket on the back and another roomy interior pocket beneath the flap for my convenince. I like to keep my phone and keys in the back pocket so I can easily find them without having to dig through my entire purse. Also, I can’t forget to mention the real reason that I fell in love with this bag, which of course is its gorgeous shade of emerald green and it’s sleek embossed texture. The Hayden is the perfect mix of chic, sophisticated and masculine which meshes perfectly with this season’s menswear-inspired trend.

Good Morning readers, I know this isn’t the first time that you’ve seen me wearing this tee, but I love it so much I just had to style it again. Hopefully, it will be back in stock soon for you to purchase too! For this look, I decided to dress it up a little more with some printed ankle pants and a cropped tweed jacket with metallic detail. For shoes, I of course chose nude pumps to give my legs some length. I actually shot this outfit in the Crescent City with fashion bloggers, Abbey Brandon of District Dress Up and Juley Thuy of Upperlyne while they were both in town for the holidays. We had so much fun shooting our looks together and you will soon see Juley Thuy’s Fashion Feature interview on Haute Off The Rack.
